I think you should make a new thread mate.
I can do the 12th Nov fine. Evening, some food: But I'll probably drive off after. Night time hoons aren't so much fun IMHO and there's too many piggybanks around the Ace!
FWIW, There's a superb hand cars wash open next door: Over the rainbow carwash. Should anyone need one. I guaruntee they'll wash the car with more care than you do And I know the owner

PMSL. Cleaning the car isn't quite like making love to a beautiful woman 'apparently'!
Lots of hard work and at the end you feel like someone else could have done a better job?
-
Just in from giving the lady a bit of TLC. Not as much time as I usually spend on her, as she wasn't too bad. Had my usual 5 min stand back and admire session, then back indoors for a cuppa, and as usual I'm one chilled out pony.
Anyone else find it a good de-stress tool, or do I need help.
Must. Not. Make. Obvious. Joke.
Oh, I see several people already did, !

Well if it is then I'm taking it

You can put that up for 8k easilly. Looking at autotrader the lowest GTs are just under 8 and with much higher mileage.
-
ridiculously cheap for an 06.
That's the going rate for a 53/04 GT.
Should be in the 10s.
ALTHOUGH. people are cottoning on to the top rate of tax being 450 on an '06 versus 260 on a '55. Does mean the 06s are less desirable than 05/55 cars now from my experience when hunting for mine?

I have noticed a remarkable number of tailgaters trying to get me to race them when compared to the BM. And I tend to drive above the limit slightly, so it's not as theyre annoyed at going slowly.
This is one negative side affect of driving a performance car personally. Everyone wants to race you.

Very well done mate. Was the car categorised at all before? Or was it clear?
Must have cost you a pretty penny to get all the parts and get the spray done. Still much cheaper than buying one stock? Although.. the condition of yours now would be far above a similar aged Zed..
Nicely done

I had the same issue and had to argue with them that it wasn't an import.
If I put my reg in Compare The Market it says it's a UK car, if I do it in Confused.com it says it's a Fairlady.
Agreed. As such the quotes coming from confused were totally shite. They looked it up and said it was import. But quidco compare and compare the market had it correctly as a UK car.
CTM therefore 300 cheaper from Admiral compared to confused! Very silly
Must be something on the older cars..

It's OPEC not .gov causing the problems.
The price of a barrel is 45% cheaper than it's peak rate and yet petrol prices have not gone down AT ALL.
It's f*cking disgraceful that a group of companies can blatently flout the competitions laws so absolutely, and that no one has the power to do anything about it.
Shell making 7bn profit whilst tax is frozen. Ridiculous. Admittedly we pay alot of duty, but that hasn't dramatically changed recently and yet the fuel costs keep rising and rising. It's OPEC we need to look at. As such only point 3 on that petition is really valid, but feck it - I've signed it anyway. It won't make a difference most likely but getting some press coverage of this issue can't be a bad thing at the very least...

LOL at the crown court bit. Sorry haha..
you couldn't make that up. That is ridiculous.
Mate, give up: Grab yourself a beer and get the footy on or something. It's not your day for car modding

ouch. good luck getting insured again now you've had insurance cancelled on you!

Welcome to the site mate!

I feel sorry for the 1M being put up against such hypercar royalty. The 1M is an absolutely brilliant car for the money but a car with 300 bhp is never going to keep up with the likes of a Z06, IS-F, murc, 458 etc etc...
Could have put the M5 in which would have faired a little better imho (although it'd still get whooped)
Awesome drag race though. SO MUCH money there..

Rear quarters look OK so shouldn't be too much trouble getting insurance to cover it which is the positive
Glad it wasn't too serious...
-
Was under that impression from previous advice received. Just googled. can't verify. Therefore almost certainly wrong. Retracted. Although the limiter / insurance points are valid!

Dear god.. Just tried and failed! The spindle you need to twist is VERY RESISTANT. My pliers weren't good enough, or my puny grip was too puny.
On the plus side the lock nut was very easy to break off, don't see the need for the screwdriver.
The biggest issue with this by far is how akward it is. Trying to push the brake pedal in with my head so I can see up to the U shaped bit.
It's a great guide, I just need better toothed pliers to try it again

I've only had positive comments so far Tis great...

Mate hold out.
I just picked up a UK spec 53 plate GT on 56k miles for 8400 from a dealer. Could well have been 7600-7700 from private sale.
Based on your budget I'd say you should have no troubles finding a UK spec GT pack car rather than going the JDM route.
Cheaper to insure, slightly quicker, not limited to 110.. I'd hold out for a UK spec.

winter tyres and you'll be fine its sub 300 horses we're dealing with.
but summer tyres will be absolutely impossible
-
Mine goes a couple of mm over but never that much!
Same. mm or 2 at the most. Not way off like that.
As long as empty is still just below the red line then I'd say you're fine though. I'd only get nervous if you ran empty whilst it was still reporting a quarter tank!
Slight concern that your clock has been open though for this to be out imho?
-
Need a few bits done.. but 100/hour from nissan is a bit much
anyone know a very well respected independant? I'm prepared to pay full rates if they come well recommended.. but obviously cheaper than main dealer would be preferable!
Cheers
Dave

Yes I've checked that now hence my follow up question
I just don't know what the allowable % RR difference is. do you?
-
7J at the front and 8J at the rear.
So I'm thinking 225/45 is only 5 off on the total height and shouldn't cause an issue with the CC: But the rears will be way out and I'll need to buy replacement rears?
Let me know gents.
If they go on, I'm happy. I just dont want an EML or limp mode situation..
Xenon lights?

afaik: xenons are standard.
bi-xenon means there's two xenon's per side usually meaning full beam also a xenon bulb.
