Hard to describe this. I recently switched from Falkens to MPSS tyres so expecting an improvement. Now whether I'm pushing the car harder as the tyres are a bit better I'm not sure but the backend feels a bit unstable at times. For example on a stretch of A road if I'm pushing or following another fast car round some medium corners at speed when the back rolls over to the outside of the corner it feels like it bounces back a bit which adds some wiggle. tight corners feel fine as I guess there's the force keeps everything pushed over I didn't use to feel this. I'm guessing it's not the tyres mind! The garage has done a 4 wheel alignment which has definitely sharpened the steering and responsiveness but the back end feels the same not as confident as last year basically. SO what could it be? They've had a quick look at the rear suspension but can't find anything.

I cleaned mine as described and the issue is still there although much less erratic, just a feature of the car I guess!

That would be me

Any idea how strong these are vs the OEM bumpers?

Where did you source the switch? I assume to do it right you want two switches, one in the passenger door and one in the drivers door (passenger position)

Wooo, refilling the bottle worked The GF gave me a look after my panic yesterday. In my defence I hadn't realised they don't pop out if there's no water. I assumed they popped out but didn't spray. Any ways cheers guys, cosmetic damage only

I refilled the main tank awhile ago, do the washers generally run out before the main tank? I'll give that a try tonight though

Fair enough, I figured asking what to test is different from it's tested and busted! So people https://www.dropbox....03_002.jpg?dl=0 is the damage, whats the possible reason both sides have stopped working? (Passanger side wasn't hit, I can manually pull the washers out although doing that while someone presses the button doesn't result in water ) also how do I edit my title to reflect we've moved on from testing?
-
They're busted! FOr anyone wanting to follow my saga... http://www.350z-uk.c...n-drivers-side/

I had a small skid in the ice the other day and bumped into a car in front. Aside from all the other fun my headlight washers have stopped working. Hitting the button causes the usual noises but no washing. Although the drivers side is the one that was hit both of them fail to extend. What could cause both to fail even though only one side was impacted? I can pull them both out manually so the damage doesn't seem to bad (The cover is smashed however) Haven't really looked at this area before so any help would be appreciated. Nice damage photo.... https://www.dropbox.com/s/pwuwp3ghduwdwei/WP_20150203_002.jpg?dl=0

Which ones the headlight washer button? Not aware of that one! Mines just tied to the front washers
-
Shall give it a try! Fingers crossed already got enough to have repaired without worrying about the mechanism

Hi Guys had a nice little bump in the snow and ice and my driverside washer cover was crushed and shattered ( ) I want to check the mechanism itself is working fine however when it chooses to wash the headlights seems to be a dark mystery. Is there a way to guarantee that triggering the washer will cause the headlight washers to also trigger?

Pop the caps off, you can get the emblems off and spray the caps yourself. Did it with mine and it looks much nicer. I actually bought some new caps/badges off ebay for 10 quid just to make sure I had some nice new ones but same effect!

Hm interesting! So the grip ratings are totally different even though they're both A's? Sounds like they need an A+ or A*
-
So new tyre time, Falkens atm and looking at something nicer. Everyone raves about MPSS but looking at the rankings Primacy3's have the same grip but better fuel economy, so what's the story? anyone run both? Also pondering P zero's or Eagle F1's

Nice! what do you use to clean it? Don't really want to spray the engine bay with a hose!?
-
Is that curb wrapped? ie looks good parked on a street or things like the insides of the doors?
-
Be interested to hear how this goes! Would enjoy wrapping mine just worried about getting the prep right and removing all the bubbles etc!
-
worth me checking out, I love the red it is at the moment but fancy something else maybe. Red is a bit useless for wrapping mind, any door/engine bay will immediately show off the original red vs the new wrap colour
-
That's kind of the issue isn't it, if you go for a new colour the coolness gets lost when you open the engine bay! I do have some chips but nothing too bad, a wrap is going to be 1.5K ish? just wondering how long they last and how hard they are to clean, the lives outside so can get a bit filthy and needs a good scrub!

So the zed is 10 years old. 70,000 on the clock, I've owned it for 4 years almost to the day, when I bought it the front bumper had been resprayed to remove the usual stone chip damage, I know where each and every scratch is (biggish on the passenger roof side, rear right bumper etc etc) The car still looks beautiful when clean from a distance and having bought a new house in the last year I'm not sure when I'll be buying a new car that and the fact there's very little on the market that interests me. In fact if I was to get another car I'd be looking at maybe a Maserati GT or a GTR so I'd probably keep the zed around, it's my baby! Anywho with various all round chips and scuffs I wonder if it's worth respraying the whole car and getting it back to factory fresh on the outside. Interior is pretty decent so nothing much there unless I build some tidier seats really. What sort of prices have people paid and does it make a big difference respraying the original (red) or a new colour (eg white)? Guessing a colour change costs more if you want all the fiddly interiors of panels changed etc?

Got these fitted this weekend and loving them! The Carbon has so much depth vs some of the rubbishy stickers you can find. I was initially slightly worried that the fact they were flat and the pillars were slightly curved would cause some issues but the fitted perfectly and didn't require anything special at all. They've a really nice shape and finish and the Nismo Stickers add a little extra. Only downside is I now need more carbon...
