Back in 2007 I ordered a very shiney new silver car from my local Nissan dealer in Bournemouth. Loved it as it was for almost 3 years and then I joined this bloody Zeditus ridden forum. I was corrupted beyond all hope and spent my pension pot turning her into the monster I now own.....

Andy James 2015 sprint/hill climb/track day season
andy james replied to andy james's topic in Motorsport & Track Days
Looks like my entry at Shelsley in May has been accepted as money deducted from my bank. Really looking forward to this one as it's very narrow, twisty and steep so not best suited for a Zed but I love a challenge and after walking up the Hill with Mark you can almost taste the 100 plus years of history about the place. Praying for a dry day or it could be a bum twitcher!! Lol -
Is that through Castle Combe then Andy or some other organiser? How much is it for an afternoon session if you don't mind sharing? Cheers It's through Trackdays and it's £119. Will be doing these once a month throughout the summer. Prefer the half days as you don't have to be there at the crack of dawn only for you and the car to be knackered by lunchtime! Lol 1.Arrive around 11ish,park up empty the boot and have a gander at what's going on in the paddock and what's blasting on track. 2. Sign on at 12.30 at get on the circuit at 1.30 till around 5 which to be quite honest is plenty of time to do 5/6 20 min sessions with breaks in between. 3.Go home without feeling like you have done 10 rounds with Mike Tyson, cars still got tread on tyres and one tank of fuel just might last the day! 4. Do it next month as it's such bloody good fun!!

You are buddy, now remind me what's that bloody silver button for? ...... -
Some lucky member just got a bargain! They might not be big enough for some but boy are they light and if you want to go fast on track there is not a lot to beat them.

andy james replied to Darren-B's topic in Other Cars
Cheers Andy, Me also, theres a lot of hard work to do yet but I think I might be just over the halfway mark with the project now Trouble is with all the work that has gone into it, I already don't want to use the car as I normally would a zed Don't beat yourself up mate! After all that time and effort you have put in I wouldn't take her out unless it's a dry day/special occasion, and I haven't sanded my car down to the bare metal! -

Sad day. When I was I kid in the early 70s Friday night re runs of the original Star Trek blew me away, everything was so hi tech! Watch it now and apart from the transporter Room Gene Roddenberry was spot on with his predictions of future technology. Motorola K razor mobile fones spring to mind!! Lol

It's so easy to get confused when you have a car which can be silver one day and blue the next! Lol. -

I went through the same thought process as you 3 years ago. 1.Still loving my car but wanted more power. 2.Bought the car new it's now 4 years old but still seems new,but offered crap money part x. 3.Looking around at what other cars are available used for my new budget, but they are maybe older, have more miles, unknown history, wrong colour/spec etc. 4. Going to loose a lot of money on the mods. I came to the conclusion that my choice was either to modify my Zed to a very high standard and enjoy the journey over a few years and end up with a very rare and distinctive car or buy an early GTR,leave it alone and hope that nothing goes wrong! Even now with hindsight on my side the choice is just as hard, but if money is no object the GTR wins hands down because of tuning potential of that car the world is your oyster. The only thing I have to say is that people expect to be blown away by a GTR or any other mainstream big power car but there is nothing more satisfying than making a very expensive car go small in your rear view mirror or blasting past them on track with something that by rights should not be going anywhere near that quick Is one hell of a buzz!! Unless you buy a bomb proof classic cars will always lose money so go with your heart. I know it's not a 370 but if you want to have a blast in my car drop me a pm. Good luck
