  1. Well I couldn't actually find anything wrong in the end. Lubbed up the drop links just for the hell of it, still made the noise after though. Then one evening the mighty heavens opened and I have been creak free for over a week. So I am thinking potential dust build up somewhere as it hasn't rained for so long.....or something is on its way out but the rain magical healed it! That's what I am going with for now anyway Cheers for all the advice!
  2. This part worries me! You should be able to take corners as fast if not faster than a FWD car of similar chassis/spec....obviously this is not a rule of thumb that all RWD cars are quicker in the bends than FWD. In FWD the front tyres are applying the turn and momentum where are in RWD you are being pushed from behind and the front wheels are only doing the turning. Meaning traction is greater. Your problem could be down to many issues.....alignment, tyres wear, tyre pressure, the actual tyres themselves! Worn shocks etc etc...!
  3. If you want midrange tyres Kumho's or Falkens are fine. Especially with the smaller 19 inch sidewall, the Falkens don't suffer from the usual soft sidewall.
  4. Rays or not to Rays? I would say between 7-8k depending on condition. Convertible's do tend to be priced less than coupes so I might be slightly out. Rough guide
  5. What ET? ET20 on 9.5J F 10.5J R
  6. On a 9.5j and 10.5j? I thought the tire sizes you specified were for 9 & 10j? As sized said there is a slight stretch but nothing too noticeable. If you run anything wider the speedo will be out and I can't imagine anything bigger on the front wheels would do the handling any good! Ah sorry, I thought you were quoting OEM sizes for the wheels. Would the width put it out, I thought it was the Profile of the tire? Maybe I am just a noob. I will be running 235 35 on my 9js and 255 35 on my 10js very soon, once the hubs are machined! It's the overall rolling radius that puts it out. The closest to the 18" OEM size on 19's is 245/35 an 275/35, that's less than 0.5% out. If your talking about 19's using the tyres sizes above then the front axle will be 1.95% out and the rear axle 2.5% out. Nothing too major most companies say nothing more than +/- 2.5% out.
  7. You can see the slight stretch here:

  9. I imagine they are 19's so you want 245/35 on the front and 275/35 on the back. OEM size!
  10. Well that's the last time I try and help this forum out..... Post a bargain and all I get is ridiculed for it

    Alloys !!

Not for £450ish I don't think he is

    Alloys !!

Wheels don't have to be staggered aslong as the tyres are. To put into perspective your standard wheels are 8" wide all round with an offset of 30. Rays are 8" on the front ET30 and rears are 8.5" with ET33. The Rota Torque's above are 8.5" all round with an offset of 30. So the Rota's will sit 6mm further out each side of the wheel. Tyres will fit fine also
  15. I imagine its the price....nothing against Abbey as they are a decent business and all but it all comes down to £ in the end!

Thanks mate, dont want rays tbh but the Rota torque alloys are nice, take it they would require spacers as I have brembos. Nope would fit fine without spacers, would sit slightly better than your standard wheels as they are half an inch wider but wont give you a massive stance look without spacers.

ET30 8.5J, similair to standard spec but not the best offset! http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/18-Rota-Torque-Alloys-BARGAIN-/171089159455?pt=UK_CarParts_Acc_Wheels_tyres_Trims_Car_Rims_ET&hash=item27d5b5651f http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Rota-Gt-r-Alloys-18-5x114-3-8-5j-Et30-Evo-subaru-honda-nissan-/330981077792?pt=UK_CarParts_Acc_Wheels_tyres_Trims_Car_Rims_ET&hash=item4d10027320

At that price Rays would definitely be your best buy. Anything other would be quite heavy unfortunately. Saying that you 'might' get some 18" Rota's for that price on eBay.

    opinions on prices

Kumho's and Falkens with a smaller side wall are a decent mid range tyre for the Z. In there larger 18" side wall size then they are a bit soft. Splitting will not help the sale at all. Especially for the price point he is looking for. The last set sold on here for £950 and before that £1100 so its just a matter of time to find the right buyer
  20. They make some good vids, the F50 tug of war is the best so far i think
