  1. I think this thread is promoting mpg in the zed as opposed to worrying about it. Everyone checks that stupid fuel gauge regularly and mpg. I always like going to meets and finding I have the best avg mpg against st, vxr, impreza etc although even if we had a 1.6diesel 60mpg... u would still bother about mpg
  2. Just read this after I posted. Do you know if theres a link to this? I always presumed a glow underneath the car was still illegal, visible bulb or not
  3. Haha go for it u can sit next to me at 350z meets when I get my green undercar neons only thing id say is make the glow equal, even around the wheels. That pic shows gaps which looks a bit crap
  4. I highly doubt most cameras will be turned on. Again I think I read this in the news that instead of the government controlling speed cameras, they were handed over to the local council. They dont have enough funds or can justify the cost of maintainance and have frequently just left it there unuseable. Some councils have started to remove them in the believe that speed cameras cause more accidents with people slowing down too fast. Especially since those crafty guys put a sign reducing speed on a corner with a camera next to it trying to grab our money. Police vehicles would be more of a detterant. Takes about 10miles to get past one driving at 70 and were all doing 71mph lol.
  5. Thats the one yep. Wouldnt say it was amazing ready to spray and fit. Garage I took it to were to fix it up, spray and fit. But turned out to be the worst garage on the planet, fitted with b&q wood screws and didnt sit properly. So im not sure on how it would have fitted. Personally, if you cant afford genuine, epracing is where id ho for replica. But if you can pick up genuine with stone chips, different colour, itd be same price and less hasstle.
  6. I got mine from epracing. But as already stated, u buy a replica and there is things you need to do for perfect fitment. I.e filling random cracks and holes, and fibreglass certain areas. Pick a replica up for 200. Then another 150 for filling and spraying, possibly more
  7. Exterior looks good. But inside engine... missing fluid caps, rust all over the place and air filter looks a bit screwed
  8. If its oem, the alignment is due to 3 backbox plugs. Go under the car and just check their sll in place. Its 2 on one side and 1 on the other. Little metal finger from backbox that plugs into a rubber plug... sorry for bad explanation
  9. Yeah chris, your cars broken just sell it or get one of those ebay electric superchargers for good bhp and mpg
  10. The zed is one of the most economical sports cars... and at higher speeds the mpg dont drop so much as the engine isnt struggling for more power. OTher cars I.e. low litre or diesels arent good after 60-65mph as fuel economy shoots down Not a technical opinion just my own from driving various cars. London to edinburgh on 78pound. Could potentially do london to edinburgh and back on one tank in a zed
  11. If its american, it wont matter if its lhd or rhd, u cant use the steering wheel anyway
  12. Im sure u read somewhere that average speed cameras didnt actually fine anyone, was on bbc news or something.
  13. Just found this thread in google when searching, I DONE IT!! ... nearly.. just 2 bumpers to go
  14. I understand doing 60 in one of those zknes.. but 137mph :o Just glad workies dont actually ever work, could have been dangerous
  15. I need both. Big letter "Z" replacing the lettering in the middle of the burger badge for front bumper.. and... the lettwr z from "350z" on left side of the boot Edit: scuffs wont matter as im spraying. Just cant be cracked or chipped
  16. All the time. Especially in the summer when im looking cool and click heated seats and realise when im sticky. Get a jetfighter red button clip. Not only will it protect u from a sweaty back, u can lie to friends and say its nos, so they will think your super cool and wont touch your buttons
  17. Lloyd, if your looking at making this more permenant but still removable, you can vinyl wrap it, a gloss black would look much better I.m.o. if you need a hand wrapping, im w.london
  18. Im a fan of the american one. Looks like police interceptor although not sure on o.p. bonnet. Doesnt suite the lines of the zed to match. However, how can I talk. I have a big bogey coloured zed
  19. Possibly my next set are mpss if its good reviews all round. I just want grip when I need it, I.e. the rain and as u mentioned, braking Thanks for the info guys
  20. Welcome mod for a fiver http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/65318-interior-mod-for-a-fiver/
  21. The view at the zedshed on sunday Some eibach 20mm hubcentric spacers for front wheels to be fitted And "nissan" lettering for the rear bumper. Not to everyones taste making it obvious its a nissan, but better than a stupid burger
  22. Is the 2 tone goinh to be gloss or matt black? Guy in america tried various 2 tone on his zed. Heres the link http://my350z.com/forum/exterior-and-interior/529678-jdm-350z-wrapped-in-matt-white-vinyl.html
  23. Does it cover any kerbing? Or still very obvious?
  24. Looking for pair of eibach hub-centric 25mm spacers before I plunge into buying brand new prices. Zed front bumper badge (this is the big z in middle of logo, not a standard nissan badge) The letter "Z" from the boot. The car wash guys washed mine off.... Thanks
  25. IVe read these before, its what made me choose vred tyres. But it says vreds are mid range, potenza 040 are premium. Even though 040 have terrible reviews and majority of people are driving a ford mondeo, not quite the same. Although the link is good for getting general idea of wear and usability in rain Which is precisely why that site is rubbish. It's asking people who have no clue what they're talking about what they think about tyres, and usually when people spend more they justify it by saying what they bought was great. Sounds like someone I know. Seriously unless youve ordered then I wouldn't go for VUS. They are decent but they are far far to soft and wear out way to quick. So a more expensive tyre like a eagle f1 or mpss is more expensive but you get more grip, double the life and they don't hydro plane like the VUS. All 4 are vus, had to buy another a week ago due to puncture. Im looking at gettin some 19" soon though. Mpss, is that mich pilot sport or one up from it? Vreds were supposedly meant to be good in the rain?
