  1. Gimicks are cool! No it's a good point I'd be mildly interested in the default (cheap) one to swap between a sporter feel and a more comfortable one that's all
  2. Tien seem to do a range of active and non active controllers which can alter the stiffness of your shocks from a controller so you can run different presets (or activly) I'm not sure if other maufactures are available and if the motors are widly compatable with other brands (ie Torqen S) It looks kinda cool but given I don't track my car how useful is it? Does anyone run similar setups? I'm building up my suspension shopping list...
  3. My kidneys need swapping (you can just see them in theo photo) what shield are you refering too? The exhaust is only 4-5 years old and is an invidia so that should be fine. I guess your exhaust was gone anyway it's just you only noticed at this point?
  4. These ones? https://www.torqen.u...5451-cd001.html https://www.torqen.u...5452-cd001.html Always in stock, too Stop it! I'm getting married next month and I've already costsed up the front suspension arms off you I guess nobody has those brackets in aftermarket flavour? it does add up a bit
  5. so totally savable?
  6. changing my rear sway bar bushes, the brace is looking pretty sorry. I know some people scrub them up and paint them for protection, I think mines a bit far gone
  7. I'll add this as a guide when I have some time but today I spent around 2 hours adding an anti dazzle mirror to my Z I've looked for posts on this and all I could find was an old post with a cryptic reference to a US guy who swapped in a BMW mirror. Not sure why having read his thread it seemed like a pain!. The Nissan Navara shares many parts with our Z's and as it does come with a mirror that was my starting point, guess what, it's stupidly easy to do this mod! The Navara mirror fits our window mount perfectly, no cutting or hacking required. It requires 3 connections, ground and ignition, the 3rd is optional (reverse) to disable the dimming when reversing. Anyway here are the photos for a few hours work and around £40 it seems like a no brainer to bring a little gizmo to our babys. daylight... darkened..
  8. If it's an early car the flyboy airbox mod is pretty noticable in terms of making the car smoother and feleing better. I was quite surprised the difference it made to be honest for what it is!
  9. Perfect, that's what I was thinking, swap the lot myself on the driveway get it all aligned professionally and good to go
  10. Cheers! I edited my last post after you read it but I've been asking if it's recommended to swap the arms wholesale or press the bushes and replace with PU? The bushes are cheaper overall however the pressing will no doubt cost something from a local friendly garage.
  11. Awesome, is there anything you can't sort? As a stupid question I asked elsewhere, what do you recomend, swapping all the arms wholesale or pressing the bushes and replacing with Poly?
  12. SIlyl question, I'm going to be ordring a few arms and things, I see neither of these guys have the upper front arms, the "U" shaped ones, they all seem to be adjustable. Does this reflect the fact the upper arms just don't wear out or do people tend to press the bushes rather than replace the arms? Just wondering what makes the most sense if I want to sort the whole front suspension out.
  13. The arms all look doable on the driveaway from the vids I've watched, I've done a few arms on missus qashqai and it was mainly freeing the nuts up that caused a problem. Always happy to have a go myself and save some cash, at the end of the day it'll have to be tracked and aligned professionally so it'll all be good
  14. Nice spoiler btw, can't quite work out which one it is
  15. Fitted mine, wow! Admittedly I had said me dried leaves in the airbox but this little thing makes a subtle but enjoyable difference, everything felt smoother and sharper, awesome stuff!
  16. 1.) Kayjay0_7 - Deposit Paid 2.) Olly350z - Deposit Paid 3.) Spike4real - Deposit Paid 4.) Taybo - Deposit Paid 5.) Erni902 - Deposit Paid 6.) Mdmetal - Deposit paid
  17. Yah the hassel of getting them all off then paying a garage to press them seems to be more effort than just swapping the arms. Any new bushes should last 5 years before they soften anyways
  18. I've seen the full poly bushes set, if im replacing all the arms anyway whats left to swap? Or is it better to press the old bushes and replace with new? Looks to be similar prices
  19. Did it work? I gave mine a scrub and I think its just removed the clear layer on the top
  20. So this year my car is going to roll over 100k it's 13 years old too. I repalced the drop links early on when I bought it but the banana arms have clunked for a few years now. The arb bushes have been swapped too. So my question is should I replace the other arms (upper and lower) the steering hasnt felt sharp for awhile now and I'm also pondering if I should replace the shocks/springs and just get everyhting back to new and tight. What do people recommend? Bite the bullet and do the lot of just change the bananas and see how it is. Just dont fancy doing 3-4 seperate jobs and realign etc after each one
  21. Me too It's the plastic/rubber rotting i'd guess
  22. Digging in the manual under the lights section and BCM it does have a 5min shut off. I'm guessing that could I could just add a relay in that effectivly kills the input from the combination switch (stalk) when the ignition is off.
