  1. Sorry, 187k on 04 187k :o how does it feel after that many miles? that's three times the mileage of my car!
  2. probably be able to swap with someone i'd have thought, what induction kit is it?
  3. mines 63k on a 53 plate. wheres Beavis when you need him?
  4. Just a little one from me... how much for the aerial base? Thanks!
  5. Fairlady, although that's because I don't like to see imports masquerading as UK cars. if its an import its a Fairlady Z, not a 350z.
  6. do you have any ventilation bricks or otherwise, or is it literally just a sealed box? if its totally sealed, you'll definitely need a dehumidifier. however most garages normally have some kind of ventilation which is adequate to keep the air fresh.
  7. hmmm actually, I've changed to the other Italian girl... after all, shes the same age as me and she's even easier on the eye! is this perhaps why there aren't many women in motorsport I wonder...
  8. hmmmm, that attractive british lass from Guildford I thinks be getting my vote!
  9. Well, if someone gave me £6000 and said buy a car with it, i'd still buy a zed. However, if someone absolutely said I couldn't have a zed, i'd probably save up/take a loan out on a 2005 BMW M6... the one with the 5 litre V10
  10. Sounds like the perfect drive for a zed if i'm honest, long distance cruising it does very well. Need to drive up to Scotland again, some cracking roads and scenery. Been over two years since I was there last!
  11. the Supra will be faster when its working properly, which will only be some of the time. The 350z will be slower, but will work all the time. 350z will also be a lot less thirsty. If it will be your only car, the 350z. if its just a weekend car, the Supra.
  12. i got offered a number that ended 007 666... but turned it down as i'd already had my existing number for ages, didnt want to try and tell everyone i'd changed it!
  13. 2 and a half years for me so far, hoping to keep it a long longer as well
  14. Have a great time out there, stay safe on the hairpins, try not to cook the brakes!
  15. oh and a Scottish hoon would definitely be something I would be interested in... even staying relatively close to Glasgow and Edinburgh the roads are epic, could either do a drive out starting and finishing in Glasgow say for 3-4 days, or maybe make base at fort William and go north, south, east and west from there for 4 days. Would only cost two tanks of petrol more than the wales trip would.
  16. you cant get rid of wales, its an institution and the great numbers each year are testament to that. Plus its such a great location, central enough that almost the whole country can get to it easily. However, I can imagine the location would get a bit samey... why not keep wales every year, but rotate the locations? theres some great driving roads on the Shropshire borders, or further south in the Brecon beacons. Doesn't have to be the same hotel and the same roads in Snowdonia every time. As for bigger/European trips the cost will put a lot of people off, but then a euro trip wouldn't work with 60 cars anyway, so I don't see the problem. Would love to do a forum trip to Le Mans though, since that's something that could work really well with a convoy of 15-20 cars heading down and watching the race.
  17. hmmm, seems me and Bennett share the same dreams... slightly freaky... since a Porsche GT3 and RS6 rated high on my list as well! but my top picks would be: ... for when the suns shining... ...for when its not. ...for tight twisty circuits... ... for the faster more open ones. Plus a car transporter for the pagani, and then a Mercedes S63 AMG for when someone else is doing the driving!
  18. Ah Ferrari drivers eh! rarely do I see supercars on track going quickly round corners... they're fast on the straights yes, but most are driven by fools who have no confidence to drive quickly through corners. So far I remember the beemer catching up such cars as a Aston Martin DBS, McLaren MP4-12C, and a Mercedes SLS AMG, all because they're pootling through the corners. personally I've got no problem letting through the smaller cutesy stuff... caterhams and clio race cars, they're like flies, get very annoying very quickly! far better to let them through quickly before the try a lunge up the inside
  19. I'm using 6th from anywher much above 45 if I'm just cruising. Of course if you need to overtake then 3rd or 4th is better!
  20. could just be a typo... Japanese turns into japanees so easily... calling it 'spelling fail of the year' is a bit strong!
  21. my view is that you'd never need to turn the ESP off on the road, as you should never be pushing hard enough to notice an improvement by turning it off. if the esp light is flashing during road driving, you're pushing too hard for public roads, or your tyres need changing. On a track its a different story, but on the road keep the ESP on - why would you want to be kicking the back out on public roads?
  22. i've been using a cassette adapter for the best part of 2 years now - no real complaints from me, certainly worth a fiver to have some music back in the car.
  23.  that is hilarious... some chancer is clearly ripping off the good name of D1 Spec, and is essentially trying to sell a 2pence LED for £13
  24. +1 for GT85... plus it smells chuffing gorgeous!
  25. mine does the same, three pennies in each spring sorted it right out, one touch and lift. however, if its cold or the boot has water on it, the struts don't always hold it up...
