  1. Welcome along! Where are you located and what's your budget? Any other requirements, such as preferred colour, max mileage? Initial bits of important info, there is a GT version that has more features (such as heated seats) and pre 2006 has 300BPH rather than 270BHP. I believe after 2006 (which are referred to as "face lift" models) they come with 300BPH as standard and slightly more BHP after 2007. I'm sure I will be correct if any of this is incorrect!

  2. My boss is buying the new Jag XJ Estate from Lloyds in Carlisle and was telling me about the above (for £300!) which offers all kinds of claims. I did some research but didn't reach any conclusions as no one had this ceramic coat fitted. Has anyone heard of it? It appears you can buy the coating for less than £100 and then get a detailer to apply it. I'm in South West Scotland, anyone reasonably local that would recommend and offer this service, or an alternative?

  3. I recently decorated my entire 1960s built house for the first time since I moved in a few years ago. I also got new electric and new boiler and radiators. The paper was a nightmare to remove and I used a steamer; some rooms had lining paper. The walls were in a bad state. I had hired a plasterer to fill in the gaps where the old radiators were and where the sockets had to installed. He patched in the gaps in the walls, left from removing the wallpaper, and then I used blown vinyl heavyweight wallpaper which is very easy to hang and covered up the imperfections on the walls. So basically what I'm saying is you might not need the whole room skimmed, a touch up job and heavy blown vinyl wallpaper might be a good compromise.

  4. Ok cool, so I presume they are silver then? Are you planning on keeping their original colour? (Personally I think black alloys on yellow Zs look best - http://www.flickr.com/photos/robinkiewiet/4884365867/) I had a look online and read users on other forums struggling also. Perhaps someone on here can you what the model of Rays will be on your car. From that you'll be able to look on the rays website and see the options and also the diameter you'll require (and the O-Ring setup) and then see if any 3rd party "Z" ones on ebay will fit.

    Hi, how much are these?

  6. Or you could do like a 350z Forum small meeting weekend! Like 1 day you say I'm going to in Cumbria on Feb 15th, who wants to join me and show me some local roads. Then the next day you're of to Edinburgh etc. Might take more organising, but means your journey will be fun more as you get to meet up with us handsome chaps (and ladies). Have a look at the members map and it might give you some ideas.

  7. As for year all uk gt4 models are 05 as for only owning for a short while that's because it was a part ex with my truck and cash my way just something else 2 sell on still doesn't give me an answer 2 my question how much do I advertise it for thanks

I'd be nicer to people on here if you expect free help and advise :)

  8. Yes my comment was entirely tongue in check, I put a winky face after it and everything. Granted the thread is not Z related, which is why I posted it in 'Off Topic Discussion'. I'm now regretting posting what was meant to be a lighthearted discussion between car fans.

P.S. The irony is you chose to post in a discussion to which you had no interest, and started that fact in your message.

  9. DinoPC.com are pretty good. For your requirements and budget I'd recommend their Mass Effect i5 3450 (geth3450) customised like below.

    Customizations:

    CPU: 2083x - NEW! Intel Core i5 3450

    Operating System: 11014x - Microsoft® Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit

    Motherboard: 4139 - NEW! Asus P8Z77-V LX

    RAM: 5040 - 16GB DDR3 1333mhz (4x 4GB)

    Hard Drive: 6029 - 2TB S-ATAIII 6.0Gb/s

    Optical Drive: 7003x - 22x DVD±RW DL S-ATA

Graphics card: 8086x - NEW! NVIDIA GeForce GTX 650 1GB

    Sound card: 10001x - Onboard 7.1 Audio

    Case: 17024x - Xigmatek Asgard

    PSU: 18039 - NEW! 600W Xigmatek

    Warranty: sc-1 - 3 Year SureCare Warranty

The hard drive up to 2TB might be a bit excessive, it comes with a 500GB as standard. Definitely go up to 8GB RAM, 16GB Isn't much more and I'd say worth it. PSU is also important. This rig will be capable of playing the latest games, but not at max settings.

  10. An Apple will cost you 40% more for a comparable spec machine and still way behind on gaming software. Give me your budget and I'll link you to some options.

Prob looking to spend £600/700 ish certainly not looking for hard core gaming machine but something that'd at least meet the min specs for the latest games.

Is the including a monitor? This is a big budget!
