  1. tsk, the legit amongst us are going to use serious posts to get our numbers up to 1000... even if that means posting in such topics as this...
  2. haha wow well its certainly worth more than the zed is! hope you werent planning any long distance cruises, the zed will probably go 4 times further on a tank than that will!
  3. Use the Will They Fit website. If i remember correctly the standard zed rims are 225/45 R18 8J ET+33 on the front, and 245/45 R18 8.5J ET+30 on the rear. However its commonly agreed that the standard rims look better when spaced out by 20mm front and 25 rear, effectively making them +13 and +5. Hope this helps
  4. Welcome to the forum! Seen you address and there are two other members in Shanklin... and reading it it seems they're keen for IOW meets!
  5. AFAIK you can rent them on the day if required, £10 if memory serves. I'll be bringing mine down for passenger rides - everyone on track needs a lid of some description. Mine was a just a cheapo lid of fleabay, bout £40 i think.
  6. 5 more to go! 'with' is narrowly edging out 'without' at the final furlong!
  7. i always find a bit of degreaser like some WD-40 does the trick?
  8. How long is a piece of string? Tyre wear will depend on: how you drive what roads you drive on what tyres you have fitted! If you have rock solid linglongs fitted and do mainly motorways at 60mph, one set of tyres will probably do several years. if however, you have a penchant for drift days, that same set of tyres will last about 10 minutes. As for costs - well, if you get budget tyres, perhaps as cheap as £300 for all 4 - if you want decent tread, probably factor around £800. More if you have wider tyres or larger diameter rims.
  9. Yep its come on leaps and bounds in the last few years - I would say that their newest ride the Swarm is possibly now the best rollercoaster in the UK, it really is very good! plus its backed up by Nemesis Inferno, Colossus, Stealth and Saw so its certainly got speed and g's covered!
  10. Nice i think that the difference is obvious when with the valve closed, you can only really hear the car once its driven past, but with the valve open you can hear it a quarter mile down the road in both directions! Any chance of some in car footage? just find a nice bit of road and run it once with the valve closed and then again when open!
  11. Mmmm, i do wish you could get a replica JGTC kit for the zed... looks so mean with the wide arches and vented bonnet!
  12. After a spot of lunch we went to chill out in the sun in Amity cove... I found a lovely little spot amongst the reeds to have a snooze in the sun. Uh Oh... Suddenly i decided that might not be the best spot to catch 40 winks! After i wrung out my fur from that downpour, i thought it best to stick with Brillo. He seems like a sensible chap, after all, whats the worst that could happen? After Amity Cove, it was off to Stealth to cool off. That thing is biiig! I wouldnt want to be the person who has to go up the top for maintenance! Thankfully i was safely strapped in and the ride went off without a hitch - 0-80mph is unreal - now i like a fast car, but this is insane! it was all over in just 19 seconds! The girls werent feeling too good at this point so we left them and went to visit Jigsaw... not something i'd normally do by choice! Thankfully we managed to escape his clutches and made it out alive - although we came awfully close to those razorblades! All in all we had a very good day! The sun was shining all day and we went on all the big rides. Im exhausted! I dont have the longest legs and i was on my feet all day, im pooped! Thats all from me for now, will update you with more travels soon! Zedley
  13. Howdy folks! Another update from little old me... had a chilled week for me but then today it was down to Thorpe Park for some rollercoasters! Here is my chaperone for the 80mile trip down there - lovely cruise controlled, air conditioned comfort, even managed 33mpg before the traffic on the A404(M) put a stop to that. Good to see that Brillo is proud to be a 350z-uk member - more freebies for that man, hes a top bloke! We got to the park nice and early, but first thing we did when we got in was... go sit down and have a coffee! Well, the ladies in the group have to get their caffeine fix! With so much to do, we weren't really sure where to start... best consult the map! First ride of the day was two rounds on the rapids, followed by Nemesis Inferno. Got a little damp on the rapids, but soon dried out, what with being in an active volcano and all. Despite being a monkey I dont always have a head for heights - you'll not catch me going on Colossus! I fancied a go on Rush and Vortex - fancied a nice swing in the trees! However, i'm not sure on the safety of these restraints... i think i might fall out! However Brillo had a little word with the attendants and we were ok! After that it was off to the new ride, Swarm. Looks like something big went down... theres a grounded plane, upturned ambulance, helicopter, and a fire engine, that was apparently still on fire! And to top it all off there was some freaky alien creature swooping down and snatching people right off the pavement! Frankly, the shock of it all was too much for me - had to have a little lie down. Thankfully someone had provided a stretcher for me! Thankfully Brillo revived me with a sugary bananary snack - more to follow!
  14. Random bit of fun, what 350Z (or 370Z) toys and trinkets are there out there? Post pics of what you've got lying around, can be anything as long as its zed shaped I'll start... GF got me a lovely Ultra Yellow Zed remote control car... clearly a Nismo edition, its got the bumper, skirts, spats and spoiler, and lovely Nismo rims
  15. had a zed 8 months now and havent posted in here! Must rectify... totally standard at the mo, bar a stubby aerial
  16. Zedley has made it here safely, thanks Vik! over to the man himself... Well i arrived here safely yesterday morning, and fair play Brillo immediately got me set up with a sweet set of wheels to get around on - gotta love the ultra yellow! Although i think the throttle has been mapped a bit aggressively... seems to be very on/off, makes the ride a bit jerky! First weekend here and its just been a chilled out affair - just been watching the Grand Prix at my favourite track - makes me feel at home with the racing through the forests! I wont spoil it if you havent seen it yet, but a very good race, a lot of action right from the off. Brillo has a few things planned with my time here - but generally going to be having a chilled out time and getting some rest and relaxation in! All the best for now
  17. blimey thats cheap! almost makes me tempted to get a 306 GTI6 for the track when you can get tires that cheap!
  18. hahahaha i like at the end one of them gets out, clearly hes thinking 'Christ that was mental, but i think im gonna go have a lie down now before i chunder everywhere...'
  19. Looking good, looks like you had a good day for it and were having a blast before your belts let go. Very much looking forward to being down there in three weeks time Looks to be a nice mix of machinery down there as well, im a real fan of the OPL format at these days, the variety of cars you get is astonishing, although the caterhams and elises are favourites! Did the R8 and GTR i see do any hot laps? Also the cameraderie is great at airfield days, when i was going on airfield days everyone was more than happy to have a chat and offer a ride - good to get a group of like minded enthusiasts together who are often ken to show off their rides, and it means you can ride in some cars you would never otherwise get a go in - if you've never been in a caterham at full chat, its an experience not to be forgotten!
  20. Looks like you guys were having a blast! Once you get out on track you seriously get the bug... although my advice to you is not to take out your pride and joy, get yourself a nice cheap ebay special and razz that around - also saves you on insurance as if you break it, just buy another. All being well and good i'll be able to save up a grand or two by spring next year and then can splash out a dedicated track car
  21. 225s on a 10" Rim!?! someone alert the stretch police!
  22. Haha love it! glad he didnt fall in whilst ice fishing, he'd have no doubt been eaten! Always surprises me when i see how small he is... almost didnt notice him in the R35s lights!
  23. hmm have to see how funds are.... alternatively, if you're heading down there and fancy a bit of success ballast id be happy to meet you in bham and ride shotgun... obviously i'd put muchos beer tokens towards a lift down there... and then i could act as club photographer while im down there?
