  1. Ive been outside and pulled on the wheel but it did not do anything :-) Is there any guide that I could use to find out how to remote the steering wheel if needed and what I should be looking for?
  2. I dont have the cradle holder in the cubby. It would be nice but I can live without it. The important thing for now is the stereo controls. So how do I check if my car has the necessary wiring to allow the panel to be installed?
  3. Yep. Thats a blow. Why would they do that? So does that mean I cant get a remote panel for it?
  4. Thats fair enough alex. If it sells soonish that would suit us both I guess. I thought all the wiring behind the scenes would be the same. I guess from what you have said that im wrong about that though. How do I check whether what I need to plug the panel into is in there?
  5. the y-pipe wont make much difference without changing the cats. I have decats and its slightly rattley but nothing annoying at all, silenced decats quieten it a bit, hfc's still give a bit of rattley noise. Thanks for the clarification neil. I dont think I will bother with the y pipe then. I live in an urban area and something making a noise at around 2-3 thousand rpm would probably drive me up the wall so cat changes are out for me! 6. Cheers alex. Do the button panels come off? Would you sell me just the stereo panel - happy to give you my blank panel in exchange so you still have a complete wheel?
  7. I have an 05 uk car with the gt pack but for some reason there are no stereo controls on the steering wheel, only cruise control. What are the options for getting some remote buttons for the stereo on there? Thanks Shinjuku
  8. The choice between expensive high flow cats and rattleing decats though means that I will probably not change the cats. So given that is there any point changing the y pipe or is the cat basically the restraining point of what is left? Cheers Shinjuku
  9. So what is the greater restriction on the de engine. The y pipe or the standard cat. No point changing y pipe if the CAT is still a greater upstream restriction
  10. It looks as though some exhaust systems come with a y pipe and others do not. Is there any need to change the y pipe - ie if you dont it will rust through. Or is it personal choice. If the latter what is the effect of substituting it with a non oe unit. Cheers Shinjuku
  11. Can someone tell me the bolt diameter and threads per inch/diameter of the wheel bolts of the Z? Want to know what locking bolts to buy? Thanks Shinjuku
  12. So where do there stand on the noise level? How do they compare to scorpion, oe, k2, k1 etc?
  13. Thanks mate. Every day is a school day!
  14. And what is their function. To make the exhaust louder or quieter?
  15. Can you see them when it is installed on the car?
  16. Whats with those things above the exit pipe. They look a bit weird.
  17. Seen the US ones on thebay. How well do they suit the UK cars. I assume there are differences otherwise they would not be for the US models? Worth knowing about the service manuals too, although they are probably out of my technical range for most things. Shinjuku
  18. Thanks Chris. Are those not service manuals as opposed to owner's?
  19. Does anyone know where I can get an electronic version of the owner's manual for UK spec "DE" cars. Thanks Shinjuku

    What colour

Everyone seems to have the rays. At first I thought they were nicer but im starting to think the standard fit has a nice clean look. Still 18s though. Am I in a minority of one that they look as good!

    What colour

I think the bright silver may be the way forward. You are right the standard finish is quite dull when I look out of the window compared to the car next to it. I like the anthracite but looking at those pictures I think that unless I was going to try and go with a generally stealthy look it would not work on a black car. The car would end us fading away _ and not in a cool way. Given its a roadster I think stealthy would not look good - better to stick with it being a manly poncemobile! A brighter silver than normal I think it will have to be! Thanks for the responses and pictures Shinjuku

    What colour

I've decided that I quite like the look of the standard 18'' alloys on my 05 reg car. So, I'll get them refurbed rather than buying some Rays or aftermarket wheels. Question is what colour would look good and suit my style. The car is a black roadster. I am not a rude-boy, so probably it needs to be either standard or something fairly subtle. I was wondering if there is a slightly brighter shade of silver that would give a slightly more lifted look to the colour? Or, going the other way an anthracite, but I'm not sure how that would look on a black car against the goldish coloured brembos. Any suggestions (with a pic if its at all possible)? Thanks Shinjuku
