  2. Im guessing the rear window heater still works when its tinted? And wont effect the tint?
  3. Id say the lowest your going to be able to do performance mods for is like 200 or so, i.e. hfc / air intake etc If its cosmetics your looking at, do a bit of spraying or vinyl with the interior such as dash, rear strut bar etc. My first mod was a verticle stand for in the dash hole thingy, so when i have the phone on as a satnav, i can just lean it there instead of sticking it on the windows. Ebay for like £5 and works fantastic
  4. Gloss candy red would look cool if you had other little bits red, i.e. wing mirrors. You can pull off crazy stuff when your driving a classy looking car
  5. So after learning how to wrap, figured i might aswell keep doing my own D.I.Y teaching. Next step is doing window tinting, cant see it being that hard, just a pain until you get the technique as i found with the vinyl. Anyone done it before themselves? Also looking at respraying centre console so its like a glass finish, so ill add those 2 onto my build thread once done
  6. Got any pics of footwell lighting? I was looking at doing something like that
  7. If your on about pulling off fast, traction control off makes a big difference. But only do it on straights and not in the wet. The car doesnt handle well in the rain even with the gucci looking tyres. Youll find that if traction is on, your gear change will have a slight lag, as if you had a turbo.
  8. The police said i didnt have to actually tell the dvla, as it was only temporary. But if i didnt, id just constantly be getting pulled over and not looking as cool as id want to be while driving past the hundred girls eyeing up the Zed. Although half the conversation did involve me explaining what vinyl was (even though they have it plastered over their own cars)
  9. Just a quick one, if your looking to wrap your car, even though it isnt permanent, you need to tell insurance and the dvla. From reading up everyone has been saying insurance only, but, you must inform dvla even though its temporary. So thy can update police records, as i found out. Had police following me for 6miles, then as i pulled into my raf base they flashed lights and thought the vehicle was stolen as its meant to be "Silver nissan 350z" but mines is "green debadged". 2 seconds later traffic police rushed in thinking they were gonna get a good police chase... Lol. All you have to do is, send a letter to: VC DVLA swansey SA991BA With your vehicle reg, make and model, the colour and if its temporary (which youll have to say), what date you changed it, and date and signature at the bottom Just a tip since theres mixed rumours
  10. Steering controls are possible with most units, i got old style double din and little bit of d.i.y and you can do it. Not sure about the bose amp though, from what ive read everyone has had to bypass it. But could be different if you buy a bose unit?
  11. Nismo v2 front, spats rear with diffuser. I think the bigger the car is from bottom to top, the more mean it looks as it takes up more of the road. But if u get nismo, dont get it lowered, my cars standard suspension and i gotta go 1mph over speed bumps
  12. Thanks Ian. As far as naming and shaming goes, I'd rather wait until the situation is resolved, however that happens. Everyone cocks up every now and again, and I think how they deal with their ****-ups often says more about a company that the mistake itself so we shall wait and see for now. DB +1 on name and shame. Garages will evidently mess up at one point by taking too many orders and not wanting to disappoint, naming and shaming should be done if they just chin you off. The place im going o regarding vinyl incident i was going to name and shame but theyve sorted out a good proposition and apologised, redoing the work for free with some money back. Most garages dont want a bad rep. Hope it gets sorted
  13. Keep pushing up their heirarchy, get transfered not a seperate number to call. The staff have a set rule by rule wether as the line managers can twist the rule to their discretion as i found out when payin my policy. Was told its either in full or monthly, after going through 2 or 3 (with elephant, their all sister companies), the manager gave me 7 day leeway to get some funds, and pay it over few months with no intrest paid.
  14. Definetly has to be the need for speed hot persuit soundtrack, with cinema and sofi needs a ladder
  15. Everyone is on about the exhaust sounding better aftermarket wise, but i think the little noise a std exhaust has when u rev, then calmsbdown and has a little brum brum at the end, aftermarket still retain that? Apologies for my horrendous description
  16. Theres loads of screws holding it together, but you need to start removing covers etc. my guess is that its just a loose screw, ive been playing around with mine. Next time i take them off i can put up a few pics
  17. Get out through the boot? Lol
  18. What do they taste like? I know maximuscle ones are horrible
  19. A pot of wax thats more expensive than my car.... Lol
  20. Im guessing with the wing mirror covers, youll still be able to see a bit of the original colour when looking at mirror end of it?
  21. have you got a link? i went holland and barrett and only saw the ones from USN which I then brought. http://www.hollandandbarrett.com/pages/ ... 60&cid=513 Thats the stuff i was using, expensive so had to go cheaper. But im sure youll find cheaper than that from somewhere. I used to just take mine to cinema etc with me
  22. Is that the 313bhp 350z? Itd put me off as u have no idea how the cars been treated i.e. axles etc. no obvious damage doesnt mean its perfect.
