  1. @cob_1980 - I think it is possible. Ive spent the last 3 days trying to figure it out. Got some components on order so im working on it. It wont be a quick thing to sort out, but looking at getting some proper PCB's made and what not. In theory what I have designed in Eagle should work just fine.
  2. Hi guys, just for anyone thinking of buying one of these kits, just do it! i bought one originally when Adrian sourced them, probably 2-3 years ago now, I did the passenger side in 4 hours or so but I chickened out on the drivers side due to all the extra gubbins in that area. this last few weeks I’ve seen a large increase in my oil consumption so decided to give the drivers side another bash. it took me 4 hours to disassemble last night and drill out/fit the new seals, along with another 2.5 hours this morning rebuilding. You just had to be VERY careful on the drivers side as the fuel regulator and the main connection to the fuel rail is here. You need to depressurise the fuel rail, best way I found was to start the car and then pull the fuel pump relay so the car eventually stalls. Then when you’re undoing the fuel rail connection bolts just out a small plastic tub underneath. I lost about 30ml of fuel im still waiting for the gasket to dry up so I haven’t started the car yet, but I checked the soil packs on the passenger side that I did years ago and was very happy when I saw they were all dry, so the kit definitely works! one tip, when you’re removing bolts for things, wrap them all in some masking tape and write in the tape what they do as you’ll have about 50 bolts just for the drivers side! Take plenty of photos of your disassembly and you can see where everything goes. Also worth using the same masking tape to wrap around any pipes or electrical connectors that you disconnect so you have a very obvious visual indicator of what you have disconnected/needs reconnecting. all in all, with a moderate level of DIY skills, you could complete both sides in probably 7 hours as the longest steps are getting the plenum sections off of the car. well worth the price of the kit and has stood the test of time in my Z. Now I just need to get a new PCV !
  3. Just echoing Andy’s comments. Well done to all for a amazing showing of the Z and a well behaved day by all club members. thanks to Bob and Chris for organising the stand so we all had room to move and keeping us all in line. i love these shows, on a real downer now as it’s too long till next years!
  4. I did a massive clean a few weeks ago, like 3 stage DA, clay, multiple washes etc, be wont be too bad for me. Still gotta get the wheels off, touch up he calliper paint, clean wheels inside and out however and of course a proper good wash
  5. Right guys, all of the full DIY kits are now sold. I do still have the drive swap kit available and ready to go. I'm happy to custom-make these on a request basis, but it doesn't make sense cashflow wise to buy in another batch as they're rather hard to sell, I think the level of DIY involved scares most people off sadly. Contact me if you want one in the future and il build them up for each order.
  6. Correct mate, we will be departing at 6:40, so yeah meet there sometime around 6-6:30 See you guys there. Cleaning day tomorrow!
  7. @Redsky This will pretty much be the route mate We wont be able to stop anywhere as timings are pretty tight, is it much out of your way to come to South mimms? If it is, just try to catch us on the way. If its your first Japfest like mine last year) traveling on Convoy is really cool and helped me with the whole "where the hell do I go when I'm at the circuit" https://www.google.com/maps/dir/South+Mimms,+Potters+Bar/Silverstone+Circuit,+Towcester+NN12+8TN/@51.7235372,-0.5627523,10z/data=!4m13!4m12!1m5!1m1!1s0x48763d7091ac7c11:0x8fc4e3ebb6fc8395!2m2!1d-0.2323459!2d51.6947987!1m5!1m1!1s0x48771c5823926c25:0x1142afb591c324a6!2m2!1d-1.0146634!2d52.0733006
  8. South east/London area convoy, meeting at South Mimms Question about track time. DO you have to be wearing long sleaves? it looks to be a hot day, didn't plan on wearing a jumper... I wont be wearing shorts or sandals of course, but surely a t-shirt is OK?
  9. Of course it is mate! Just stick your reg number in and be ready to leave the BP petrol station by 6:40 Il try to be there for 6:20 I think. 1. Cs2000 (OO04MYZ) 2. Paul K (K50PTK 3. Nismoandy (WP06FNX ) 4. kayjay0_7
  10. No worries at all. We will both be at the front of the stand as we have track time booked, so just come find me. Reg is OO04 MYZ My session is way later than yours, so will be fine. Will be in the circuit early cleaning and pruning the car anyway
  11. If that’s all there is it’s still fine by me. Will have my mate tagging along in his focus ST too. Their Z is broken so won’t be bringing it, but they’re still gonna come up in the ST for a jap filled day! Just hope they can walk through the gates and get early access still otherwise they’ll be sitting in the car for 3 hours waiting for the public gates lol
  12. If I still have my counterpart is that ok to take, or do you need the printout from the DVLA site? When end they say printout, do that literally mean print the page that you’re shown? last question, I have some mates who have a 350, they bought tickets using our club password but won’t now be able to bring the car (project car that as usual is delayed). Can they come up in another car at the same time as me, they park in the public car park but still get early entry, or am I going to have. to get them into the Z’s boot to get them in lol. They do have valid tickets, just club entry ones but they won’t now be bringing their Japanese car so will be parking in the public car park @omegacloud il have my helmet if you wanna borrow. @chreewebb can’t get on the club stand mate no, the car passes this year have your reg number on them, so aren’t transferable sadly.
  13. Yes my mistake sorry! Hopefully we do get a tarmac one this year, the grass wasn’t too bad last year, but a nice tarmac one would be nicer
  14. Yeah not sure what’s going on. I have my original order email, shows I ordered track time and also I have the email from yesterday with the stand/entry tickets, but never got the follow up email which should be track tickets @StevoD I don’t think it’s the same. Last year the club was on T14 if I remember along with another club. This year we have more cars so can’t be in less than half the space, but I guess we will see!
  15. Anyone else got their track tickets yet? Still not got mine...
  16. All mine printed OK, just waiting for the track time tickets which the PDF says will be sent separately.
  17. See you there guys, maybe get some other late attenders like last year haha!
  18. glad Buster and Keyzer will be at the front again like they were last year, they did a tremendous job of parking everyone sensibly! @valy we all have track time booked at different times during the day, so won’t be a huge hole, possibly 2-3 cars gone at one time and it’s easier that way
  19. Module sold to Lycan with the last remaining power connection cable. Left in stock is the following: 2 Full DIY modules 1 Drive Swap modules These will be taken to Japfest, so come find me there if you want to buy one on the spot, or can buy now and collect there
  20. Paul beat me to posting the link, but yeah anyone from the south eash/London that's going to be going up past South Mimms services, a few of us met there last year
  21. Il be at south mimms, departing there by 6:30, we had a small meet of 8 cars there last year, there is a topic for it somewhere around here
  22. Hope e do get a tarmac stand this year, our grass one last year wasn't too bad, and the location was good, near to food, the track and the toilets (ish), but tarmac makes it easier to move around on We won best club last year, so we should have some kinda special area with velvet rope and all , but id settle for a tarmac stand lol
  23. No takers on this pre-meet up this time around? only a month away !
