I was afraid this may be the case... :-(
Thing is i have the birdview sat nav and i also have the bluetooth and i don't want to loose the audio side of all that and also the steering wheel controls.
I know there are adapters for the steering wheel side of things but am i able to get the blue tooth and sat nav audio to work as it does now with a new head unit?
I had birdview and bluetooth in my old 50 with a double din unit.
The bluetooth won't work but the new system will more than likely come with bluetooth anyway. Audio/steering wheel controls still work too....just need an ISO cable
I am getting this done next week. If you have the NAV then its pretty hard as its all linked in.
I either wanted connect premium or none Nav model so I could add my own in.
I saved a good 2K over a 2010 model so using half of that for a decent double DIN
Its definitely wider (barely fits in my garage), its softer, quieter and more refined.
Has a similar power delivery to the 50 but pulls harder for longer. Still doesn't 'feel' quick until you look at the speedo
You can usually see if the compression arm has failed as the rubber pokes out or the arm itself drops down.
Significantly cheaper to get the bush replaced but make sure its not the ball joint first

It does say 200 cell! Mental if they are that cheap and actually work.
Good luck
I averaged 30mpg back from wales with cruise set at 80mph on Friday night.
Been driving around in a Fabia 1.2 for the last week and that thing is pretty dam good on fuel. 740 miles cost me 80 quid.
Was happily going to fit a double din sat nav unit into the new 70 but after reading up on some guides from the US I am finding it hard to source the right parts.
From what I have read so far I need the wiring loom and steering wheel controls. Anyone know of UK suppliers for these?
Any other advice would be greatly appreciated! I did the 50 so hoping it will be similar.
Need to change your photo as well mate
Package in the post.....No worries about money, you'll pay me in advice no doubt
Don't worry will get that done once it's been cleaned. Thanks! Much appreciated
I have not taking my car so don't know the track limitations, I will download a DB tester and get a reading for you this weekend
Its usually about 98db @ 4k rpm for a track. I can't imagine this being more than that with just the BB removed but you never know!
Cheers for your help
