Hey Harmlu funny enough thats where I have bought mine from. I'm sure if it was there before i would have heard it as i was driving with windows dwn. i only started hearing it in last cple of miles of the 40 odd mile drive i was on. i did pop into Normans and saw Tony who sold it to me as mechanics had gone hm.He thought was calipers but i wasnt sure so did some more research when got hm and i certain its this from all the info on it and you tube etc. Matt Before you start trying to fix the problem yourself, get them to have a look at it. Could save you a lot off ball ache in the long run! They are a very reputable dealer and I am sure they will have no problem helping you out with this!

I'm from bournemouth and got mine from Norman Motors. I'm pretty sure they would have fixed this, but then they use there own garage for warranty, not a third party. What garage did you get it from?

Yes, but reading further down. Pete Gotcha

get a sim only contract (12 months) and wait until a better iphone comes out. I've just done this with vodafone, and I will be quids in even if I bought a 5 from apple in those 6 months. I am rather biased to apple though as haven't had anything else

Please tell me this is an attempt at getting attention!? These cars aren't supposed to do good mpg, they are not there to be penny pinched at. If you can't afford to maintain it correctly, get something else as the majority of z owners do look after them! On another note by using a 95 Ron unleaded your mpg will decrease, so you're not actually saving any money but you are sending your z to an early grave. If you are still using standard unleaded after all the comments here (I must add that I highly doubt "90%" of z drivers use 95 Ron) then you are indeed a DONUT!

Good watch However, if you look at the bit when she talks about RON rating, 350z is designed for 98+. By putting a standard fuel in (eg asda), you could be subjecting the 350's engine to pre-detonation which = bad news in the long run! By starting this thread I was looking at people's opinions of the different brands of premium unleaded. Also taking in to account a lot of the premium unleaded is now 97 ron (such as Sainsbury's and BP Ultimate). Is this going to affect the engine's detonation? I think from now on I will fill up wih tesco 99 ron and now and again treat Bertha to a tank of V-Power to clean the fuel system.

Ok, so I haven't read this thread for a while now but seem to remember somebody saying that it's the chemicals that the supermarkets add to the fuel that makes them less quality to the premium brands... After speaking to a good friend of mine who has bee working at Exxon Mobil for over 20 years, he told me it was the opposite. It's chemicals such as injector cleaner that the premium brands add which increases the quality of the fuel and keeps your engine kicking! To conclude, my opinion is that (providing it is super unleaded) the supermarket fuels are fine, but it is definitely worth filling up now and again with the likes of bp/shell/esso

haha, I cruised once behind a lorry for a while and averaged about the same, magic 56mph! Probably cost more in stone chips though... Doh!

welcome! This thread might be of interest if you are going to see 'trade-link'... http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/68185-buying-a-350z-from-trade-link/#entry1016178 Must add I've never heard of the guys, and have no opinion on them.

can you pm me the reg.... My mate used to have one suspiciously similar to this. Had been repaired but not marked as cat c/d. Lots of orange peel, panels didn't line up etc. He was very quick to part ex it. Even if it's not the same car, if it doesn't feel right, walk away. There are plenty of nice examples out there. With your budget it will probably be worth looking at jdm imports

Good job! You could always do a build thread when you fit the coilovers -
Best advice I can give is take your time, have a look at many examples out there. It's a buyer's market at the moment!

did you drop it or is that just the effect of the spacers? Loving the oem feel to it edit: That was referring to a previous picture obviously -

perfect, thanks for the replies Is it advisable to replace the slave cylinder as well as the release bearing?

Top job

Evening people, Soon I will be getting a garage to replace my flywheel and clutch. I am not sure, but is the clutch slave cylinder the same part as the release bearing. Just trying to get my head around it!? It is a uk 2004 model.

Also was it an auto you wanted?

Welcome! First of all if buying from dealer you should get some sort of warranty. Look for the obvious, don't take anything less than a full service history. Common faults: 1) whining diff 2) synchro mesh on gear box (gear box is naturally quite clunky though) 3) clutches last about 40k (I think) 4) boot rear struts don't hold boot up I am sure there are more but overall if its been looked after well, it is a very solid car. In my opinion go for a uk spec with gt pack. Mostly though, take your time and wait for that peach :-)

Ok job done and great result! Key cut well first time (pm me if you're in Bournemouth/Christchurch area if you want details), so no issues there and guy was really friendly and wasn't reluctant to cut it. Obviously he said he can't guarantee it given an ebay item. As for weight, I found that it was ok as was plus I have a gorgeous key ring for it which adds a little weight! Ok, so all in all it took about 45 minutes of fiddling about (with the key that is) but did have a problem with the unlock button sticking. You will see in the photos that I had to use super glue to kind of add to the platform for the circuit board. I just cut a couple off bits off the button surround (as this doesn't fit properly, and thought originally that this could be the problem) and stuck this the the platform that is already there. Note the circuit board needs to rest on top of this. Transponder is easily glued in to place (similar location to the oem key). You don't need to use much here as it wedges quite nicely itself. Major fiddly bit is the spring. Simply ensure it is located correctly in the button, fit the back side on and rotate the back side in the direction that the key needs to go (anti-clockwise) as you look from the back of the key. I used the oem buttons as the new ones look like the decals will wear off pretty quickly. Burger stuck on and it's a massive improvement to the oem key, finally a half descent looking flip key for the zed Noob question but how do you add pics to a post? I tried copy/paste but it "doesn't allow that extension in this community"
