Looking at getting some touch up paint, i type in the model and details etc, but it cant find any results for 350z colour code WV2 Do they use a different set of colours? Ive seen wv2 in silverstone grey and gun metal grey, are these both the same colour, both WV2? Thanks
-
You pull off in 2nd gear? That is not good for the zed clutch tbh. 1st gear in the zed is pretty long itself. Just been taking off in second from what ive read on various mpg saving forums, didnt realise it can cause damage from 2nd. Ill keep quiet now

Looking for WV (grey) passenger front wing. Minor scratches are fine, but no rust or damages. My current one has slight bit of rust, so would only need the wing itself to replace my own. Thanks

^^^ This times billionty. I find it odd that people will spend nigh-on a grand on new wheels or body kits or BFWs without blinking, but try and save a couple of hundred quid on the bits that actually matter. Not you DDC, more a general observation. Ive generally always paid top price for things, but the thread wasnt indicating i wanted cheap tyres that were made of rubber. More so that, vredesteins are cheaper alternative to mpss, nearly as good. Was merely seeing if there were tyres that were like this, but at a lower price. Verds used to be 100 a wheel when they werent heard of too much and was looking for a brand that was beginning to take off well and price was low due to brand being new. Chances are i will get mpss, but i dont always believe that 100pound tyres will not work good. Appreciate its not aimed at me, just sorta saying why i wasnt aiming at mpss initially

18mpg is what my partner gets when she drives the car (she doesnt pay the fuel so doesnt realise what mpg means), when i average 26. Could it just be how you drive the car? I start on 2 gear and go to 5th at 30mph anf 6th at 40mph. I average around 22-26 for town driving. The partner changes to 5th at 60 and 6th at 70. Not saying your not driving right, maybe just gear changes?

Kumho seem to have some good reviews. I know people are saying not to skimp on tyres, but its only skimping if i was buying the cheapest tyres going. To some people the price isnt a big deal, but its 140 extra for SS compared to other tyres, which takes it toll when your trying to pay off other car issues lol. Ill have a look around at the kumho's. I dont boot the car so its not like i need the highest spec (understanding that tyres and brakes are still the most important), vreds have just worn down way too fast and wouldnt buy another set for that reason. Thanks for all the input guys could 2 used, but basically brand new vred tyres up for sale if i do go with the same tyre setup all round
-
Only issue i got is brand new vreds on front and both rears worn. Surely both rear tyres same and front the same thats still okay?
-
Where would i find part worn? And is there anything to look out for other than tread and holes? I checked ebay (the shops on ebay), are they just as reliable?

Looking for some good tyres without the pro price tag. From what i can see, supersports are seen as the best. Only issue for me is the 170 pricetag. Are there any tyres around the 100 mark that are still quite good? Had the verdesteins on, and after a year their "okay", as soon as they lose a bit of tread they become useless. Main concern is in the rain, i dont track car and only really play with it on straight roads. At the moment im finding the verds kick out alot when im driving normally. So, alternatives to the michelin SS as itd just be a waste me spending that amount when i drive like a girl round corners and just want some grip in dry and rain.

I drive in snow all the time with zed. Works same as all other cars only 1 thing diff. The usual : 2nd gear take off and keep revs low Dont brake round corners and when you do brake, gently tap. Try using gears to slow down aswell incase brakes cease Main difference with rwd is, i find it easier to reverse up hills than drive up (if you live at bottom of hill and able to do so) Keep esp on, some say it works better with it off but i dont think it does. And tyre tread is big deal too. I dont use winter tyres, but my verdesteins worked well when brand new as they were like tank tracks. Now their half worn, not so good. If in doubt of you or cars ability, just hop. Lift in someones car or rent one. Not the best option but if you dont drive in snow kuch or havent before, 350 isnt a good starter for the parts price

Can you not get higher than 125 and restrict the bhp?

That exhaust is well wide.... lol

Unfortunately the time has come to sell my zed. Due to leaving the RAF, I wont know how much my income will be for the foreseeable future. I bought the car in november 2011 with 50k miles on the clock, currently has 65k miles (will still be driving until sold). It is a GT spec which includes; Xenon headlights Brembo callipers Bose head unit and sound system Cruise control Heated electric leather seats The alloys are 18" OEM and not rays Modifications and parts fitted Exedy clutch fitted at 62k miles Single mass lightened flywheel fitted 62k miles Invidia gemini true dual exhaust fitted 60k miles K&n typhoon cold air intake fitted 52k miles Black diamond groove discs and pads all round fitted 64k miles Bosch battery fitted 60k miles New spark plugs fitted 56k miles Nismo gear knob fitted 52k miles 350z footwell mats, both sides, usual worn but no tears or damages Original boot mat and 350z boot mat. Original is usual worn, 350z boot mat like brand new. Comes with full service history. past 2 services have been done by myself, using mobile 1 oil and k&n cleaning kit for air filter. Prior to this, servicing had been carried out by nissan. And as with any car, there are issues and I wont hide any that there are or that ive had. Original exhaust rusted and broke, replaced with invidia gemini, now perfect Left cat is showing maintenance light, and is being replaced before car is sold Passenger fender has 10p size rust spot, but will be fixed before car is sold. However, aside from these issues that will be fixed, the car has never broke down on me. Engine runs perfectly and has never been tracked. Interior is in amazing condition aswell as exterior, minus the fender which will be fixed. Looking for £7000 o.n.o, payment is negotiable if you are not able to pay the full amount straight away. More photos will be uploaded tomorrow evening. Car will also be sold on ebay and auto trader.

ddcboyle replied to davedutch's topic in Off Topic Discussion
Ive had no warnings but a video I uploaded got deleted straight away. Nsfw and nsf forum haha -
Elephant admiral etc, that group, have upped their quotes on the comparison websites, I was quoted 1,6. However, on phoning them I got it for 800. May be worth a try spending a day calling tbe companies (a ball ache but may save you some cash)

2004 n/a can get to 176 on gps. But, its a one time thing, no use delimiting a uk spec, however 112 would anoy me

Depends what year you have. Driver side for a pre facelift, theres a plastic circle cover where ur hand goes to pull the door shut, underneath that is a screw, undo that and pull out. With the passenger, I believe, you need to remove that piece of silver plastic, I bent mine while doing it so im not sure if theres a better way
