    350z Service

HEy all sorry i not been around had some things going on anyway i have tucked the car away for the winter and im planning on giving it a bit of TLC whilst she is off the road, will post the other items in different areas. So anyway enough rambling, im hoping to do the service on the Zed Its an O5 GT4 car so its now 6years old according to the service schedule it should be a P2 service (plus brake fluid change plus coolant change as extra service items at additional cost) I normally get all my Oils from Opie oils what would people recommend Plugs i see ZMANALEX is the person to talk to which plugs are best ? any other items i should consider ?
  3. Hey guys its the door multipin connection from chassis to door most people drill through it for different cables etc....
  4. Im after either the drivers door SMJ male and female connector or passenger door male and female connector preferably with a few inches of cable on them anyone got some or know where i can get them ?
  5. cheers guys i have reset it and so far so good just seemed very odd that it came up will keep you all posted.....
  6. Hey everyone was driving to work today in 6th gear cruise control on 70mph ish when i got an eml light come pulled over checked the code on Centrafuse P1283 quick Google showed up in the states as forced induction error so reset code and turned car off left it 20min then started car up continued my journey hasn't come back on what may have caused this ? have done no work under the bonnet other than what was on the car when i got it Plenum spacer and JWT intake Is this just a sensor glitch or should i be more worried its not remapped etc but have just had a new alarm fitted....
  7. HIya yeah seen the guide on drilling the holes not a huge fan of that my self im just fussy lol on my past few cars i have managed through hunting around track down the actual male and female pins to go into the Molex connectors i just think its a nicer solution. could be seen as me being really really OTT and Fussy about something that no one else will see lol
  8. Hi all does anyone know the pin size of the standard door molex as i understand it here are some empty slots on the molex im after running a few wires to the door so thought i would ask, i have various sizes at my disposal but instead of trying hundreds upon hundreds of different sizes thought i would ask if any one has an idea Cheers Rabs
  9. Hey guys as above im looking for both male and female connectors from the doors Does anyone have access to any ?
  10. Ok so small update again Had a Clifford Avantguard5.5 Alarm Fitted on friday the guy did try the new system which runs via the Can-bus but unfortunately the car wouldn't talk to the can-bus module had it had done this it would have made all the system easier to install... Instead he did it the analogue way, the whole system was installed in about 6 hours and was done very neatly. i couldn't decide on the LED location, so i fitted it my self yesterday. The installer did wire in the Boot pop but spotted a small hiccup with it last night in that the boot pop only works if the alarm is un-armed not really a bad thing but i will be changing it soon. So onto today i fitted one of my reverse dip mirror kits was fairly straight forward, if you Know how to use a DMM. 90% of the cables you require are located in the passengers foot well. the only cable i didnt look for was a constant 12v as i had already brought my own cable through the bulkhead from the battery.
  11. OK thought i would revive this as no one responded im also looking for full door wiring schematics Is there a constant 12v in the doors if so what fuse rating are they on ? PDF or image would be useful
  12. OK so at the weekend i felt the car could do with some love so it got given a good old wash Started with a Snow foam Rinse After this i gave the car a rinse then a hand wash with the wiggly wobbly wash mit lol Closely followed by a full Lube up and Clay Bar session. Once the clay bar had been done time for another wash by hand and the wiggly wobbly wash mit Then dried and out came the G220 Polisher wish a Meguiers Cutting compound and red Pad this allowed me to remove some of the surface Swirls. Once the whole car had been finished with the Polisher then it was ime to buff the car one last time before apllying the polish I applied Colonite Polish and then buffed the windows to allow the water to bead off every part of the car including the carbon fibre here are the finished pics
  13. wow you found me i thought i was hiding lol i didnt get out of that field where my club was based all weekend so didnt see many other cars or parts of the show glad you all like the yellow one hopefully see a few more at some shows....
  14. Must add the paint shown in the pic is prior to any form of polishing which i did after lol
  15. Hey all Ok so after preparing my car for the JAE show and it being on the stand i noticed alot of little stone chips that i want rid off. When i had my Lexus i used Dr-colourchips Roadrash kit which worked great you smother the area and then leave it to harden looks like you got carried away with a rattle can and over spray lol once its all gone off they say about 2 hours max but i normally leave it over night. You then work it off with a sealant they provide which you rub on the surface removes all the excess paint but leaves the holes filled. here are 2 shots a before and an after After Now i have the kit designed for paint code E33 but it looks like mustard when applied lol they say to give it a bottom coat of white which i have done as well and still cant seem to get a good match Has anyone had any luck with touching up the yellow paint.....
  16. Hey all got a little project in mind to do with the mirrors i have a Service cd but struggling to locate the wing mirror wiring info does anyone have a PDF of the wing mirror wiring ? Cheers Andrew
  17. ok so back to the original question is the Injen single intake or dual intake worth the money what are they like on a 350z on a lexus LS430 it sounds great and appears to have upped the power but no dyno to prove on the car i fitted it on same goes for a SC430 but what about on the 350z
  18. OOh cheers for that what sort of cost do they go for new or second hand and where have you seen some so i can have a hunt around Cheers
  19. as its my 1st 350z im kinda newbie to it so not sure the variations between available kits cost etc and its a GT4 so not sure if that has an impact on the type of kit that can be fitted......
  20. OK so i was toying with the idea of supercharging the car but the kit is no longer available so been thinking of other things for now The car has the JWT induction but i saw the 350z with dual Injen on Youtube and liked the look of it however it doesnt look like it fits uk specs ? does anyone have any experience with them failing that i have installed a few single Injen on Lexus models and liked the way they sounded anyone here got one what's your views/reviews
  21. Not to mention my GT4 parked very close 2 lol and the other 40 cars on the stand we got lol
  22. sorry for the delay guys and girls here is the obd running ignore my taste in music lol
  23. well ok so thought id change the fans today thought 2 screws it cant be that hard, well the cowling is bigger than the width of the alloy rad once the 2 scres were removed it wasnt having any of it so.. off came the intake then i realised the rad hose had to come of to allow the plastic up past the rad so with lots of coolant escaping it still wasnt going to come out by this time i was getting anoyed as i though it was a simple 2 screws the unbolt the fans, dso put it all back together re filled the system and cleaned the car instead so needless to say the fans have not been changed, i really cant see how this unit just comes up past the top of the rad....
