What Stu said on both counts.

Not a bad idea, that. Anyone handy with the stuff and lives near me?
Mask up, spray on a few thin layers... literally that simple. I am talentless and completely lacking patience and even I didn't manage to screw it up too much. You can even peel it off if you don't like it and start again.
Not seen my car look like that for ages... or that clean..

I hope the customer paid extra for having their nuts soaked!
Great work as always!

How do people undo the caliper bolts? I cant get a breaker bar in there as not enough space and they are seriously tight. Am I missing a trick because after 6 hours out there I've manage to do 1 rear disc and pad change. Give me motorbikes anyday!
What I did... is probably very wrong... but worked... First I sprayed penetrating fluid on the bolts and then I used a large hammer/mallet to tap the spanner until it was loose enough to turn by hand.

I'm in. I'll give Jamie a prod as well.

What was the Beavis judgement??
Basically, that he was the "Great Cornholio", that he came from lake Titicaca and needed TP for his "bunghole".

I could be completely wrong, but I like to think that a windscreen isn't structurally integral?

Parked right at the back, where I always go!

I still don't think electric cars are the answer, at least not fully electric. Hydrogen is surely the answer, although a good few years behind the electric variants at the moment and the investment required to get hydrogen infrastructure in place for consumers.

They do look nice on paper and in pictures (Especially the blue)... not seen one in the flesh though, but there is something about a 5 door hatch that is just so unappealing to me. 3 doors and may have put a deposit down already.
5 doors = parent mobile (Yes, I realise that the Lancia Delta had 5 doors - but think how much cooler it would have been with 3)
3 doors = hot hatch -
Put the old one back in... if it was replaced before it needed to be?

So cold that you'd think I'd have notice my fly was open
that is an unfortunate angle. You seem to have got quite severe frostbite!

As usual a really good drive out with a nice group. Thanks as ever for organising Matt.

Another nice article guys. Funnily enough I've been looking at e92 M3's today following reading another thread... now looking at 996's!

Looking good paddy!

Needs a good clean, but getting there...

Just realised my Zed is dirtier than any girl in Clitheroe and there's no time to wash her
Mine too mate... almost considered a hand wash place on the way home, but quickly saw sense.

Cool, see you tomorrow. I'm almost certain my mate Jamie is coming as well... he's just bought a Zed, so will be keen for a drive out.

Are we still meeting at the original time and location? i.e.
Booths Car Park: BB7 2JT
Meet between 8:30am and 9:00am We'll be leaving just after 9am for the drive. Nothing too crazy just heading through the Forest of Bowland, Ingleton upto Haws (we'll stop for a breakfast here as usual) then either head back the same way or continue the loop

Firstly, I'm with Admiral and they have never asked if I've been on the course or if I've been caught speeding. They have only asked if I have any convictions.
Secondly, I'm really not sure 'who' knows you've been on the course as 'police' checks don't seem to reveal the information either.
You can't lie about it! But if people don't ask and don't seem to be able to find the information then I don't see the harm in not mentioning it. Afterall, anyone CAN attend the course. You don't have to wait until your caught speeding.
Have you called and spoken to them? I did a quote last year for Gill's Beemer and they (Admiral) specifically asked about speed awareness courses. It was the reason I didn't renew with them the following year. The quote went up by about £40 as well which was a tad annoying, although it's to be expected.
Just because it doesn't ask on the comparison website (or directly on the insurers website), doesn't mean it isn't in their small print... probably worth checking. It's unlikely to ever come out unless you had a serious accident, but as other's have said, you would have breached your insurance policy and lied to get insurance... not something you want to declare in later years when trying to get insurance as they generally take a much harsher view on people who've committed fraud over someone who's been on a naughty buy/girl course!

No, binned it. To be fair it was nearly 4 years old and had started cracking a bit, so probably didn't have long left... I just like to be master of when I change and replace things. Jan is a bad month normally as tax and insurance were both due.

Yet another 911 I want but can't afford... What's the betting that these, like every other limited production run 911, are all bought by collectors and rarely see the light of day.
