  2. 300bhp per tonne... holy moley that'd be a bit rapido then! you'll have no problems getting past pesky Ferraris...
  3. probably once every couple of months in fairness. but i generally can feel if the pressure is even a bit down, rear feels quite strange quite quickly.
  4. stick to 70mph and you'll get 33mpg id say. big difference between travelling at 70 and travelling at 80 in terms of economy. also as for driving on the continent, keep repeating "give way to the left, stay on the right" to yourself at any junction!
  5. high mileage import it is at that price, or could maybe consider a cat d depending on what he plans to do with it.
  6. watch out tho, there will be much fiery death for anyone who runs RE040s, which is what these have...
  7. safe as houses in that spot I think! and the jag on the end isn't bad either
  8. supercharge it. properly. and with the change some MPSSs, eibach ARBs and decent brakes.
  9. welcome to the forum! haven't heard about any tyre feathering issues on older cars, just make sure the wheels are all aligned properly and don't run silly camber and you'll be fine.
  10. alrighty, my money is on StevoD, in both percentage terms and absolute terms. starting at 18st the weight will come off easy, but starting at 13st theres not a lot else to come off.
  11. two things I need to know... firstly, starting weights of both of you, and secondly, are you measuring absolute values, or a percentage of the starting weight?
  12. it'll quieten down as it cokes up inside... mine was pretty droney at first but has settled down now, at a steady 70-80 the exhaust is pretty much silent.
  13. how averse are you to a bit of fabrication work? Theres a DC sports exhaust up for cheap on ebay right now, but would need an exhaust place to make a few connecting pipes between Cats and backbox. http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/88666-cheap-dc-sports-true-dual-exhaust/
  14. It looks to me like the backbox is a genuine part (stamped with DC Sports on tailpipes), but the midpipes are fabricated. I'd say its still worth £200 just for the backbox and decat pipes, i'd then just take it to an exhaust fabricator and ask them to link the two with dual midpipes and build in a crossover, simples.
  15. we've got a bmw 330ci, to replace the bmw 328i that Ken parked enthusiastically!
  16. had my zed 2 years and only turned it off twice... once when it was snowing and I was going nowhere with it on, and once to do a smoky burnout to impress some mates from work other than that it never gets turned off on the road... if I ever take it to a track though i'll turn it off. the track car on the other hand, I think i'll pull the DSC fuse so its always off!
  17. yeah it doesn't look to come with a y pipe... to be honest i'd take it to an exhaust fabricator and ask them to fill in the gaps - I also think it would work better with some kind of crossover X pipe put in.
  18. The trackday is £199, sound limits at Bedford are 101dB static, 87.5dB drive by. However they have zero tolerance if you break a noise meter on track, so make sure you're comfortably under.
  19. Apologies to anyone else who found this and is hoping to get it cheap, but since its a buy it now anyone who wanted it would have bought it already. Looks to be a pretty good nick DC Sports True Dual exhaust and Decat pipes, all for under £200. I'd buy it myself but still pretty happy with my Cobra system. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/350z-DCsports-exhaust-/321475294120?&_trksid=p2056016.l4276 hopefully someone on here can make good use of it!
  20. yep looking forward to this! seems like ages since we were last on track, and want to see what an extra 40 horses feels like
