  1. I've just tried a few of this month's offering on my mum's Leon; the Pain Glass Cleaner is very good, the Slick Mist is okay but found it a bit grabby at first but eventually got to grips with it - much preferred the Angel Wax QED though. I also tried the Mint Wheels which I quite liked but the wheels have about an inch worth of Poorboys Wheels Sealant on them from last time I did her car so they weren't particularly dirty after a quick rinse.
  2. No, if you order now you'll get next months. You can "back order" according the FAQ on their website, but I can't see anywhere to do this on the website (I may have missed it though) so you may have to contact them directly to do that - it'll be sent out within 24 hours if you back order so you won't need to wait until the end of April for it.
  3. +1 for 303. Which reminds me, I need some more.
  4. I'm initially impressed, especially for the price. And just in time for the long weekend too, so I'll be trying most (if not all) of it out in the next few days. Cheers for bringing this to my attention.
  5. If only this hadn't been covered eleventy million times recently. Summary; the engine's good for 200,000 miles if maintained well. Buy on condition not on mileage. Thread done.
  6. As an LSP, not really - it's like any wash & wax in one and ends up really streaky. However it does make a great drying aid and/or clay lube.
  7. And mine. Chemical Guys Grime Reaper, Lucas Oil Slick Mist, Juicy Details Mint Wheels, AutoBrite Hellshine Pain Glass Cleaner, Waxybox Clay & Lube, Smartwax Rimwax, Carnauba Wax #006, glass cloth, air freshener and a Creme Egg.
  8. I did have a quick poke around the site, but I don't really use Megs products any more.
  9. According to their Facebook updates, they only had limited numbers of the Angel Wax QED which ran out the same day they announced it, so if you ordered after the 7th March you were too slow for that. Don't know about the Eco Touch Dashboard Protect though.
  10. Yes. The chances are that if you're using reasonable sized/weight spacers (or wheels), any detrimental effects will be negligible.
  11. Bearings, hubs and potentially the axle too depending on the size of the spacers. More likely to cause premature/accelerated wear rather than cause outright damage unless you're adding ridiculous size spacers. As for the handling, you're adding unsprung weight, so they will affect handling... it might not necessarily be a noticeable difference, of course.
  12. Ah two examples. That's ALL the JDM's in the world, after all...
  13. It depends on what you're after really. If durability is the main priority you'll want to look at the nano-sealants (Nanolex, GTechniq, Wolf's, 22PLE, etc) which can last up to a year between applications, but they tend to be considerably more expensive as a result. If cost is an issue Poorboys Wheel Sealant is very cost effective but will only last two or three months between applications. As with paintwork, you'll get much better results (both looks and durability of the LSP) if you clay, decontaminate and cleanse/polish the wheels before applying any coating. I don't mind re-sealing my wheels every few months so I use Poorboys, which I've found to be the best wheel wax of the numerous that I've tried - I've not tried any of the nano-sealants though.
  14. "Just drive this car into that wall, Kev, and tell me if the airbag explodes in your face will you, it's for the MOT".
  15. One of these would do me I think. Fills both the Nissan lump and the V8 requirements.

  17. Admiral refused to insure me this year because of the Nismo exhaust. They insured me last year with the same exhaust declared though. Much like the premium, it seems to depend on what day of the week it is when you call...
  18. Yes, it's just the same as Iron X in terms of use.
  19. I use Wolf's Decon rather than Iron X which is £10 for a litre where I get it from - Envy also sell it at a similar price pre forum discount so it might be worth dropping Tim a PM. I've tried Wolf's back to back with Iron X on my wheels - I did one with Wolf's and one with Iron X, then did a second hit swapping them over - and found no discernible difference between them in terms of performance (neither second hit produced any significant bleeding).

  21. No, especially if it's diluted. It will strip any wax/sealant on the paintwork though.
  22. How would that work on a combine harvester? They go on the road and they don't put there plate on the furthest front point of the vehicle!. Cops would get dizzy trying to look for it! See point 8 on page six of the link I posted. "Agricultural machines" (along with road rollers and work trucks) differ slightly to other vehicles - essentially so long as it's visible from the front and is as vertical as possible, it's fine.
  23. http://www.legislation.gov.uk/uksi/2001/561/pdfs/uksi_20010561_en.pdf Page 6. So long as it's vertical and in plainly visible, you shouldn't have any issues.
