dude as have been said get a bike. i cycle to work most days (3.5miles and takes me 20 minutes) Spent £400 on the bike a year and a half ago and paid itself in saved bus fares / petrol many times over. Is also quite fun and nice to stay slightly fitter. And whe I do drive enjoy it even more

had a vague look in there with a torch but couldn't see anything obvious dangling or taped up. Need to summon the strength to get it all out and crouch at an uncomfortable angle while looking for it. Quite tempted to get one of these D1 anyway so it gives me incentive to get it sorted!

I've been flashed 4 or 5 times over my Driving life and never heard anything. Do take it easy on the M25 though as variable speed and gantry cameras.

Hope this hasn't been asked before.... swapping to new discs and pads tommorow and living in London means I won't get to bed them in for a couple of days (trip to bournemouth planned). In the mean time, before they're bedded in via the procedure any tips? ie drive slow, pulse brakes, avoid sharp stops or just as normal until i get the change to do it properly? thanks, Michael

for under £25 i just bought a dial indicator gauge and arm off Ebay to check it properly. Check the runout on just the hub once old discs are off and before fitting the new discs, if that's off then the hub has issues, if not then check it on the new discs once theyre on. if out of limits a use a combination of cleaning the hub / disc / rotating the discs til it's within acceptable limits.... that's my plan for tommorow! I think if you just put them on and wait for judder you can ruin them so better to get them on straight in the first place.

worth (visually) checking the bushes on the front suspension as well - my front banana arm / compression bush was knackered and after replacing feels better.

I rememer seeing somewhere that there's a mic somewhere in the cabin that detects cabin noise and i guess adjusts volume accordingly? might be worth looking for that and pulling it out! the 350Z is the most expensive car I've had to insure as well (more than a 400bhp 200SX, turboed MX5, 2JZ GTE Aristo) and the Zed isn't even tuned so count yourself lucky that you've got a good deal!
