  1. This! I have 2K in the bank at all times. Luckily in my realm of work I could get a temp/contract job pretty easily. My motto in life is spend no more than 1/3 of your annual wage on a car, this keeps both my car life and home life happy.
  2. I changed from a modded DE to a 70. I was adamant I didn't want the 70 but after testing driving everything in the 15-18k bracket I couldn't find anything that was better for me than the 70. . It's not worthy the 2x price jump but then again nothing else is. One thing I will say is that the 70 needs some money/time spent on it to be special. So if you haven't got the time then it might not be the best car to buy..
  3. Look forward to seeing you in Le Mans this year! I took mine last year but don't think it's coming on this year's trip
  4. Parked on the end of a row, good man
  5. Is that Castle Combe? Dam those Nismo's look good.
  6. Official website says this is what you get extra on a GT model. http://m.nissan.co.uk/specification?EltToShow=103630&modelType=passenger&modelCode=103207&md2psid=1-142801214088379168
  7. Yeah there is loads of room. Think about the cars that get on during Le Mans weekend.
  8. Its a 13 plate so the old Nismo model. So they are selling it off I imagine.
  9. Nice! I hear Nissan don't sell many none Nismo 70's anymore so I imagine it will be quite rare on a 15 plate.
  10. Lol it does read like a swap but obviously that isn't going to happen
  11. Club entrance includes stand parking and the standard ticket purchased directly via Japfest means you can park in the public car park.
  12. Tein springs are a great mod on the 50. They keep the car usable as well which is always handy
  13. Sorry mate stands passes are only allocated with tickets. We have a reserve list so I will add you too it.
  14. Dont red stuff pads have some form of shim built into them? If the discs are old then that could be a reason for the screeching.
  15. When the car is low its a bit annoying Jacking it up. As you cant access the diff or engine jacking point. So you have to use the normal one but then you can't put the axle stand there as the jack is in the way. Nightmare! The hockey pucks are a great idea though
  16. Buying a new V8 M3 - So decided to sell up. Although the car won't go until the new M3 is here. Lol good reason
  17. Also spin potentially caused by white line paint?
  18. This is why Bedford is so great. Could have been quite costly on most circuits!
  19. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2-5-63mm-Universal-Performance-Exhaust-Gasket-3-Hole-/121570470489?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item1c4e2a2a59 Tarcmac has these!
  20. Not really dude, no. Last week was a pretty cool day, not once did I have to come in due to oil temps, tyres went off after about 7/8 laps, so it was that that was stopping me really. That said, I always tend to come in after about 10/15 minutes just to rest up. Larger tracks, like Spa or Bedford I tend to do 3/4 laps and come in for a bit. It's all about managing the oil temperature on the 370, keeping the revs low and not just shifting down for the sake of it. Notice how I don't get into 2nd at all at Brands, that keeps the temps down considerably. I used to take Druids and Hill in 2nd but keeping it in 3rd is not only quicker but it keeps the car more stable and cooler for longer. I could just fit an oil cooler but I'm not racing, or really looking to build a track car so I don't see the point. I can still press on, have fun and get what I want from it without. Besides, it would probably only mean I could stay out a little longer as the tyres would go off or my brakes would cook. Well, now that I have good intakes and exhaust I think I will. Throttle response picked up no end with the Stillens and an UpRev would do wonders across lots of areas, so yeah, I will eventually. I'm getting married next year though and have to pay for cakes, flowers and @*!# like that, so where I can still manage the odd track day here and there - mods will have to take a step back for a while. Appreciate the help here. I want to try and keep the car under 130 degrees whilst at Japfest this year. I will keep a note of the 2nd gear thing Congrats on the marriage!
  21. Is that main dealer price? Thought £500 would have been enough; thanks for the heads up. Thats through Clark motorsport buddy so slightly cheaper than the dealer direct. The discs on the 70 are huge so kind of justifies the price.
