With the Nismo v2 arriving in a few days, Thinking about doing some d.i.y spray painting as i cant afford to go to garage with all the new parts im getting and keep getting it redone. Will only be priming/sanding/spraying the centre piece of v2 bumper black. Will I need to get a descent spray gun for a good black finish, or will the spraycans do the job?

Ah Thanks for link Not sure if id be able to do the job myself as i have no idea what half the component parts hes talking about are, but ill take wheel off, compare photos and see if i can see what hes on about. If not, garage and just tell em what to do to it

I know these problems are hard to fix over web if u cant hear it, But theres a noise coming from the rear passenger side wheel area. When i put it into first and drive forward it clicks a few times, then stops, until i put into reverse and drive, then clicks a bit more. I thought it might have been something to do with steering but seems to be from the rear. Any ideas?

I just used Lighter fluid and a microfibre cloth for a bit of soft but bumpyness, came off fine. 10min job [edit] Also used finger when it was wet with fluid and just rubbed in circles to take off the thickness of the sticky stuff

I wouldnt mind going into vinyl wrapping, its more just the "not what you know its who you know" type of situation to get it going. Im sure once i have one of the trades and a job, it can only get better as ill be putting alot of work into it. Would love to own my own garage in maybe 10-15years, with spraying/mechanics/vinyl under my belt, but its just how to get them without doing a 3year course for each. Dont suppose anyone knows any garages that would take me on just to be there to help out and learn? My current job isnt a trade and nothing i can use on civilian street, so its starting from scratch again

yeah i got black boot aswell so doubt itll look right if pillars were green. still seeing how the finished product will be as still iffy about the black boot. so many decisions!!!

changed my idea since i seen the car to create it like the photoshoped one. it was going to be black wingmirrors but going to go for green, and was going to have all bottom skirting black, but sticking to green. dont know about the green rim on alloys though, never been a fan but it could suite the car, need to finish the damn vinyl wrapping first. taking forever, and gotta wait on new bumper since i smashed mine up

no qualifications but im looking onto doing some courses when i leave for spray painting and doing mechanical. thinking about going round some garages and seeing if i can pay to just hang around and learn sone stuff first so i pick something up.

Okay so im looking at swapping jobs but wanting to do something with cars, my aim would be to be an allrounder with vinyl, spraying and mechanics. Anyone currently one of those or know how much they get paid? Been told you dont get much for being a mechanic, but smething id want to do if the pay was just right.

I like the look of this car as it is, I p'shopped the green in just for you. I'm not a fan of cannards though I like the look of canards so i reckon theyll stay, but with the car being top half black i think bottom black might not look so good with the green centre. Thanks for photo shop though are u able to photo shop the green one with black pillars, roof and boot?

Im 6ft 3, and i dont have any problems in the car, after a week of driving you know your setting but takes a while to get. Only thing i cant do is spike my hair up in a mohican, so aslong as u dont have emo looking spikey hair, you wont need to worry about the do. As for leg room, never had a problem. I cant stretch leg fully while sitting, but. Doubt theres many cars out There we could

okay im thinking keep black as it is, do the rest of it green and go fron there if i need to vinyl wrap black i can always do those bits myself i guess its not too bad a thing, couldnt justify getting v2 but now... i can regarding the canards, the kit im getting comes with them already but thanks for offering car should be 90% complete by mid october, with boot and spoiler to do

I cant lie, some of the cars do look smart. Like the aston martin, but you can NEVER race anyone, since youll get beat by anyone with a real car. And the cash theyve spent, surely they can get themselves a nice zed or even gtr.... I no understand
