  1. Couple of hundred pounds!!! You having a larf Andy hehe! I think you've missed a couple of noughts off somewhere!!! I'm glad its progressing well, and look forward to its resurrection spring 2016 Thanks mate! Not sure what you mean but I did tell the Mrs that the rebuild could be as much as £1000 as I had to wait ages for a silly plastic front bumper which Tarmac ordered from America! Lol.....
  2. Bought her new in 2007. Caught Zeditus and after a couple of hundred pounds and she looked like this! Unfortunately after a nasty roll in the bushes she looked like this a few months ago... Rebuild well under way with an even better look/performance ready in the spring.
  3. How PC can you get! Del Boys new three wheeler with Uncle Alberts Zimmer stuffed in the front window gets centre stage over the sleek black menacing sports car in the back ground!
  4. Since the session Bob and I had I've been busy sorting out the forced induction piping and the various oil coolers so I could fire up the engine to check for any leaks. The biggest problem I've faced is trying to work out where a lot of the bespoke GTM parts go as when she crashed the ancillary parts were all hanging down in a right mess! Thanks to OllyB for sending me some pics of his GTM install to show the position of the oil cooler. Fired up the engine yesterday for the first time and the oil pressure zoomed to 120 which I've never seen before so shut her down. Lots of reading on forums and talk of don't worry high pressure is good, catastrophic engine failure eminent.eeek I've been extremely careful to photograph the position of all the oil piping so I'm now doubting my plumbing skills as my £8,000 engine is at stake! Buster popped over and said"you done good dude, fire it up and let the oil pump do its stuff!" Started her up,oil went up 120+ with choke on and slowly after 2/3mins she dropped down to 60 psi. No air leaks in the forced induction system so all the the Silver Pheonix needs now is some new clothes! More to come.

  6. Ouch! Sorry to see this Steve. That's the reason I've decided when my car is finnished it's never coming out of the garage! Lol.
  7. Thanks for your kind words Chris. I did feel a tinge of sadness pulling out of the drive for the last time Friday evening but I'm so pleased we have got the job done considering the legal delays and then the bad weather of late. It has been a pleasure working for you both. Great progress this weekend and I hope Kim's head isn't too bad. Looking forward to sitting back and watching the interior fixtures being installed. Flashing Blade signing out! Lol
  8. Such sad news. Our thoughts are with Martins loved ones.
  9. Wow! My 1976 Ford Capri 1.3 in white with the very trendy black leatherette roof cost me the princely sum of £650! Bet that Citroen would probably buy you a house if you still had it now!
  10. I agree Olly. If it was round I recon a few speed humps would make it that shape anyway! Lol
  11. Thanks. Been trying to grab a few hours at the weekend so progress has been fairly slow until all the parts arrived.
  12. Not a lot of progress over the last couple of weeks due to some key parts being delayed which this week finally arrived so the engine bay could be put back together. I know it looks still looks scruffy but the skill involved in repairing the lower intake pipe considering its condition before is very good. Bob kindly agreed to pop over this afternoon to lend a hand in exchange for a pending slabbing job in his and Netti's front garden so a skill swap was in order! First job was to fit new Samco hoses. New front panel with Misimoto rad and fan shroud next. Installed the front panel,GTM intercooler, induction pipes, air con condenser rad, supercharger oil cooler with all the piping. We put the head lights on to check alignment of the vented Tarnac front wings. Good fit. This is where we got after 4 hours with doughnuts/coffee and lemonade! A big thank you to Chris at Tarmacsportz for spending the time to source the best deal from the US which turned up yesterday! Genuine Nismo V3 front bumper! More to come.
  13. Names: 1: MrsNiki + 1 Hotel booked 3rd/4th June 2.buster and mrs buster Hotel booked 3rd/4th June 3. Andy and Katrina.hotel booked.
  14. There is no way you did this handraulically We know you too well Bloomin well did every last one (except the ones Andy did) But I did the most I did a few hundred nails. Chris did a few thousand!!!
  15. Spent a couple of hours on Sunday sorting out the oil and supercharger oil coolers and straightening out the fins on the intercooler which got knackered in the crash! Waiting for the main Supercharger induction pipe to be re made which looked like this! Samco hoses turned up today thanks to Chris at Tarmac and what with the new front panel from Ewan at Clark Motorsport I've got most of the parts required to re build the engine bay! Much more to come.
  16. Looking good Bob! Better get a patent application in on those side skirts before Tarmac starts copying them! Lol.
