What a result my friend! So glad it didn't play up on your first session and ruined a cracking day. Looking forward to the next blast.

fi guys what exhausts are you running and why
andy james replied to nissanman312's topic in Forced Induction
I have done the rounds on exhaust systems over the past couple of years and after a lot of failed sound tests, back pressure problems, poor build quality and power loss I have got the best combination that suits my car. De cats and a full Miltek system including Y pipe. On full boost yesterday at Castle Combe it was the system for the more mature Zedder!! Lol -

What a good afternoon chaps! I have to concede that after wringing every last ounce out of my old Datsun (touching 140 up to Quarry) I just couldn't keep up with Chris on the twisties! That Radical handles and has a level of grip I can only dream of! It was a good test for the pilot ss tyres as was unsure what level of grip they would give me compared to my 888rs on the Rays. Very dissapointed with them to start but they just got better and better as the afternoon when on. jetpilot ( impressed with your driving mate!)made a valid comment that as they are so new they needed a few heat cycles to bed them in. Nice to see Kim driving the Radical today and seeing Harryjax hustling the big Peugeot round the track! Also you never know who you might meet at a trackday. This rather well spoken chap in his mid 60s came up to me before my last run and commented on how nice my car sounded and said" you drive the socks off that thing ". He was giving lessons in a new jaguar F-type R convertible for a well healed couple that had hired him for the day! After a ten minute chat in which he told me how he competed at Le Mans and drives a D type for JCB ( bamford) he told me his name was Wiilie Green. GT 40,Ferrari,chevron,ginetta,Porsche,Aston Martin are a few cars he has raced! -

Going to try the 19" wheels with the pilot super sports on track to see what level of grip they offer compared to the 888r's prior to Japfest next Saturday. -

Chris and Kim (Kyser,Radical)and I will be at Castle Coombe this coming Monday for an afternoon trackday. Should be interesting and hopefully the weather will be kind to the roofless one! Lol. I have read that a large part of the track has been re surfaced so maybe it's not quite so bumpy at high speed. Recon some high speed video footage could be in order! -

Darren-B's 1971 240z Project Pumpkin Major UPDATE P48

Well with my balls up on the line, learning about all this blocking malarky & the want to have it my way I've done about 15litres of high build primmer most of which has been swept up or clogged my filters nearly 10litres of etch primmer, about 2litres of gloss black, a little bit of silver & about 1.2litres of red/orange so far. Don't ask me how much its all cost as I'm not going to add it up, especially with all the consumables used, Pizza boxes & beer cans everywhere Yep I'm shocked!! Shame Nissan didn't use a quarter of that when they were made.Maybe a few more of these cracking cars might still be around outside Japan and South America. Really looking forward to seeing her finished this summer Darren. -

A big thank you to all of you for coming along today and I'm so glad the weather held long enough for me to have one good aggressive run! Thanks for all the kind comments as this discipline is a lot harder than it looks as there is very little time to think and as you can see a very narrow window for error! Nice Vid Ian! Just uploading the in car one to give you a view of the complete run. Sorry about my animation at the end but as you can imagine there is a lot of nerves, aggression, fear, relief all rolled into one when you cross he Finnish line. Hope I can post it a bit later. -

Much more balanced. The fronts were a great improvement over the Brembos but I always felt the car was on tiptoes if that makes any sense! Now under hard braking the car squats down which feels better entering and exiting a corner. All this is great but if it chucks it down tomorrow big brakes won't help me!!! Lol -

Practice day today and we get three runs. As I've never driven this hill before I used the first as a reccy and pushed harder on the second run. Glad I did because it pi**ed down after lunch so my final run was a scary fish tail slither to the top of the hill! Got video footage of the dry run so if the weather forcast is true that's the best time I will get this event!! Will post up along with the Clay pigeon event next week. One of the single seaters got it horribly wrong on the first sharp left hander and flipped/rolled over losing two wheels in the process! Here are a few pics to give you guys an idea of what our oldest motorsport venue is all about. -
These are now sold and payment has been received. Thanks for all your interest.
-
Had a lot of PMs saying you want these so all I need is someone to commit with a payment in some form. Regards Andy
-
Sold them on EBay Steve.
-
Thanks for all your input guys but I would like these to go to a good home on a forum Zed possibly with JDM brakes or to someone with worn discs and tired looking calipers. Not looking to get top dollar as want a quick sale and give someone a bit of a bargain too! Andy
-
These are my 07 Brembos and discs taken off my 30k HR due to the fitting of my ART upgrade. The calipers are in mint condition and the powerslot discs (purchased from Clark Motorsport),EBC blue stuff pads,HEL brake lines have only been on the car for 5k. Looking for £250 plus postage.

Glad you cleared that up for us Bob.Thought for a moment some chav was siphoning your tank! Lol
