  1. I emailed them yesterday with no reply. Probably on their way to Spain with my money right now!
  2. Just noted the description also says there is only 4 fixing holes! could be an interesting one this!
  3. Keep us posted on the progress!
  4. Having removed the speedo converter and clocks the problem has gone away completely so I can at least put it down to one of those. I'd be tempted to say its the speedo converter but I guess I'll never truly know! Still worth a thread for other people who come across this fault I guess!
  5. Sounds similar to the problem I had although are you sure its not the speedo doing it rather than the revs, that is what makes the mileage go up. viewtopic.php?f=37&t=52102
  6. The tyre pressure monitors have another control unit and an aerial then the sensors in all 4 wheels. I suppose its possible in some small way that the wiring loom for this might be in place. If you could locate it then in theory you could add the extra module and see where it takes you!
  7. Its pretty simple. if they are fake he goes to prison! you would have to be a massive bell end to think you could advertise literaly thousands of sets of discs and not get spotted. much more likely to be an error but at under £40 I'm willing to take that risk!
  8. Welcome! I keep my Z running mostly to a weekend. I'm getting a healthy 24MPG at the moment with generally running about. I think a good thrash would take it into single figures though! I too bought a Jap import and am more than happy with it, I did change the clocks over to UK though for proper MPH and computer calculations. Insurance is quite expensive too so worth a consideration. Have a read up as there appears to be quite a few pitfalls, I just took a chance and seem to have got lucky really! Kev
  9. anyone also noticed all the other brembo discs they are selling for dirt cheap?
  10. too cheap to not buy a set but I'll be amazed if we don't all receive brake pads in the post! someone has bought 5 sets by the looks of it too, buying to sell on maybe?
  11. £100 seems a good price to me but I would want a good job and not the same sort of finish you got on the spoiler!
  12. Shoddy paintwork on the spoiler although arguably you cant hold the trader responsible for what's left after your old spoiler comes off however it should really have been sorted or at least mentioned before attaching the new spoiler unless you knew and didn't want it doing. simple answer is take it back and say you aren't happy, crap spoiler or not the prep has been poorly done, its obvious. it could just be one of those jobs that didnt turn out right though so give the trader ample opportunity to sort it out!
  13. first thing I did when I got my Z. the original biting point was terrible! mine now sits about level with the brake pedal and is much easier!
  14. its a right bitch apparently although I'm sure with enough time and effort it would be possible. Cost probably makes it prohibitive. There IS an american supplier of an after market cruise system that works with the fly by wire throttle of the Z. Not too expensive either. Being a JDM owner its something I'd like to have retrofitted at some point.
  15. yeah thats what I'm getting from what I've read. Still not 100% sure if Blatz works on JOBD. Any suggestions you might have?
  16. anyone get any updates on this? Currently trying to do the same! Cheers Kev
  17. This section should be banned! I would have had this for pence....
  18. does the cubby retract into the dash or is it like the other type that just flips up?
  19. Welcome! Whereabouts in Yorkshire are you based?
  20. Turn the lights on while facing a wall. HID's come on dim them get brighter and are a blueish tint. Its hard to explain anymore but it should be blatently obvious!. and if you DO have HID's replacing them with non HID bulbs is a backwards step IMO. you could always use the bulbs you got in the high beam as these are non HID.
  21. Its Yank for CAI. I think they need to change it then. That pop charger looks much more like a WAI than a CAI to me. A CAI should have the air coming from outside the engine bay. and a cold air feed doesn't cut it either.
  22. Most people only care about leather seats so you could always fit those second hand if you were bothered. People make a big play about the GT pack but this is because they know all about it. Most people when starting to look for a 350z have no idea what the specs are and what they include, they do however see leather seats and think mmmmmmmm nice! Price is also a key factor!
  23. Cant help on the places to stay I'm afraid but I'll be passing through there in a few weeks. If you don't already know you need to check this out when you are there! http://speedhunters.com/archive/2009/08 ... aming.aspx
  24. We bought a new Suzuki alto earlier this year for just such a job, 3 cylinder 1 litre. over 60mpg on a run and £20 a year road tax, insurance group 1. They were on a VAT free based offer at the time to it seemed like a no brainer really, we only need 2 cars at a weekend so we use the alto through the week and both cars at the weekend. 100% gutless but 10 out of 10 for thrash round fun and cheap motoring.
