  1. Gotta be someone nearby who can lend u a set fora while?
  2. Yep, this. I watch whatever car related shows i can - my top list is Top Gear UK Top Gear US (I seem to be the only person in the UK who likes it) Fifth Gear Roadkill on Motortrend (like Topgear, except old american cars) Epic Drives on Motortrend Chris Harris on cars on Drive Tuned on Drive All episodes of Mighty Car Mods (Australians, but brilliant) Car and Driver Abroad on Car and Driver And despite all of these, there still arent enough car things to keep me entertained! looking forward to BTCC and F1 starting again

  4. You'll have to be quick, the rear seats will be the first things to go to make way for harnesses! spacers nah, but lowering definitely! 60 profile wheels and standard suspension will handle a lot like a boat...
  5. close, e36 saloon. proper poverty spec as well, its fallen through the bmw options list tree and not hit a single branch on the way down. literally has nothing. the closest thing to a luxury it has is an electric window... just the one though!
  6. yeah, its possibly the most unoriginal choice for a track car ever, but cant say fairer than the price i won it for... a whopping £410. for a WHOLE CAR. with an MOT until october 2013. for £410. thats more than three ponies less than a monkey. first step is sorting insurance, and getting it home. oh, and it also needs some tax... but then mega cheap track fun can commence!
  7. hehe yep i'll let Will have his fun... I will say we've just picked it up for an absolute bargain price!
  8. Random spot from the other day... a brilliant hilarious film called 'One Eyed Monster' (Yes, its exactly what you're thinking) features a zed quite prominently - so much so that someone actually dies in it after it rather predictably gets stuck in the snow...
  9. youd hope not... the market for 1200bhp GTRs is pretty small... im sure they'd be happy to do some bread and butter diagnostic work!
  10. brillo used to be my brothers nickname at school, but i sort of adopted it myself around year 5 or something, and its stuck since. its because the afro- caribbean roots on my mums side make a darn good brillo pad!
  11. I'm a fan of the A/C as well, keeps me lovely and cool on hot days. ...i'll get me coat...
  12. dont bother keeping it looking oem - everyone who knows the cars will consider the fact that it still has the oem stereo in as a negative, because it wont work! You'll get far better quality sound out of an aftermarket unit, and do away with the 1980s cassette deck and join the 21st century with an aux in!
  13. Route des Grandes Alpes seems like a good starting point, not sure if its quite the area you were going for? http://www.losapos.com/great_alpine_road
  14. i very rarely wash my car myself... a detailing friend recommended a place down the road that washes while you wait - but unlike most polish immigrant washing outfits, they snowfoam first, then use wash mitts and two bucket method, and then hand wax, so very reasonable for £10! Plus neither my current flat or my last flat had a hose outside, so i had to rinse with a watering can, which just doesnt work!
  15. it'll be terrible, but in a really really good way...
  16. Hot of the press - this went on youtube this afternoon! Matt Farah reviews Corey Hosford's 800bhp LS3 350Z drift machine on Tuned
  17. aye sounds like we'll be at a few of the same tracks! would love to track a zed, but costs and risks is too prohibitive... keep us updated with the build thread though
  18. Aston for me! the head honcho DR at Prodrive owns one, and its parked outside my office most days. Clarkson is right, its a stunning looking car, thes best aston have ever made, Willow Springs laser tag looked great fun, would love to try that!
  19. Mmmm i actually really like that... The Do Luck bumper, skirts and diffuser all look really good, and i actually like the spoiler... makes the car look low and sleek. actually reminds me very strongly of the 9ff GT9, which is an absolute cruise missile of a car. i dunno about the price... yes its an elderly import, but its only done 25k and assuming its got the bodykit, wheels and suspension you're looking for i'd pay about £9k for it.
  20. Its on Pistonheads today, but i thought it was a great vid, so thought i'd share... this is how the advertising for the GT86/BRZ should have looked... rather spoils the story that the driver also found time to put on a crash helmet, and needed to detour through a quarry, but whatever. They also missed a trick by having the girl in baggy short things and not french knickers
  21. yep, any super is fine - even sainsburys 97. BP ultimate is a bit on the pricey side, but actually seemed to give an extra 1mpg over sainsburys stuff, so actually worked out about the same in terms of cost per mile.
  22. going by previous cars, the zed will be lowered on 19s by the summer or i'll eat my hat. possible other additions include a front splitter, you seem to like an aggressive front bumper!
  23. mmm would love the comedy value of a 220 bhp 850 kg car... would be so fun messing with other drivers who would hugely underestimate you!
  24. bout a week for me when im on hols... shame you cant take a zed with you really, would be awesome on some smooth spanish tarmac!
