as i already spoke to you before i posted this, ill do same for you when im in scotland mate I'm also in Scotland (just over the border, near Carlisle) and would like my roof done, but I understand that you doing Ewan221's as a special favour so it's cool if you can't. Do you have a garage or somewhere indoors for your car? And how far are you off the m6? Driving up with the girlfriend so cant do too much of a detour and dependant on the time we are leaving, but if its possible i will. Even if its on the way back down south and. Had spare time. Dates for scotland are looking like 24th dec til 3rd jan atm Yeah my car is kept in the garage (which has power), it's quite tight for space, enough to comfortably get the car in length ways and wide enough to squeeze my fat ass out without banging the door. I'm about 15 minutes off the M6 (place called Annan), see map link here - http://goo.gl/maps/MxNam Any of those dates are fine with me Okay mate, garage should be enough room for me to work around, would normally take about hr but since ill be doing it on my own, might take hr and half-2hr if thatd be cool with you. I'll speak to the missus about it, make sure she dont mind the detour for couple of hours -

I'm in hendon in North London. I'm cautious about wrapping but have put myself at number 3. You're not far from me so I'll give it a whirl with a view to more in the future. I have the GUnmetal......where dos the roof wrap go to? Do you have any pics? Thanks, Pete What is it that your cautious of with vinyl? I could explain a few things if you have any questions. -

The front end, where the windscreen meets the roof, there is a lip of rubber, the vinyl gets tucked under there. And for the rear, it is just folded round, the only way you will see it is if you lift up boot and get close up to look. The roof is the most secure piece on the car as all edges are covered. Actually....do you/could you do the front grill as well? The window pillars are unclipped so it folds under them, thus making it impossible to peel. The front end, where the windscreen meets the roof, there is a lip of rubber, the vinyl gets tucked under there. And for the rear, it is just folded round, the only way you will see it is if you lift up boot and get close up to look. The roof is the most secure piece on the car as all edges are covered. As for front grill, if your looking at an OEM bumper grill, not sure if it will stick securely enough, but can always have a go with some spare vinyl. Personally id spray the grill if you want it a more rich colour, my grill on v2 is sprayed black, means theres no edges where 2 bits of vinyl have had to be cut and joined up. -
Quick one from my experiance, take a bottle of water, and squeeze it with pressue at corner of windows, see if it leaks in. I believe u can also get them to get full m.o.t print off records online from .gov, so you can see what it has failed on previously

I think its awesome, but once you hear others you start to hear the slight differences. Its not 100% clear sounds, well, it is compared to a ford ka

m6 is quick but very dull. If your not going through rush hour in south england, id go the a1/m1 and stick on it til you get to the east of edinburgh. Alot more winding roads, some awesome scenery at the coast and sometimes a few caravans (which there wont be many of at this time of the year) As for actual roads while your there, no idea im afraid

Does the camera automatically come on when you put it into reverse? Or do you click a button first? -
Been on the hunt for a spoiler, the closest image i can get to what im looking for is: http://www.google.co.uk/imgres?um=1&hl=en&newwindow=1&safe=off&sa=N&biw=1441&bih=684&tbm=isch&tbnid=EgnjD98OmIi3gM:&imgrefurl=http://www.turbomagazine.com/features/0705_turp_mines_nissan_350z/photo_07.html&docid=92uq7cI4OPKmTM&imgurl=http://image.turbomagazine.com/f/8965405%252Bw750%252Bst0/0705_turp_07z%252Bnissan_350z%252Bspoiler.jpg&w=640&h=480&ei=xQ2QUOuPBO-Y1AXhvIDYBQ&zoom=1&iact=hc&vpx=582&vpy=40&dur=1194&hovh=194&hovw=259&tx=163&ty=135&sig=108178641755191680045&page=1&tbnh=139&tbnw=174&start=0&ndsp=23&ved=1t:429,i:93 OR http://www.google.co.uk/imgres?um=1&hl=en&newwindow=1&safe=off&sa=N&biw=1441&bih=684&tbm=isch&tbnid=zDBTrET3Z_e9nM:&imgrefurl=http://www.edozone.com/Nissan/350z_bodykits.html&docid=v89M-47Zygi25M&imgurl=http://www.edozone.com/Nissan/nissan_370Z_350z_wings_west_style_trunk_spoiler.jpg&w=600&h=300&ei=xQ2QUOuPBO-Y1AXhvIDYBQ&zoom=1&iact=hc&vpx=608&vpy=379&dur=9764&hovh=159&hovw=318&tx=256&ty=119&sig=108178641755191680045&page=2&tbnh=130&tbnw=260&start=23&ndsp=28&ved=1t:429,i:133 Looking for that style of spoiler (but that is fits into OEM holes instead of ontop of OEM spoiler). I'm liking the racing look spoiler, but dont want one thats OTT. Main points im looking for is that it isnt too OTT, and if i cant get it to fit straight into OEM holes, that it can fit on where an OEM spoiler would cover the holes when i come to sell the car. Anyone know of any? (Price range is upto 400, all i can find are ones at £1000)

If you charge people, your a business. Whether officially or not. Unless your a charity and doing it out of the goodness of your heart?? You may very well provide a better standard of finish than other so called professionals but that doesn't mean you can charge the same as them. People like Tarmac, RT Biscuit & Husky have started by doing a few things as favours on here to test the water and most likely did for free/at cost initially. Then once they had numerous satisfied clients they were able to build on this reputation to become successful Member traders. If your as good as you say you are then I have no doubt that you will be successful it's just that some of your responses worry me, especially with regards to indemnity insurance and your intentions to charge the same as as established company. I reckon my Sausage & Mash is better than Jamie Oliver's that doesn't mean I can start knocking it up in my kitchen and flogging it to passers by for £40 a pop.......... I wish you good luck, I really do. Unfortunately most start up business' fail within the first 18 months due to starting off on the wrong tracks. My points are mean't to be constructive and hopefully it's taken that way ill take your points onboard, im aware there will be others with the same opinion but not mentioning. I have no business understanding so will need to get myself to an advisor -

As stated earlier, it is not a business. Therefore i dont have the tools until i open a business. I charge what i think is right, the garages i refer to are garages i have been to, one of which are "professionals" yet i can do a better job than that selected garage. Simply because they are a garage doesnt mean they are good, nor will you get the money back for a dodgy job as im finding out with the garage im specifically talking about. Yes, theres no insurance, and i have no staff nor business, It is not an official business. Its people coming to me to wrap their car. I dont bodge job it and blag that its how vinyl is, no refund, im a bloke, getting some examples of work, to then open a business if all goes well. As for scratching paint work etc, i've already told those ive spoken to, if they want to watch, feel free. i highly doubt many "professionals" offer that. i understand theres criticisms, but i am not a business. I dont pressure people to choose me. They know im not a business, its their choice.
