  1. other things to consider... where do you actually work?!? that normally dictates where people live... who do you like to visit? proximity to family and friends is often quite important. where do you like to go on holiday? and lastly, the weather is often better down south - a lot less snow, and often less rain and wind.
  2. just a point... it looks like the swirl on the rear wheels is going the opposite way to the swirl on the front wheels... do you have a side on shot to compare front and rear wheels?
  3. I wouldn't say it isn't worth it - just be sure you know what it does before forking out any hard earned cash. if you want any extra power at WOT then no, it wont change anything - to make more power you need an uprev. the throttle controller simply intercepts the signal from the pedal to the ecu - so if you want a more responsive pedal/throttle connection then yes, i'd say it was worth it. alternatively, you could just press the pedal harder in the first 3 gears...
  4. are you dead set on LMGT4s? cos you could always get the correct size 18" or 19" ROTA Grids or GTRs in the correct offset to start with, and then get some nismo decals for a fiver to complete the look if so desired. Its what I did with my old white Rota GTRs...
  5. ah well I don't think you're in luck - the lead actress Dakota Johnson isn't really famous yet - i'd never heard of her!
  6. Silver! Such beautiful wheels need to sparkle, along with the sparkle in the paint
  7. ^ you know that's all readily available on the old tinterweb?!? or were you hoping to see it projected onto a 80ft screen?
  8. last chance bump! still spaces left, weather forecast looking alright at this early stage.
  9. 17" LMGT4s?!?! Link? whats the reasoning behind going for 17s? also yes, the fronts are narrower than standard with a pretty weak offset, they'll be completely lost under the arches - could run them with a 25mm spacer! the rears are the same width as standard rays wheels, but again with a weaker offset - would need 10mm to get back to standard, or 20mm plus to match the fronts.
  10. Ahem... the new ford gt has dropped capacity by nearly two litres... and Ferrari have got smaller, and turboed!
  11. come on leonk, we need updates! i'm expecting drivel as well, but would be interested to hear the opinion of a guy who's actually seen it.
  12. tricky decision - I really like the i8 - think it looks great, and the tech is moving in the right direction, but I would probably have more fun right now in the M3. As said on the show, the M3 is about as good as internal combustion engines get, but the i8 is still very early days in terms of performance hybrid technology.
  13. wait, so you mean keeping the standard exhaust tips in the same place, but then adding a third larger pipe in the middle where the mesh is? yes, that would look terrible. however if you did a single exit exhaust through the middle (either 3 separate tips like the Ferrari F40, or one massive trapezoidal one, like a lambo aventador) and then modified the bumber so there was no evidence of the old exhaust cutouts, I think that would be ok. Anyone fancy photoshopping the below image so we can see what it might look like with one big central exhaust, and none at the sides? or both?
  14. Margot Robbie has also made the top 5 list of Top Gear's hottest celebrity guests... which to me is now: 1. Sienna Miller 2. Rachel Riley 3. Amber Heard 4. Margot Robbie 5. Amy MacDonald
  15. Haha sorry I know its only a typo but it made me chuckle! Anyways, welcome to the forum - best of luck with the car search - a white convertible might be quite hard to find! you may need to get a cheap silver one and get it wrapped.
  16. yep good episode, that AMG GT really does look rather nice, and it looked so composed round the track, quite unlike AMGs of old. And Clarkson did a decent review on the i8 - with a worthy comparison to the new M3. All in all a good entirely car based top gear! and that new film with Margot and Will Smith sounds interesting... although have to see if there is any on screen chemistry, cos in the interview they were as different as chalk and cheese!
  17. I think that's a pretty cool plate! surely theres a drifter out there who could make this work! although unlikely a drift car would be newer than an 11 plate!
  18. Grammar - the difference between knowing your @*!#, and knowing you're @*!#.
  19. I say if you want to do it, go for it. technically two exhaust tips is unnecessary since a 350z can run perfectly fine with a single exit. Although just having a central exhaust on a zed would be different, so maybe just do that!
  20. Might be asking a bit much... When I had my exhaust replaced with a cobra system I left the old exhaust at the garage! Might be able to get rid of it if its free, or maybe beer money!
  21. what kind of quotes were you expecting, having zero years driving experience trying to insure a car that can do 0-60 in 6 seconds?!?
  22. its not the power of the car that's the problem, its the person behind the wheel - a 1.0 corsa is still perfectly capable of doing 50 through a town centre, or 80mph down a country road and through a hedge. we all want powerful cars for our first cars and its often not the cost of the car that's the problem, but the insurance - which should really be factored into the asking price. To the OP, try all the usual comparison sites do the leg work and make lots of phone calls - I suspect admiral will come out cheapest, certainly were for me when I moved up to decent cars.
