haha I've heard its a bit grim up norf! yes you do get 100000x times better roads when the sun is out and I get stuck with traffic jammed / speed camered / speed bumped roads that are driveable most of the year but boring I think it's hilarious how London stands still with two flakes of snow but don't mind as I normally get days off work for it one day I would love a driving holiday in Scotland but want guaranteed sun and will have to remember to bring my passport!

Never known a car club where so many people put their cars away for winter! ?? Don't see the point myself unless conditions are really bad ie snow and ice. Don't want to pay out for tax and insurance and then leave the car sitting there? irreplaceable classics maybe but not Zeds? fair enough about gritters but in London that happens for a few weeks a year if we're lucky. Wouldn't lay her up for half a year though? each to their own though! I'll be driving as long as theres not feet of snow which is unlikely in London. Scotland and those frozen northern counties might be a different story though

I actually prefer the standard wheels over the Rays, especially when they're clean! mine have lovely kurbing so a respray might be in line next year

I cycle to work most days but also drive so try to anticipate where the danger could be and avoid it and always treat cars like they could be ready to cut me up at any moment am sure most drivers don't set out to run over / cut up cyclists and cycles aren't the easiest things to see. saw something insteresting on the way to work today, a cyclist had decided to stop in the middle of the road and was shouting at a car behind him (not sure what happened). He was causing a hold up and white van man a few cars back was giving him some stick and everyone was beeping. Cycle man then did some air horn pushing and blew kisses at the cars!! He then proceeded to cycle in the middle of the road slowly still holding up traffic. Not sure what happened then as i cycled off in the other direction. Sure Mr White van man gave him some stick later. Whole thing was stupid and even if the cyclist had been 'wronged' he would have deserved a good punch!
