Thats what i thought about the noise of a diesel, but seen in person. Normally the only noise from a diesel is the engine í ½í¸… Just didnt know if, if it fits over the ypipe, if id lose power/does the y pipe really change the tone much
-
Asked the question on the a5 owners club, they dont seem to like to respond on that forum... Question is, im looking to buy supersprint exhaust for a5, pretty expensive. So i was looking at dpf deletr and the end section, from y-pipe down. So, do i need the centre section or can i use my oem. As in, if it fits... will it make a big difference using oem compared to centre section? Its 400quid for centre bit, and really, if the 2 tail pipes (which will be box free) allow for a good note/power, whats the point in mid sect if only a tiny change?

3weeks!! How often are you smoking this thing lol. I have the MVP and lasts about 2 and half days (mind u i puff like a chimney)

If your going to buy the tobacco flavour, your best to buy a descent ecig (not the 10quid ones from the stall), kangertech are always an easy option. And buy the liquid online or via a shop as they use the best materials. Garage flavouts are revolting. Tastes like your liking an ashtray

Welcome mate

Ah right, so the first photo, where it shows the wheel showing from the lower part, that wont matter as its only based on the top of wheel/top fender/arch. (If that makes sense) Edit: or is tread counted as the actual single line going round the tyre as opposed to the small inch lines that go parrallel

So much elbow grease required! If you have a gym membership, just cancel it, you're getting a full workout with the car Awesome build so far

Hi guys, going to buy some spacers for the a5, and i know the law states roughly that the wheel must be in line or under the fender/wing. Does this look too much or would it be okay? Its 20mm front

Ah rivet will be fine taking off. Is it just a rivet holding it, or is it also glued to the plastic? Just wondering incase i take it off and the stitching comes undone from glue
-
Hi again guys, Just wondering, the knee rest pads in the 350z, are we able to get them as an individual leather pad, or is it imbedded into the plastic? The a5 doesn't have it, and was quite a nice touch in the zed.

Hey guys, been a while since i popped on the forum, but decided this would be the best place to ask After selling zed, went away and bought a 1.9cdti sri astra, not as fun as i thought, so looking at Focus ST now. Tempted by this new style ST3, due to the price, however, i know nothing about buying a catc, catd car. Any info/advice, worth buying, stay well clear etc. I have always thought "never buy cat c or cat d car, their broken, they will break again", but just looking for some info/experiences Car in question http://www.autotrade.../cars?logcode=p

1200 originally. Done a bit of editing, I.e. instead of putting "soldier - armed forces" I put down "airman - royal air force" which is my rank, saved 200quid. Parked in lit street away from house saved 100quid. Then phoned and haggled for 30mins and got 200 off. If you phone them, call them and say your looking to buy insurance, and ask if they can ring you back. Saves you paying the bill. This only works if their making money lol

Nobody should be bothered by the fact or lie, whatever one it is, that the 350z has a renault engine in it. Someone saying "you know that 350z has a french engine in it", is like saying "you know your ferrari, you know fiat own ferrari"... still a ferrari...

I had same issue when I had my v2 bumper, I didnt go to nissan specialists for service though I just got a list of garage numbers around the area, phoned and asked. 1 garage out of 15 could do it. May be worth doing that before driving to each one
-
Only issue with the topic is lack of interest for them to get made and it was 1013. Thinking od maybe changing my idea on how to mod the car, maybe just go for the full black stealth car. No need for badges and colour and makes it cheaper didnt realise it was this complicated for badges to be made. I understand why now thoughh

Do you know what kind of clutch you have in your car? I had a Single mass, and they make quite a bit of noise.

I never found a problem with the zed with fitting things in the car. I could fit everything in it that i ever needed to fit. Except things like fridges, but thats why you have friends with a bigger car you can call upon. Only downfall, Is you cant take more than 1 person. So you can only show off your car to 1 at a time. And if your like me, that your best mate doesnt own a car and thinks hes married to you and owns the passenger seat, nobody else will be able to sit in your car for a road trip
-
I feel another badge coming on here Well... the car doesnt handle anything like a zed (as expected, just didnt want it to handle differently lol) Understeers bad, lots of torquesteer when you put your foot down... and the suspension is rock solid compared to the zed. Feel every bump in the road. Even though it bounces... quite strange. As much as people mock uncomfortableness of sports cars, the zed annihilates the astra hands down with comfortability. Apart from the clutch and gearbox. Astra is easy to push down clutch, and my gearbox must have cotton wool inside as its smooth. Still... wouldnt mind a zed again if it got more mpg
-
drove 420miles at 56mph. I think i got around 38-42mpg. Not fun at all though.
-
Since you have a witness, hopefully this works in your favor and can get it sorted. best of luck.

Would just be VXD. So VXR is the fastest astra or corsa. VXD would be fastest astra or corsa diesel. I know its super geeky, but still, If it can beat a ford focus ST which is meant to be a sports hatch, and it gets a badge.... I want a badge on my car too! Ill try see if theres more interest on the badges from the vauxhall forums. It doesnt seem to be a forum like ours in regards to peoples actual interest rate. If i can get enough interest that I think it could work, ill let you know

I think its all down to personal choices. Obviously everyone says dont chase the money, At the same time there does need to be a reasonable amount if you have children etc. Thats the only difficult side, along with if you have a partner who doesnt bring in much income, or have high bills. I wouldnt follow flyboys route with the travelling side, just because I couldnt take that much risk. Worked out for him though, as hes willing to take a bit more of a risk. What things are you genuinely interested in? Not interested as in, you like football and snooker on a saturday, but what things are you interested in in respect to jobs. Ive always liked a comfortable risk-free lifestyle. i.e. pension sorted, wage garaunteed, and job garaunteed. Military had exact wage each month, health benefits, and i wasnt going to lose my job without a massive payout. It had its risks with casualty rate, but its different kind of risk. Going police, has wage garaunteed, job garaunteed and health benefits and pension. Along with both of these I like to have power, not like a CEO of a company or politician power, but, I had a weapon, I had authority. Both jobs have this, and this gives me a sense of satisfaction. These are the types of things ive found important to me. Probably blabbering on now and making no sense, but makes sense to me

As the title says, anybody tried window tinting yet? Refusing to pay the cost of what a garage charges, simply because i dont rate most garages work. Wrapped quite alot of things, I know wrapping and tinting is one of those things everyone tries to avoid and say go to a garage, but tbh, i didnt find wrapping hard after i had done a few panels. Just curious if window tinting is along the same lines. Has anyone wrapped their own things, i.e. bonnets/roofs etc and then successfully tinted their windows? Seen a few videos on youtube, doesnt look too difficult. Looks the same as vinyl in a way, only difficult part looks like the rear window. And what sort of products did you use? Are Hexis and 3m good in the window tinting area? Cheers Dean

I had thought about 3d printers, but is that not expensive because its just new out? Normally new things cost a fortune until it becomes common
