  1. It's a bit feminine (Fairlady?!) but also an historic name for the brand.
  2. Quite a common service item, mine used to chomp through them every 18 months...
  3. ARGH! Literally no more than a week after shelling out £415 for a new set from Torqen (which I haven't even fitted yet) comes a pair of HFCs with hardly any mileage on them. Very annoying...
  4. Huh? The 350z wheel is nicer than the 370z (Nismo or otherwise). It has a thinner rim, made from leather rather than leather / alcantara blend (which just doesn't work). It has more easily accessible switches and a nicer finish around the spokes where the 370 has rough plastic edges to the rear. Bizarre...
  5. Lynx how are you getting on with the Stillen intake? Is it the long or short tube version? Worth £400 or is it too marginal to justify?
  6. I took it to a local garage on saturday morning but couldn't get the car INTO it because gap from the road to the entrance was too V shaped for the Nismo's splitter to accommodate! How retarded is that? Didn't have any planks of 2x4 to help it along... I'll email Scott to see if you have any ramp time this thursday (or saturday) to so the job, thanks for offering. Just hope the newbie has had enough training on VQs before, don't want him learning on my car ;-) Cheers.
  7. Nice motor, midnight blue HR is all the car you could ever want in stock form let alone with the stillen charger, must have cost an absolute fortune, nice work!
  8. I'd go for aftermarket rotors only because the hub section won't suffer unsightly rust like the oem jobbies. Beyond that, your investment in the very best tyres is more important than a brake caliper or pad upgrade. Also bear in mind that if you're not tracking you might actually be better off with oem brembo pads as they have better initial bite than the ds2500.
  9. The video shows it not all plain sailing and some bolts are best accessed through the engine bay with a very long....umm....tool. Kaiser appears to have increased his prices rather a lot in that case....
  10. He's booked this weekend and £72+VAT p/h for 2.5 hours is a lot of cash. I know he's highly regarded but this is a very simple job, not a GTR engine transplant...
  11. Four months since the nipples were twisted...
  12. Anyone with a ramp and the tools want to do this with me? Simple job but I have neither... £100 cash? Located in SW London.
  13. Kaizer ~ 2.5 hours Abbey ~ 2 hours Any other bids? Want to get them bolted on on saturday morning! Horsham appears to be closed...
  14. Seems like an honest appraisal and thanks for the comparison, very interesting. Viable route if you need four seats and cant afford to run a GTR.
  15. Always surprised about how time consuming and expensive detailing can be. I think just regular careful washing is the best approach then do the full heavy wax pornstar job once a year, ideally before winter.
  16. To be fair I don't think there's a giant appetite for these as a specialist component, so it's hardly surprising that they're not always in stock given US manufacture. Cobra sell their own version if you think the £200+ premium is worth it... EDIT: Look forward to receiving mine soon Adrian!
  17. Given that the Berk high flow cats are £270 cheaper(!) than the Cobra equivalents I'm more inclined to give them a try over the latter, however I recall people saying there were potential length/fitment issues with the Berks and aftermarket exhausts on the 370Z? Does anybody have any definitive experience (Sipar?) on this topic and be wililng to provide guidance. Can't find anything on the US forums sadly (probably in light of Cobra being a UK manufacturer). Many thanks in advance. DT
  18. Best oil, best tyres and a geometry check.
  19. Looking specifically for HFC not decats, the latter being too loud and the potential to fall foul of an officious MOT inspektor. Thinking Berk HFC might be a cheaper solution but people have mentioned fitment issues with the Cobra exhaust on the forum and I do not want any more expensive headaches after fitment.
  20. As per the title, please let me know if you're willing to offload a used pair of the above. The current RRP on these is frankly, ridiculous
  21. Why are you putting the old boxes back on? Would love a better induction sound but everyone seems to say that they make a marginal difference at best... p.s. Might also be interested in your Frodo Baggins racing pads.
  22. are these brand spanking "never been used" new, or lightly used, or knockhill thrashed?!
  23. OK thanks for that chaps. I have run Berk HFC will miltek exhaust on my 350 and actually loved the rasp, particularly how is sounded at 3500 rpm under WOT. Think I might give the Cobra HFCs a try and if I can't get on with them, swapem back for the stock cats if it gets too droney/deafening in the cabin. Ta.
