  1. potentially looking at a few weekend Bedford autodrome dates in the near future if you're interested - although make sure your silencing is sorted before attempting noise test at Bedford!
  2. yeah, i think they massively overestimated their celebrities' abilities... i've been driving rwd cars a while now and fairly happy with car control, but let me tell you holding a drift round a second gear corner in the wet is not easy at all! they should have started them off trying to do figure of 8s or drifting round cones, not on a corner with very little run off before you're in the tyres!
  3. YESSS winning! looking smart mate!
  4. leverage is the key, breaker bar, with a three foot scaffolding pole on the end oughta do it! also who last changed the wheels? maybe dont use them again...
  5. Hmmm was hoping it wasn't going to be the two Mercedes out in front by some margin in free practice, but I guess its to be expected... good to see that Ferrari are setting good pace though. There might even be a three team scrap for 2nd place in the constructors' this year between Ferrari, Williams and redbull. but whoop for F1 starting again! are the cars louder this year?
  6. when we take our beemer out the spare wheels, trolley jack, pump and wheel spanner all live in the boot, so we're never without them. in addition to that going forwards will be a few litres of water, and a few litres of oil
  7. assuming all is well with the chassis, either the rear bumper or the boot wasn't put back on straight when it was wrapped.. could well just need adjusting. Or the chassis could be slightly warped... but hopefully its the former! just find out what the actual damage was to the car, I suspect its misaligned from when it was wrapped. as I say, the shut lines between rear bumper and rear quarter panels look spot on, so it might just be the bootlid needs a bit of adjustment.
  8. is Best Motoring still going? haven't watched any of them for a while, is there a youtube channel with English subs?
  9. I must say, I really like the design of these jacks. saw drifters using them on the rear diff, one operation and done, car is in the air. really looking forward to seeing the radical in action this summer!
  10. i'll be honest, I think it looks like a good car... the shut lines around the bumpers and doors look good, the only areas that look slightly suspect to me are the shut lines on the bonnet and boot, but it could be nothing, and that's me looking for faults. as I say, find out exactly why its a cat d - the fact the airbags didn't go off is a good sign that it wasn't a big shunt (if indeed there even was a shunt). all the best for Monday, hope it works out!
  11. thanks for the heads up! will get these on the download, didn't realise there was new fifth gear to watch!
  12. same one just spotted going in the opposite direction at 8am this morning lol i'm not stalking you, honest! think the reg was ND03 xxx.
  13. agreed, a cat D isn't so bad, i'm pretty sure keying three panels will write a car off in some cases. get damage report, find out exactly why its a Cat D, find out which garage did the repair work, before and after pics, and get someone to inspect the car before you buy. Just be aware if its a cat D you'll be buying cheap and selling cheap, but if you don't ever plan on selling, you could be on to a good deal.
  14. bridgestones at the rear - get some on the front! http://www.tyreleader.co.uk/car-tyres/bridgestone/potenza-s001/225-45-r18-95y-190136
  15. yeah, halfarsed do some good body filler stuff if needs be, I resprayed panels on our track BMW, pretty straightforward.
  16. why do you want an unused airfield anyways?
  17. how long did jonathan wossy get suspended for? admittedly punching someone in the face is worse than making prank calls, but then again, Clarkson is probably worth more to the BBC than wossy is.
  18. he'll be very very sorry. he'll be let off. service will resume as normal. although if he did actually punch someone, something like a mahoosive fine and maybe suspended for 3 months without pay might be appropriate.
  19. Was looking for one for ages, but one day I was driving round the suburbs when I saw one. Parked my bus across three lanes of traffic to make the driver stop - hopped out the bus, and jumped into the passenger seat of the zed. The owner ran off screaming. I uzi'd her out the window. Started driving round in my new car, then suddenly zeds were appearing everywhere! Saw one in a better colour, so ditched my current one off a cliff and hopped in the new one. I now have numerous zeds, spread in lock ups across the city.
  20. on here - seller contacted me to say he had the car I was looking for, and he was 3 miles up the road. Easiest car purchase ever.
  21. great reactions, and yes what the heck was the car doing stopped in the middle of the road, but.... i cant help but think they were perhaps going a tad too fast... call me a spoilsport, but there could be anything around the corner.... for example, a biker whos fallen off and lying in the middle of the road, like he nearly was!
  22. Just caught a glimpse of someone at the queensway/tachbrook street crossroads, about 5:30. looked to be a silver zed, square numberplate on the back. I know there have been a few new Leamington Spa members recently, was this one of them?
  23. wow that's good going! think its the 7years NCB working in your favour here! plus 370s are still rather pricey, thus probably being bought by safer older drivers (with you being the exception!)
  24. I've been fairly bored all day, that's why im continually posting in a thread about top gear... this story is the most interesting thing to happen to me today lol
  25. likely to be belt tensioners, mine squeals when cold and wet, but goes away when it warms up a bit. might get the tension looked at, since the belts themselves aren't that old.
