What difference do you feel with the rays? I cant imagine it feeling THAT much lighter or different but ive yet o drive one with rays (maybe test drive one )

Also had few questions about rear strut bar, if i folded in around Z badge etc. the Z removes easily. Its got a few pins on the badge but have had bit of superglue coating i to stay in. I just used screw, scrapped away the glue and Z comes out with prongs intact. Pushing back in when finished and is still in securely.

Pic of bonnet shows the inch long crease i got trying to do it on my own. Apart from that one crease car is pretty good from my opinion just gotta hope rest comes out as good

The dreaded crease on the bonnet. The only imperfection i feel. Will be fixed after whole car is completed

IMO rays just look too custom. Like aftermarket alloys. I can see the benefit for less weight, styling etc but my cheapos look sexy

Okay i need new brake pads. For sure. My driving style is normal 75% of time and aggressive 25%, yellow be a bit too harsh for the discs with that style of driving?

Does every GT come with rays as standard? Main reason i went to buy my car was because it didnt have rays, just normal zed wheels but seems ever gt has em.

Would it still be recognisable if doing it on the interior centre console? They should have courses in the military to teach me this stuff, means i could enjoy my weekend instead of dying a little more in my room lol

Not at all, ive been going through Rtbiscuit for vinyl, using Hexis. Its about 5-6x more expensive than the ebay stuff but totally different. Ebay one left crease marks too, this one they just disappear. Minor marks are still there but nothing you can recognise unless ur licking the car.

By K&N graphs (i know - pinch of salt) theyve said upto 12bhp. Ive either felt 12bhp from air intake or felt a difference by replacing the @*!# ripspeed with 240pnd typhoon

Obviously the outcome is not as perfect as taking it to a garage. The only faults i can pick myself up on are: the finish on the inside of the door. Its not noticeable unless you get down close, theres creases going down but that cant be seen from outside and for the brief moment the door is open, no1 has yet to notice. And also a crease about half inch on the bonnet (decided to do bonnet myself - never again), but for non-pro looks good. Probably get a decal of something to cover the crease so its less recognisable. Ill take some pics tonight of good and bad areas. I know people will think 'ruined car should have done it professionally', but its my own little project, and everyone has to start from omewhere i guess so once pics uploaded try not to rip into how unqualified i am and give tips although i now know stretching is the key.

Regarding all these mods, people are saying you wont feel diff unless remapped, surely an air filter will still have an impact without the remap?

Whys lacquering such an 'art form'? Surely its just even coats?

Haha i know what i felt! It was the power of a hundred horses! It may not have added back breaking bhp (certainly added some) but the car just feels... Better now. Mind you i probably gained about 150bhp since the previous owner had one of those alfords ripspeed intakes. The thing didnt even fit....

What you mean each coat is clean? Smooth? It was mainly interior i was looking at but the zed looks like a nightmare with the pattern, fair bit of sanding to remove them

Ive always had the idea that spraypainting your car was bad joo joo unless you went to garage or ex sprayer. But it seems ALOT of people are spraying things themselves these days. Is it hard procedure? And is it manageable for a guy with no experiance to do? Ive started vinyl wrapping my car which i was told was difficult but seem to be quite alright at it. So is spraying the same "difficult" or a world of tears

K&N typhoon was what i first got and felt a big difference in noise and power. Not extreme amount but enough to smile whilst my wad of cash flew away
