  1. Thanks Mr Way... give me an idea for a group buy of wash bottle caps and gear knobs... potentially!

    Red Brembos

This is as close as I could find... either way, red brembos for the win!
  3. Thanks mbs, good call. It's a horrible long drive to Hamburg, so that will save a bit of pain for sure!
  4. Pound for pound, there isn't much as hard as a weasel!
  5. I do love the LFA, but they already reviewed it a few series ago. Bit disappointing that they couldn't get something new with all the cars that have been released since the last series. The Raptor was awesome though!
  6. I've been meaning to do a road trip for a while and Denmark, Sweden and Norway are taking my fancy. A rough route I have in mind is: Leeds to Hull, Ferry to Zebrugge, Zebrugge to Hamburg, Hamburg to Copenhagen, Copenhagen to Gotenburg, Gotenburg to Oslo, Oslo to Bergen, Ferry back to Denmark and then home. Anyone been to any of these places or can recommend places to visit en route? Main concern is not being able to get super unleaded in remoter parts, but I can take octain booster and won't be hammering it all the time!
  7. As long as you go into these things knowing that you are going to have to spend money to keep the car running, then I don't see the issue. £2500 does seem like a lot of money, but what would anyone expect for a car that was over £70k a few years ago? On a side note, I saw a new blue M6 the other day... roll on horrendous depreciation... absolutely gorgeous car.
  8. This is cool, but is there not an entire forum for stuff spotted on eBay?
  9. I sat in the back of a TT when Gill took one for a test drive. Barely had enough leg room behind her, she's 5' 1", and I needed not to have a neck and torso, so was sat at an angle. 2 seats maybe for very small children, but a massive hassle getting them in and out. As a 2 seater it's hard to fault though.
  10. I only say black as Marzman's were black and the car looked so nice with them on. I'm guessing it's part of the reason Matt went for the same style Volks.
  11. It looks really nice mate and I love the style of those Volks, can't help thinking you need the centre spokes body coloured or black though...
  12. I have the single version with no heat shield and can't say I've ever noticed any significant loss of power. Heat soak is only really going to be an issue if you're stopped or moving slowly, in which case a miniscule loss of power is fairly insignificant. Takeda have indeed stopped producing these, so clearly didn't think they were required...or they just wanted to cut some costs!
  13. Sorry, going to have to completely disagree! I completely respect Darren for what is he is doing, but come on..... just because he knows how to do this "he loves and respects the car more". Seriously??!?!??? just because I choose to do what I am good at and pay someone else to do the work I dont "love it" as much...................... That wasn't a dig at you Graham, I am also enjoying your build thread and am looking forward to your 240 being finished too. If I had the money I would also be doing something similar to you (As I could never do what Darren and Leon are doing) and I would absolutely treasure the finished car. My point was more to do with the amount of man hours invested in the build would give you more of a connection to that car as you know you have fixed and finished every single part.
  14. This and the Jag thread are absolute treats. Anyone with enough money can get one of these cars to show standard, but doing everything yourself in your own time just shows a completely different level of love and respect for the car. Just incredible work and I hope I get to see the finished article one day in the future!
  15. I'm 17 years old and have just passed my driving test. Most normal civilised countries would have made my insurance premium so horrific that I couldn't drive anything more powerful than a petrol lawnmower... Enter the US of A! I can now afford a 300bhp rear wheel drive car... and by the way, you can call me Drift King.
  16. I've probably posted this about 10 times before, but I grew up between Waddington and Cranwell, so the Vulcan used to fly over all the time (Amongst other things). I would be massively up for a Vulcan related meet.
  17. I've never been hugely impressed with snow foam. I use the valet pro stuff and it never really seems to shift any dirt. I probably expect too much from it, like not having to actually wash the car after using it!
  18. There's too many crusty 50 year olds on here already!
  19. Was thinking the same. Defo looks like a Hooch to me! Nice job on the interior too, will be interesting to see it when it's all in place.
  20. done lol I like to make people rectify their own mistakes so they don't make them again he had 17 minutes and we had a repost of this thread due it not being obvious (otherwise I would have left it ) Yeah, we didn't want 2 "Mustang" threads again! I think I like this even more than the coupe, although it'll be more expensive so my usual ration of want:cost will remain unchanged.
  21. How did you pay? Unfortunately, it looks like a bank transfer as Will says above. Really bad news for the OP I'm afraid if his bank aren't going to help. I'd be tempted to go into a local branch if possible and speak to someone face to face. Your bank must have people that can investigate this type of fraud. As others have said though, depending on which bank and country the money was transferred, you may have very little chance of getting it back. Another reason to always use a Credit Card or PayPal for large transactions.
  22. I presume you only want 1 set Gary? First post updated, still require 3 Full sets!
