  1. Would you mind PM'ing me the same links Adrian? Also have a 54 plate and pondering if it's the time to do this job!

The nissan ones are 250 vs 150 arent they? (Each!) If your still not 100% the OEM replacements are just as good, good luck either way

I've put ebay arms on a qashqai but for something more sporty and precise I'd stick to a known quantity!

Not sure what brand thoseare tbh. I got Dorman from Adrian above, or for £10 more each arm you can get Moog not sure what the difference is, both are OEM replacements I understand.

My ball joints weren't great either once I'd got the old ones off so was glad to have swapped the whole lot The rubber boot is starting to let dirt etc in by this age usually. As Adrian says the bushes mean you'll need to take the old arms off, press the bushes and refit. If the garage is doing it all then it might be cheaper but i'd guess its around 2-3 hours labour so the different between paying the garage vs swapping it all yourself isn't great tbh. I just object to paying people to do jobs I can do myself for a lot less, but that's mainly so I can give Adrian and Alex more of my money

+1 I swapped my arms a few weeks ago on my driveway, might look challenging but actually very easy, just a few sockets needed basically!
  7. I'm on 92K with the original clutch I keep thinking "it'll be this year it goes" then it last another year!
  8. Never 100% sure about this kind of useful having the wiper isnt it?
  9. Not to derail the sale thread but I've had several instances of the clutch pedal not returning fully or bumping free after a delay, usually when hot, is it wroth swapping the slave as a precaution? It's not massivly pricey and if it solves the issue great! That said im on 90k with an original clutch so that'll be an issue soon enough!
  10. damn it I already have a huge wish list of parts for you for a 54 plate car will I be looking at the 03-04 clutch slave cylinder? That's the magic part that causes the sticky clutch pedal isn't it? EDIT sorry that would be the master cylinder that has the issue if the pedal isn't springing back I'd imagine!
  11. How much would you want for the rear boot trim (the piece with the rear light in) assuming all it's clips are unbroken?
  12. If they're working at some point then the fuse is fine, you could try disconnecting the battery for 15-30min which will reset a few things in case it got muddled. I ended up buying a 2nd hand dome light when I was trying to fix mine although my issue was the switches responding in different ways.
  13. Oh yes can't wait I've sound deadended the passenger door and waiting for my mirror mod before doing the drivers side stupidly excited for a relativly boring feature hehe
  14. loose wiring! The volume and track selection flickers should work for radio and cd, only the phone pickup and hang up are exclusively bluetooth
  15. nice! It suits the ARK perfectly, I've pondered it but with the invidia its not such a cool sight
  16. Looks like it's in lovely condition, cosmetics are easy to fix I'm forever swapping bits of trim inside and fiddling with things to get it how I want and that's why it's a great car, nothing on it is silly money but you'll have a fantastic time and love it to bits Still loving mine after 7 years! Welcome! Are you north or south of the river?
  17. Although rusty I think that looks pretty standard for most of our cars? I posted up pics of mine awhile back and people shrugged and said it was fine, fix the bits that need fixing thats all. Do any of the replacement w braces contain the points to mount the rear plastic shields that cover that ARB bush area? I didn't really see any last time i stared at a photo
  18. Rotten things aren't good the rest sounds easy enough, discs and bearing can be fixed in a day I swapped out a bearing just a few weeks ago and didn't take too much hassel.
  19. Awesome! The actual bodykit isn't available anymore is it? Do like the front bumper!
  20. My berks have been fine for 5 years, never talked to my tester, never been talked to
  21. Was it me? I passed through mk around that time if it was then hello!
  22. I have mtec and love them was easy enough to pop them on, they look good and response seems the same if not a bit nicer with decent pads
  23. Fitted my dorman ones over the weekend, the result is amazing, I've had the car 6 years or something by now and it's always been clunky. Now it's perfect, instead of heavy metallic clunk clunk all the time I get a nice soft paff paff like a new car Do remember to remove the old seating cones or you'll be emailing Adrian asking why they dont fit properly! (sorry!) I used a bearing puller to remove the two old ones. Removing the subframe is a doddle although it might seem daunting, in fact the only tricky part was getting the nuts off my old arms, in the end I used a grinder but compressing them should work fine too. Very do-able on the driveway with only a few tools allow 2-3 hours if all goes well.
