  1. Im sure many of you are aware that this event has been scheduled later this year to amalgamate the cancelled Japfest from last month and the usual trax event due in October. https://www.fastcar.co.uk/japfest-silverstone/ At this time I'm reluctant to reinstate the original thread for Japfest as we already have many members that have paid out for tickets/track time and will not receive a refund but a voucher for next year. As things stand the current social distancing guidelines would make an event as large as this impossible to stage so I think it's best we all sit back and wait and see how things develop over the coming weeks. Hoping you are all keeping safe. Andy.
  2. Gunmetal, evil eyes is a good combo mate.
  3. Welcome along Andy. Nice looking motor. 20mm spacers all round are fine for the Rays without compromising the handling.
  4. Looking good Ian. AMR undertones. I like it.
  5. Looking good Martin. The temptation to polish those dash tops would be eating me!! Lol
  6. Unfortunately the calendar for the larger shows are booked the year before and the likes of Silverstone,Goodwood,Donnington are usually booked solid throughout the summer season. I find it hard to believe that any of the major events that have been affected can be rescheduled to later in the year unless we all fancy Japfest in November! Keep safe everyone and hopefully I will get my Z forum job back soon!!
  7. For many reasons I've mothballed the Z after last season for a lot longer than ever before. She has been tucked up in the garage since last October with the tyres pumped up to 50 psi to stop flat spots. I want to get her out and start the engine but as you all know the cold start on a Z is quite fast and I'm worried that the dry internals on my rather expensive engine will grind themselves to death before the oil pump kicks in! Buster recons there is an earth wire on the HR engine which can be disconnected to allow me to crank the engine over for a while to get the oil pressure up before the motor fires. Any other solutions would be greatly appreciated.
  8. The old keyser would have had 2 exhaust tips welded on the table for the bottle of oil and a full fat coke! Nice work buddy. Maximum effort and slimming!!
  9. Not been out on this toy for a while. Im thinking it would be frowned upon to go and purchase essential goods tomorrow on a Vmax so will just start her up in the driveway.
  10. Awesome skills as ever Chris. Hows the Boss getting on with the painting?......
  11. Spent the winter getting this pocket rocket ready for the coming sprint/hill climb season.
  12. Sold my M3 13 years ago and bought a new Datsun. She looks a bit different now but is a keeper.
  13. I have one of these on my 350. It's the best compromise mount. OEM like jelly, the Hardrace which I had before she became a garage Queen is awesome with rifle bolt changes but It comes with Land Rover noise levels.
  14. I would not have thought that the first Motorsport event of the year in the pouring rain 3 weeks ago would be the last for quite some time. Bloody slippery so took things steady as not raced a front driver before. Lost the back end badly and started to spin on the last timed run but I did what I’ve been told and kept it floored and b...er me the engine pulled the trailer out! Also not used to this cocking the rear wheel lark out of a corner!I have a lot to learn. Top snapper forum member mattross1313 was trackside and took these pics which make me look so much faster so thanks mate!
  15. I recon you have enough equipment in that garage of yours to make that cog! Lol
  16. Just the two of us keeping 2m apart building a new bungalow. Most Builders Merchants are now closed so getting materials is going to be a problem. I recon we have 2/3 weeks worth of gear on site and then on gardening leave.
  17. As expected this event has been postponed to a possible future date so at this time no refunds are available.
