  1. Going to be a great turnout again. Im pretty sure every year we must have the largest single model stand at Japfest (ok, maybe 2 models!). Lets hope for some nice sunshine, just maybe not quite as hot as last year!
  2. I have used the Torqen seal kit, not Alex's replacement covers, but the bulk of the process is the same. Remove strut bar Undo the upper plenum and all its hoses/wires, remove it. Undo any hoses/wires that get in the way of the bolts around the rocker covers, remove and replace. Its not that easy as on the drivers side you have to remove a lot more stuff like the connector to the fuel rail, but its just bolts and wiring connectors. I personally put a bit of tape around every bolt/nut/connector/hose I had to remove and wrote on it so I knew where to put it back. Just take your time in disassembly, mark everything properly, and you'll have no issues doing it yourself. Even doing the torqen kit where you have to cut the rocker covers up to replace the seals was probably 2 hrs, With a few tea breaks and if youre nervous, the whole job would take somewhere like alex said, id say min 2 to around 4 hrs for a average DIY'er, a garage should be charging no more then 2 hrs labour IMO.
  3. All marked as paid, just waiting on one. All the modules are all made and tested, so everyone that's paid, il be posting tomorrow! EDIT: Everyone on the first 5 spots has paid so these will be in the post to you tomorrow.
  4. Morning all First 5 PM's have been sent now the PCB's are in stock. Waiting for one extra connector for the remaining 5 modules, but hoping that will arrive by tomorrow. First 5 guys, you have a PM in your Inbox, everyone after this, hopefully I should be able to PM you soon, depending on the post,

  6. Yeah should be. Basically, you have to be in the dates/on the stand by 8AM if youre coming onto the club stand. General public entry is 10AM. Just follow the signs for Silverstone and then when youre about 2 miles out, join the queue of other Jap cars attending the event. When they issue the club pass's (to your email) it will tell you what stand we will be on, along with a map, the marshals will point you in the right direction
  7. If anyone is interested in these, i found one more left when i was tidying up yesterday. Of course, if theirs an appetite for a GB, happy to run another one at the same prices as before. Unless martin wants to take over again of course.

  9. 1 Robphobos (350z) 2 Stormwhite (370z) 3 Harrison140 (350z) 4 BazzardBMX (350z) 5 Flashback (350z) 6 PabloVC (350z) Thanks guys Added you to the list Pablo. Still waiting on PCB's but they will be here soon im sure! Will update you all when they arrive. Shouldn't take me long to build once they do. Everything is ready to go and programmed, just waiting on those.
  10. @Bazzardbmx @Flashback Added you both to the list 1 Robphobos 2 Stormwhite (370z) 3 Harrison140 4 BazzardBMX 5 Flashback (350z) Guys already on the list, can you let me know which vehicle you have (350/370) as it changes the wiring lengths that I have to build with, (370 needs a bit more wire length) and also the installation guide I send you Thanks to everyone who's down for these so far. Im just waiting on PCB's, then it will take me a day or two to build them I have all the parts needed for 5 to be built immediately. Once those first 5 have been paid for and sent, il order the couple of components I need for the other 5. The limiting factors is the PCB's and the buttons. Those two parts come from China and have 2-3 week lead times, all other electronic components are ordered from RS Components in the UK and obviously built by me so that's pretty short (1-2 days) lead time. That's all 5 "Immediate Build" slots filled now. But as mentioned, theirs space on this production run for another 5 . Im ALWAYS open to making more of these, I actually enjoy it, so even if those 5 extra slots get filled, don't worry, I can make more!
  11. Hi guys, Im trying to get hold of some anodised bolts but having a really hard time finding any, im after them in red, pan head if possible and in M5 size at both 16mm and either 25 or 30mm long. The only stockist ive found is ProBolt, but their website doesn't seem to work, it just sits on the "Submitting order info" page for ever, tried it in multiple browsers, on my phone etc etc Any ideas where I can get them from??
