  1. Well that was an eventful day... started very cold, and very damp... not good for a rear wheel drive BMW. got started about 11am, traction control firmly on, was kicking in on the pit exit and then the light was blinking most of the lap! started to get a little drier around 1pm, made the mistake of deciding to do some laps with TCS all off since it was noticably cutting power. didnt go so well... Skip to 2:35 and 3:15 for the interesting bits... to be honest i dont know what happened, happened so fast i didnt have a chance to catch it. i'll put it down to oil on the track, definitely not the 90% worn landsail tyre on the rear right however a dry line did start to form my mid afternoon, so did get a few decent laps in! will post another video when its uploaded.
  2. crikey moses that thing looks fast! i think i'd have to work up the courage just to sit in the passenger seat, cant imagine what its like driving it. but we'll organise a big get together in the summer at bedford or somewhere, and on nice warm slicks on a good fast track that thing will fly.
  3. ... i'm going to have a lie down...
  4. Not sure she's going to be a sleeper to be honest. 19" Super Concave Rims 8/6 Pot Candy Apple Red BBK BodyKit Slight Tint windows. Hmmmmm I'm going to mail DVLA see what comes of that, then make a decision on one of the suggestion in the thread. Oh and thanks to all who have contributed. I'm no good at plate design lol well, ok not a sleeper, but it'll show a clean pair of heels to most other zeds on the road. And personalised licence plates are all about being in the know, very few people will know that LS3 refers to the engine!
  5. my fav is still LS03 ZZZ, its got LS3, its got Z's and it'll be an awesome sleeper!
  6. actually I would like to know who has the most 'likes' on the forum (I have 370), but couldn't see a way of searching for that?
  7. New track tyres and maybe some cheapy coilovers. though they aren't for the zed!
  8. aww still on a lowly page 6... still, out of a total of 797 pages, I guess page 6 isn't that bad!
  9. nice one folks, that's my fiancé's Christmas present sorted - she's always said her car could do with a bit more power, will get her a few of these. She's so lucky she has me
  10. cheeky sod! Banbury and Coventry avoid like the plague but Leamington is lovely.
  11. im sure it says alarm on it. mine had completely come loose and was rolling around on the metal floor, most annoying. sorted it out, but the rattle from my boot interior area is still there, going to try this next: http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/89804-metallic-knocking-from-rear/
  12. indeed, stick to the posh bits round Oxfordshire and the Cotswolds and we'll be fine!
  13. result! who wouldn't want to see this again!
  14. thank goodness he posted so many identical pictures of it, i needed to make sure my eyes weren't deceiving me!
  15. tell you what, you drive my car (53 plate, 66k, only mod is a cat back exhaust) and i'll drive yours (same year, similar mileage, except all the mods and uprev) and i'll tell you if it honestly feels any different!
  16. you had me going there for a minute, well played!
  17. this is my thinking... a lot of money for not a lot of gains in numbers - certainly not enough to feel them. the only way I could be persuaded is to drive cars with and without uprevs back to back to compare them - then you might be able to feel a difference. personally if I ever want to improve the throttle response in the first few gears i'll go down the throttle controller route, for a quarter of the price of an uprev.
  18. do herbies still do the Rooster? winning combination of Chinese chicken, BBQ chicken, Chicken Tikka and plain roast chicken... amazing
  19. you're a brave man for choosing pizza from a kebab place! wouldn't trust them to sit well on the stomach personally. for me i'd be happy with any of Herbies, Papajohns, Dominos or Pizza Hut for delivery, but can't get herbies up here, so that's out. the other three we usually pick based on who has the best deals at the time - although my fiancé does like the cheesy bites on a pizza hut. problem with most takeaway places is you can get a bad pizza from time to time - either was in the oven slightly too long, the doughs gone a bit funny, some numpty did the toppings etc... as you can imagine staff turnover in franchises is huge, and some kids are better than others at making pizza! what about pizza express? always my preferred choice for going out, since pizza hut lunchtime buffet is hard to get when you work 9-5!
  20. yup... sure Will will be along in a minute with the thread and details of the UK recall.
  21. For gods sake do NOT mix drinks, your handling will be all over the place
  22. Best of luck with the engine swap, a few hours in a garage should see you right as rain. are you doing anything with the clutch and flywheel while the engine is out? if the original is past 60,000 miles it might be worth doing while the engine is out?
