Success, kind of. Got the sound sorted, amp cable needed spliced into the wiring loom. The reverse camera still isn't working, checked the wiring over and over so hopefully it's just something in the settings needs changed. Gave up for the day. Will play with it tomorrow or next time I'm back on shore and have another bash at the camera, then the internal antenna

Haha I'm loosing the will to live here, plugged the old bose back in and speakers are working so it must either be the new HU or the connectors I'm thinking. Atleast if I can get the sound sorted I can worry about the camera later

Unit seems to be working, can get on the Internet from the wifi in the house. Just can't get any sound. I've stripped down and redone the buster mod just to make sure it wasn't that. But still no sound from a cd. Steering wheel controls don't seem be skipping tracks adjusting the volume either. I thought this was going nice an easy u till I put the power on lol

No sound either, not having a good morning!

Thats where I am at the moment, but nothing is happening when I stick I in reverse. Any ideas where I'm going wrong?

Nope not grids lol, lc818's 235mm is roughly 9 1/4 inch so would only be 1/8 inch either side, surely wouldn't be much of a stretch? Looking at the calculator again 245 might actually be closer to original spec for the front, would it rub though being a bit wider and lowered slightly? Scrub that. stevod that's even closer, don't know how I overlooked that

Just ordered new wheels from rare rims, now about to order tyres just wanted to double check that i've done the sums right. Wheels are going to be 19x9.5 ET20 front and 19x11 ET25 rear, car is lowered on Teins so nothing major, Will 235/35/19 front and 275/35/19 rear be correct? don't want to have TC issues Thanks

Anyone shed some light on what the shot red wires on the extension cable are?

Buster mod done, but still not got round to fitting the system, hopefully will get time before the weekend. Reverse camera arrived. Few questions about fitting this. What are the short red wires on the yellow connectors for? Red connector should just be spliced into reverse light and earth? And ill need to run a wire from the reverse light into the reverse wire in the wiring loom for the HU so the HU knows when to switch to camera?

I quite fancy LC818 alloys but not sure if i'd stick with the black or go for the silver, Waiting on rare rims getting back to me with a price

Ahh seen an identical one for a fiver more once import tax is added coming from England somewhere so will try and cancel the order and buy the one already in the UK, will make any issues with returns etc easier for the sake of a fiver. Just daunting looking at pics seeing 100s of wires and needing to cut and solder the correct ones, don't want to cut the wrong one lol. Based in Falkirk, Yeh bamboozled me but if I can get clear pics ill just blindly cut and solder as per pics and not worrie about trying to understand what I'm cutting and soldering if that makes sense.

My bose has given up working on the left side speakers when playing CD's I've already stripped down and re crimped the ribbon a few years back and worked a treat until recently so time for an upgrade. The M16 bolt is held on with a lock nut and a spring washer so that's not going anywhere, I'm considering tack welding the plate onto the M16 bolt though or ill take the plate off again and stick a locking grub screw in it. Just purely for the fact I can take it off if I ever fancy going some where nice for pics and I didn't want to commit to sticking it anywhere until I'm sure that's where i want it. in case you weren't being sarcastic its the vauxhaull VXR green with green flake through it lol

Got a break in the weather today to give the car a quick wax then fitted the front plate with a bit of creativity. Totally ruined the front of the car now its legal but cant think where else to stick the plate that's not to intrusive Wee shots of my mount Might need to stick some bits of foam or something to the ends of the plate to stop it hitting the bumper at higher speeds It is now raining! typical

Fitted the front plate back on to keep the Police off my back. Not much of a mod but did have to machine a M16 bolt to fit the tow eye then drill and tap it to take a M6 bolt to hold my mounting plate. Used 6mm pads to compensate for the m6 bolt head. Has ruined the look of the front Left a few mm gap
