why on earth would he accept almost £2k less than what he is asking? If it is clean and doesn't immediatley need tyres, brake work or a major service I would go in at £13450 but as I am not in a position to do so its neither here nor there really I couldn't justify anything more than that so it was a cheeky offer! For 13.5k that's nearly 370 territory so would be silly in my books. Looks like the good old DE will do for now

ouch, thats a lot of money and cockpit time. Still, I assume that ATC pays very well and keeps him in the loop, so to speak? must still be frustrating for him... Yeah thats the problem, now he has a career with NATS it pays quite well and I imagine it would be a drop to get into the pilot game. But yes as you say they are a close nit circle so if he can find the right company it might be worth the drop in the long run.

Or get some wheels that fit....spacers ruin the feel bud! You want to aim for anything between ET10-20 with spacers/wheels.

Had a friend spend 60k learning to become a pilot, he has 250+ hours and hasn't had any luck so far. He became an air traffic controller for the time being.

Basically the way I look at them is that they are only useful if you are pulled over by the cops.They don't seem to pass MOT's very well and you need to find a 'friendly' place....so if your doing that you might as well get decats.

TBH if you have had it resprayed recently they didn't do a very good job. They should have removed all the rust, treated the area then filled/resprayed. If I was you I would go back to the place you paid last year and complain!