  12. Get back in your Shed and sort out that PopZ! haha
  13. 1 Robphobos 2 Stormwhite (370z) 3 Harrison140 no worries. In the 350's i suggest mounting it underneath the ashtray, it leave 0% chance of accidentally activating it, and all you have to do is pull the ashtray out and its available for us. I believe on the 370, keyser has mounted his inside the centre armrest cubby for the same reason. Let me know/add yourself if you want one Heard from the PCB manufacturers, they were shipped yesterday, all the other bits apart from the LED buttons (they always take an age) are already with me. Arduino's have been programmed and soldered too. As with standard shipping times from China, id expect this lot to all turn up in around 1-2 weeks. This will be a special edition run with Red PCB's
  14. Want me to put you on the list mate? Hey, The photo in the first post of this topic is of the actual module (without the heatshrink I install to protect everything). Photos of the actual unit fitted would be kinda boring lol, its just a PCB, the only visible part of the LED button which you can mount wherever you want. Ive attached a photo of the unit placed in its location on the 370z, but again, all this gets covered up when you put the plastics back together, all you see is the button to activate/deactivate the system.
  15. @StormWhite If you did want to replace the included switch, you need a momentary switch. The list so far then would be; 1 Robphobos 2 Stormwhite (370z)
  16. @RobPhoboS @harrison140 - Ive ordered the remaining parts needed to make some more boards since I already had about half the items left and my PCB manufacturer is running a special offer at the moment, these will be special edition boards in red! haha. Il contact you both closer to when items arrive (many components come from China) to see if youre still interested and to take deposits if required. Everyone else, il be building 5 more of these boards right now, (once the bits arrive) with capacity to build another 5 with a few more components to be ordered. Stick your name below if youre interested.
  17. Hi mate, Sorry, these are 350 only. I dont think anyone has done anything similar in a 370
  18. Anyone travelling from London/South East, ive set up an interest thread for the usual South Mimms meeting/convoy start place. @Paul K, @Nismoandy us three are the only people who met last year thats on the attending list this year, fancy meeting again? Anyone else who wants to meet, go put your name down
  19. Hi all, For the this year running, im trying to organise whats usually a small-ish convoy of vehicles from London and the south east generally to travel to Japfest together, this really helped me during my first show as i was nervous about where to go and the exact steps to get in. Both years so far we have had around 8 vehicles from the Kent and Essex area meet at South Mimms services and we travelled up to Japfest together. As a first timer last year this was amazingly helpful so I wanted to take the lead and organise it again. So, the meeting place is the South Mimms Services on the M25/A1(m) Junction. Bignells Corner, Potters Bar, Herts, EN6 3QQ The meeting place is the car park of the BP petrol station on site (NOT the main South Mimms parking area) as it means any lowered vehicles don’t have to contend with the main car parks speed bumps, so let’s meet there again. Feel free to arrive at any time you want as long as its before 6:40am. Any vehicles meeting at this location will be leaving at 6:40 am due to the early entry requirement for Club Stand cars into Japfest. (we need to be in before 8AM) If you’re late then you’ll have to catch up. Any questions please ask , but il start the list! (Added my registration so you guys can find me as there’s usually a lot of cars meet at south mims) 1. Cs2000 (OO04 MYZ)
  20. @RobPhoboS @harrison140 - Ive dug through my box of bits and have most of the parts needed to build another 2 or 3 as things stand, apart from the PCB's. Il be building some more, but not sure how many or when they will be ready. Keep an eye here if youre still interested.
  21. Got one last one in stock since my buyer let me down, so PM incoming. so, as I said before, I could build more in the future, but would need interest before I commit the time and resources to doing that.
  22. Yeah it’s pretty obvious once you get the car up in the air, keyser marked the prop shaft position and bolts so it went back in the same place with the same bolts, not sure if that’s important.
  23. Having recently done this (i say I... @Keyser and Mrs Keyser did most of the work) its an all day job, even with all the tools in the world at your disposal and a lift. Definitely DIY-able, but if youre on the ground with a trolly jack and axle stands, its a difficult one. a surprising (to me) amount of stuff has to come off
  24. Well, pending a final sale today (after i check that i have the last one in stock), these are all gone. Thats a grand total of 8 modules sold, one in my car and one given to Keyser for 370z testing and 0 reported install or usage issues Im not immediately making anymore, it means ordering blank PCB's and components for another 10 at a time (minimum order quantities) and although i love my little board, it needs to sell. If there is interest, i will order/build some more, maybe there will be with it being spring/summer soon, track days coming up etc
