  1. So your check engine light isn't showing when you're driving?

I've been tasked with a similar brief from my brother for an estate around £10k with less than 40k on the clock. I suggested the Subaru legacy estate (you'd probably be looking at the diesel for better fuel consumption) and he seemed to like the Audi a4/a6.
  3. Could be a clicking rear axle, have a search for that.
  4. This one seems to fit the bill but you'd have to do a swap of the seats with someone: http://www.350z-uk.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=56&t=65045 p.s. I'd knock off Nissan service history from your requirement list if I was you, it's generally acknowledged that the main dealers don't properly know what they are doing with these and I would take the service history of a good independent as being the best.
  5. Removing the boot's counterweight worked for me

  7. I beleive the Halogen headlights have a 6 pin pin plug whilst xenons have an 8 pin plug, at least they do in America. There is a guide of how to wire up a 6 pin plug to fit on the xenon headlights, as quite a few people across the pond wanted to upgrade their halogens to xenons.
  8. That would certainly make the nismo weldina backbox that is on eBay for £250 look like a good deal...
  9. I was going to say try sitting on the bonnet, but humping should have the same effect and is more enjoyable to boot... Mine sets off when anything with a loud exhaust goes past. As mine has a loud exhaust I always say it can dish it out but it can't take it.
  10. I'm pretty sure that the quote is from red dwarf directed at Kryten. So, what do I win?
  11. Japspeed K1 with bungs (with Colin in the distance) Soon to have a blitz nur spec on though
  12. I use Gaspari myofusion as all the flavours I've had have tasted good and that is a mix of whey, egg and milk proteins which have the different release rates that neilp was talking about. It also has CLA to help burn fat and flax seeds which sounds like its something you're looking for, rather than muscle building. I can recommend the chocolate peanut butter, tastes like a snickers. The phd diet whey could be a good one also, with ingredients to speed up metabolism and burn fat but I don't have personal experience of it. They also make a phd diet whey bar if you prefer that to a shake.
  13. The super pros compete at Trax which is the first Sunday of September at Silverstone which I should be going to again this year. I remember seeing Freddie Aasbo doing a backwards entry into one corner, it looks like he'd lost it but then pulled it back round for the corner. I went to see the zed that I now own on the way back from Trax last year. I was in one of the drift taxis at Japfest 2 also. That was fun, especially when he went off track and he got a bit worried. When I'd had the zed for just a couple of weeks I went up to the Nissan factory as there was the final round of the BDC held there last year. Shane Lynch's V8 is certainly loud, but although he qualified first but he spun out and then crashed on his 2 runs so was out in the first round. The team falken Nissan v35 is for sale at the moment: http://www.driftworks.com/forum/drift-cars-sale-private-sales/180404-team-falken-2jz-gte-675hp-v35-g35.html Watching/ hearing/ smelling drifting is good but I wouldn't want to have to foot the bill for the tyres!

Indeed, if it makes you feel better £280 certainly wasn't the minimum bid I put in, so you wouldn't have got them that cheap. Thanks for forgetting, sounds like I owe you a drink!

    Motordyne Exhaust

http://www.350z-uk.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=32&t=60767 His had done "a few thousand miles" but also came with the straight through attachment. I was using that as the most recent one sold second hand, if you can get more for yours then great, I'd like them to hold their value more for when I come to sell mine on! I won't tell you how much I paid for the art pipes and xyz together as that would make you cry.

I remember introspect selling his xyz with hfc for about £375 not so long ago. Depending on how much saving you'd make would determine how much the hfc would have to sell for to make it worthwhile. If the $300 turns into £200 you'd have to sell the hfc attachment for £175 to make it worthwhile, assuming you can still sell an xyz with hfc for £375. P.s. I'm swapping my stock cats, japspeed y and k1 for art pipes, xyz with hfc and blitz backbox on Friday, can't wait!
  17. I can't think of anyone I know in car sales off the top of my head unfortunately. Would be good if I did as I just want to know what it comes back with, I'm not really bothered about the guarantee. Cheers for the advice though, I'll rack my brain for anyone I know in the car biz.
  18. Just be aware that there is a high risk of catching the incurable disease called "zeditis" at these meets which leads you to spend all your money on modding the zed... With regards the test drive, I can understand why you are angry at the service you received. Saying that they get all sorts coming in for a test drive is pretty irrevelant as your previous car history shows that you aren't just someone after a joy ride. You could just go back and talk to someone else and say you are interested in that particular car they have, but I think I'd probably go elsewhere myself after that experience. Hopefully you can find somewhere closer than Norwich though, I've heard of Chorley Nissan as my car was serviced there before I got it, I think they have a few locations around your sort of area.
  19. It's a '94 eunos roadster so they wouldn't be able to get much for it through a log book loan as a worst case scenario. Thanks for the suggestions so far.
  20. Im looking at getting another car as a track toy and want to do the usual checks that its not been written off, no outstanding finance etc. Which is the best/ cheapest place to get such a check done that people use?
  21. I've got a Bluetooth adapter for sale at the moment: http://www.350z-uk.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=32&t=64420
