Lol i hardly expected a ferrari, i just expected more power from a car that sounds and looks like a beast. But much agreeing on the "comments from behind a PC" lol. Although "it would be the same on any other forum", im on 4 forums atm, one of them is full of these topics since they bought a sports car to get the most out of a sports car. The topic was not "i got beat by a hatchback :bang:" , it was a discussion about what it could have had to beat a 350z (i know, not a ferrari), i didnt buy a 350z to drive it like a diesel focus or sit in a garage lol. I know theres plenty of people who will frown at the "drive it like a diesel" as you now that means removing the brick from behind ur acceleration pedal.

Some members seriously need to realise why its 350z-uk and not a random chat site. "if ur bothered by a car being faster, go buy an astra" - your all for modifications yet when someone asks about it, you feel you have to give someone @*!# because their new to cars. Far too many ignorent members on here, 90% are fine, then the other 10% give useless replies. Trying not to be harsh, but some of you arent too good at talking skills, and people wonder why theres so many members but not a massive amount of people meeting up. Apologies to those who this doesnt apply.

I was of the impression the forum was for talking about our cars? Pretty sure its for newer owners and guys who are new to cars to understand it all a bit more, apologies if thread anoys you, gotta start understanding it all sometime, and asking 350z owners about a 350z seemed reasonable. Again an annoying question, but since it came up, stage 2 etc is just changing parts of engine for newer bits right?

Need some opinions on colour choice 1) green boot w/green oem spoiler 2) green boot w/ black oem spoiler 3) black boot w/ black oem spoiler 4) black boot w/ green oem spoiler I was thinking black on black, but now the boot is black, it doesnt look as sleek.... But maybe thats jus because its not fully done...

In all seriousness though, are 2 grand of mods going to make the 350z feel more powerful? With the usual air take, dcat pipes, plenum and uprev? Obviously it has more power on books, but am i going to think, 2 grand well spent or just realise it sounds louder?

Yeah i know its power to weight, tyres sticking to road etc etc. impreza i expect to lose to, not astra.

Last time I checked you don't have to declare a colour change as its not permanent. Not sure if that has changed since... From what i gather (im wrapping whole car, u dnt need to tell the dvla but you do need to tell insurance. Im going lime Green and its gna put it up by 45pound

I was thinking about removing the whole centre console once again but i still wouldnt know how to check it. The tape wire looks like its got a nic in it, tiniest thing ever on the edge of wire, but not sure how id go round checking if its that ir the jacks conncting white box to car. I got one of those fuse checker things but no idea how to work it or if it would even help me find the root of the shortcircuiting

Tyre paint always looks good on muscle cars but im big fan of it on 350 Gonna get alloys refurbed black. No point buying new alloys when u cant see them when black lol. Oh and reverse sensors still work with vinyl over them (the reason i have green squares over bumper)

The tyre paint is a bit of a love hate for some people, so goes well with the love hate in your face green lol. Ill need to redo boot as made a mistake, at the end of this project, ill do a guide on vinyl wrapping, might help people out who would rather watch a guy whos made every mistake with his own money and own car, than an expert on youtube who is flawless in his videos. Current mistake with roof was: started on top left arch and came down few inches, then done the right, but then had mass excess right in the centre of boot i couldnt shrink down, so had to slice and now have a line on boot where it was joined. But it will be redone! But possibly going for green boot

Ive put oem stereo back in, but thats still working, just heating and speedo thats clonking out :/

Its happened whilst ive been changing stereo, but im not sure if ive maybe ripped bit of the white box wire or the wires going into the back of the white box, or just something else that caused it to... Reset? Or something. It seems to be shortcircuiting as a new fuse goes in, lasts a minimum of turning car on to blow or upto 5mins before it blows. People think its a relay, no idea wht that is though. ADDED: might be worth mentioning cd player still works along with car lights etc, i know nothing about electronics but i would have presumed its either the white box, the thin tape looking wire connecting white box to the heater control unit, or a problem with the 3wires connecting the car mains (or whatvers deep behind console) to the back of the white box

So its not every electronic piece, but the speedo/rev/fuel unit and heating dials arent working. Ive been told on the forum its down to the whie box area behind the gearstick cover. Ive taken it to military technician who cant find the solution either. Basically, i start the car, the instruments work for few minutes then the fuse blows. I put in a new 10amp fuse and it blows after a few minutes again. Ive tried insulation taping it, still no luck. The mil mechanic was going on about a relay or delay or something, anyone had this problem, or know a solution? I dont fancy going to nissan and paying loads for something that could be done at less ripoff garage, and dont want to buy a new white box unless thats the only solution. As far as im aware, the box still works, theres just something thats blowing fuse after few minutes.
