  1. Sounds good, but hes clearly granny shifting, not double-clutching like you should, yo. thats some leisurely gearchanges On a serious note... racing Lamborghini V10s sound just like this! I'm off to go watch Blancpain Super Trofeo races on youtube
  2. so no silverstone grey? where did that come from, always thought it sounded cool...
  3. Yeah good work! You'll have a good time at Cadwell, really excellent track, good mix of corners and gradients, but quite narrow in places. build up the speed gradualy, some of the corners can bite
  4. good work! If the west mids track day doesnt happen, i'll be off to blyton to finish off my rears! Any pics from the day?
  5. the curves in both the top two graphs look the same to me so what makes a 911 feel a lot faster than a 350Z? also, what do the numbers up the side mean? i'm guessing the numbers on the bottom are the gear, but neither axis is labelled...
  6. ah, my mistake! Really must get down to Le Mans next year, looks crazy!
  7. i'll believe it when its happened!
  8. Probably a repost, but judging by the fact that it has only 62,000 views in three years, it doesnt seem to be very well known... I hadnt heard of it before so thought i'd watch it and its definitely worth an hour and half of your life! Tells the story of Audi's 2008 Le Mans campaign, the last for the R10 TDI. Some good interviews with the whole team, behind the scenes pit garage footage, and a very cinematic if a little OTT soundtrack. Shows the effort that goes into making a winning race team at Le Mans. And they even somehow got Jason Statham to narrate it! To get a flavour for it, heres the trailer... And then the link to the full 90minute film (in 720p HD ) Theres a sequel about the Audi 2010 campaign, which is tomorrow nights viewing
  9. 3rd at 30mph on the dot... however if i'm in a 30 zone, i normally do 32mph, in which case 4th as for 5th and 6th, 5th comes in about 45mph, and 6th is normally reserved for speeds 60mph and above -i find being in high gears at lower speeds is incredibly unresponsive, so try to cruise between 2k and 3k on the tacho.
  10. In celebration of Nurburgring 24hrs... a 24hr watch anyone?
  11. we need more pics! Looks like you had a good one though! an MPG of 28.1 seems very reasonable given you did autobahning and laps of the ring in that!
  12. As far as i know, a zeds clutch is good for anout 60k if driven well - how many miles has yours done?
  13. Nice, thought they seemed good and grippy through the bends! Im glad for your sake the rain did hold off - i was there about a year ago in a 328i with on and off rain throughout the day... had a big moment going through the gooseneck when i didnt think i'd get the car slowed, and then had a massive tankslapper on the exit of mansfield as we just went sideways! in my defence it was on pirelli p6000s and a badly set up car
  14. spain are looking a bit good at the moment - my hot picks at the mo are Spain and Russia with the form they showed the other day against Poland, who i also thought looked good. But COME ON ENGLAND! for tonights game, we need a result!
  15. Top work mesmerising stuff! was that on standard road tyres or trackday specials? and then same question to the other two contestants please? Also looks like you found the only day so far this summer it hasnt been raining - bet that was a relief!
  16. how many miles has the cosworth panel filter done? Although saying that, i really shouldnt as im feeling rather spanish this month!
  17. Hmm, seems a bit steep IMO, for an 03 import i'd be thinking around a £5500 mark. See if he'll knock some money off for you if he keeps the horrible wheels, and if it has been tracked you'd want to see evidence of regular oil changes, brake fluid changes, brake pads and tyres... Even though the bumper and the exhaust would be a bonus for me, i'd probably avoid due to the blatant track use and uncertainty that comes with it.
  18. hes getting more and more human every visit! I'll have to think of something good for him to do when i get him through in a few weeks time!
  19. I have a stock car, and after driving it a while, i'm actually under the impression that i'd love a charged zed - for the weight of the car, it needs around 400bhp i'd say, not the 280 it has from factory. and you can use any car to its full potential on the road IMO, if you're cruising on a motorway in 6th and you floor it, you're using your cars full 270lbft of torque, which is why you accelerate somewhat faster than the cars around you!
  20. well, id start on the value of the base car, which unfortunately isnt that much, but you knew that anyways... unfortunately the value of a lot of those parts secondhand isnt that much really... so i'd say £5000 for the car, plus a another £2000 for the mods, about £7000 maybe £8000 tops as Sarnie says the most likely buyer will be someone who wants a 'charged zed without the expense of building it themselves, but similarly any potential buyer would have to trust that the work that had been done was of a high quality and will be reliable. do you have all the history accompanying the build and the service schedule it will have had following the conversion?
  21. Spain were storming at the worlds, so i'll go for them. I just hope England qualifies, we're about to have our ass handed to us on a plate when we play France on monday!
  22. ahem... you can preview a post before submitting it... to check it is working! also i've just realised a picture can only be 1024 by 1024 max, whereas that url links to a bigger picture size than that.
  23. Good god that is super shiny! thats got a better image than i get in my mirror at home!
  24. slightly back on top, where are you stew with an update!
