I bought a 200sx from him a few years ago and it was extremely well tuned (400bhp!) so he definitely knows what he's doing!

yeah keep it and get a little scooter for commuting cheap and cheerful! Drive would be nice for modding if it wasn't shared with my pothead neighbours who come out and talk rubbish to you all the time you're trying to do something! Do most stuff round my dads which has a smaller drive but more tools and less annoying neighbours!

Here's some pics: Needs two new front tyres and probably discs and pads all round, then maybe a service once I check it all over. Th8ink it mgiht still be OK from last one. And then I can start with some mild mods - Wheel spacers first on the list, then maybe tints on rear windows and that maybe it! (famous last words) . Last 5 or 6 cars I’ve had have all been modded a lot so nice to finally have one that feels nice as standard.

(and pay off the overdraft ). Once it's beeen serviced and everythings up to scratch I'll look at slight mods then If for any reason you still have them then I'll give you a shout!

Ah that would have been ironic! you decided on something more economical then? Best I've managed so far in london is 20mpg!

so far, so good! thought I'd miss a turbo but after a few drives and heavy footed moments I don't! Nice to have torque on tap will get some pics up when I get a chance!

yeah is the most I've ever spent on a car and the newest I've ever had! won't be the most powerful but should be the nicest place to be in enjoyed the test drive! I live near Tottenham, where are you waltzinblack?

Never had so much hard work trying to find and buy a car. Toby has helped me lots with various checks and some came up as write offs with extensive damage and some still with finance owing... but been and seen one tonight that is kosher! GM grey, 66K GT pack (without Rays unfortunately) but FSH and good condition...for under £6K! excited semi sleep tonight then tommorow off to the bank when it opens, swap insurance and then jump on the tube to collect and have a nice drive home Needs two new front tyres, rear axle clicks and small lip on the front discs. Exhaust has a small blow but these small things I'll enjoy doing with my dad. Rest seems spot on! canfinally stop obsessively looking for cars all day now! Should have the overdraft paid off easily by Nov payday then will get some spacers, tint the rear windows and get decats, air filter and UpRev. And that will be it well hopefully! will get some pics up when it's home and cleaned

yes for my own peace of mind I'd want to speak to them and pay it off direct. I might *lose* the car anyway now as someone else going up before I can get there but would rather do this than risk thousands of £££. Also questioning the intergrity of the guy and what else he hasn't told me as he kept this quiet so not too bothered! plenty more out there!

Just spoke to him and he said he'd pay off the finance the next day as they would be shut when i went to look.. erm as honest as he might sound I said no. I'll try and go during the hours the finance people are open and pay them direct if the cars any good so i know it's done and then give him any extra. if it sells in the meantime then fair enough! Only thing is now I can't say i trust the guy as he didn't bother telling me this in the first place! hhhmmm thanks for your help again Toby! could have saved me thousands!!!!

pretty sure I've got this straight but a Zed I was going to look at has come back on the HPI check as having outstanding finance (Hire Purchase, 36 months, started June 11) This means it's still owned by the finance company until it's paid off so even if i 'buy it' it won't be mine? If so won't don't these people tell me when i phone them about the car!

My MX5 sold last week so the hunt has begun for a nice Zed. weird with only one car (1.2 Corsa) on one hand but ncie on another as only one to worry about. Won't stay that way for long though if i can help it!

seconded th Virgin BB, got their cable and telephone and ditched the BT landline. fast service and no porblems. Before i could get the cable we used them through the BT phone line and speed was terrible though!

hhhmmm think I'll have to get into BF as haven;t palyed any of them! played all the COD's but don't particularly enoy the online play as it just seems to be these young annoying american kids kicking my arse! Like the Co-op mode of MW2 but rest is OK. sinlge player WAW is great though.

I've had two cars for a couple of years now - ones a 1.2 Corsa I paid £900 on and have spent maybe £400 on parts and then MOT and tax etc... others have been 'fun' cars - Aristo, MX5 (which sold last night!) and now hopefully onto a Zed. The Corsa / shed is useful as it costs about £500 a year to keep on the road (Ins, tax, MOT) so not worth selling. If anything major goes wrong with it it will get scrapped and is good for having four seats and moving stuff around that I can just shove in the back and not worry about scratching interior etc. And then when i drive the fun car it's a treat!
