  1. could also do the penny trick - 2 or 3 pennies in each spring gives a little extra lift, worked for me!
  2. yeah i'll put supermarket unleaded in my tank but... for some reason not halfords oil in my engine... maybe if i got very desperate!
  3. Spotted a car to take our trackday driving to the next level next year - i think we're doing quite well with BMW power, but need something thats a little more suited to track work, a bit stiffer with a bit more grunt. i was thinking a bid of maybe £700-800 on this ought to do it, what do you reckon? http://www.pistonheads.com/news/default.asp?storyId=29106
  4. gymkhana 4? now? you know they're up to 6 right? personally always thought 2 was the best, then 5, dont rate 4 that highly. actually probably my favorite KB video was the section he did with James May for Top Gear.
  5. i like it, but reminds me heavily of a lot of other cars - to build on wassos phrase, it looks like an aventadardo ...
  6. i like it, but reminds me heavily of a lot of other cars - to build on wassos phrase, it looks like an aventadardo ...
  7. the green ones looking very nice, from the outside... inside is in serious need of a refresh though, its just grey plastic everywhere. and the yellow thing... WTF
  8. hmmm maybe a round trip might be better - then when i run out of fuel, i wont be in the arse end of nowhere. im now thinking edinburgh and back... which would be 650 miles if i make it... and yeah, will take a few fuel cans for when the inevitable happens...
  9. over 70 isnt bad, although still 9 in reserve! Something i've always wanted to do is drive from home (leamington spa) to John O Groats and see how far i get on a tank... my guess would be somewhere north of inverness. maybe when im bored and feeling flush one day...
  10. haha thats cool! Although when i saw the still above i thought you had a huge lick of flame out the back of a single exit... but then i realised it was the reversing light and some steam
  11. im gonna go 66 litres, so still 14 left in the tank!
  12. no problem at all imo, fuel gauge and dte are shockinging inaccurate. could probably do work and back for the rest of the week, then fill up!
  13. ps only 4 350zs on there running 18x12 rears - http://rimtuck.com/search/thumbnails&make=Nissan&model=350Z&diameterr=18&widthr=12
  14. I'll post what i always post when someones looking for advice with wheel fitment... http://rimtuck.com/ All the specs and pics you could ever need
  15. yep i actually quite like the look lol but would say you have to have a heavily modified car to pull it off.
  16. if i had the option, probably white... or failing that, black with colour coded stitching to match the exterior colours.
  17. well millteks are £900 new, so i'd maybe offer £400 and see what he says... although i suspect he might want more depending on how many miles the exhaust has done...
  18. worth a watch... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a7x2YDgXzss
  19. just cut a tiny hole in the mid pipe before the back box - that will then a) be a lot louder than stock, and be good incentive to get a proper system!
  20. crikey it would be considerably cheaper to get a secondhand engine - or maybe buy another car!
  21. you'll be lucky to gain any bhp with any exhaust... but speak to 14N, pretty sure he replaced just the mid pipe with a straight 3" pipe, didnt really make a lot of difference if i remember correctly. save your money and get a y pipe back exhaust
  22. hmmm, i havent declared my stubby aerial... i'm pretty sure normal road tyres dont need to be declared... track tyres probably should. and possibly uprated brake pads and fluid doesnt need to be declared - although increased disc size or calipers i do think need to be declared. however, a decent set of road michelins and some decent pads and fluid will make a car a lot faster round a track
  23. just noticed this this morning.... if you have headlights and rear fog light on, when you turn the headlights off, the fog light also clicks off at the same time. similarly if you just turn the fogs on without turning the headlights on, it will automatically click on the side lights - however you then need to use the headlight control to switch on dipped beams. Never noticed this on any of the other 6 cars i've owned! useful way of preventing you from forgetting to turn off your foglight, but i'm yet to see a use for having rear fog light and just side lights on... probably cos its too difficult to make one turn of foglight toggle automatically do two turns of headlight toggle.
  24. Didn't they put the vq into the espace too? seems they did, but we already know that renault used to be mental... a mid engined rwd clio sees to that! however, i'd rather some proper JDM styling than a boggo espace, even if both can be had with a VQ35 engine!
