Slight hyjack - Do you need the code to refit the standard Bose ? As in if i replace it can i put it back in later or do i need the code

Cheers thats a great help , cant help thinking this is a bigger job that i first imagined , i might just order the cameras anyway and wire them in to the boot so i dont have to remove the dash parts again when i do get the confidence/help to start removing the rear bumper. Do you ( Or anyone ) know if there is a grommit hole going to the engine bay anywere i could use for the front camera ? it was my front lip of the bodykit i was most getting these for. EDIT - Just seen sparks reply ! Did you remove the rear bumper at all or can you actually fish out the wires if you just push them through from the licence plate area ?

How do you actually get from the boot to the rear plate / Reverse light ?

Hi Peeps Being a pest here again , anyone know were i can run a couple of wires in for parking cameras ? One needs to go from the headunit to the front ( Mesh in bodykit ) and the other to the rear licence plate and tapped into the reverse light. Dont want to start ripping out more panels than need be

To add a bit of closure and help to anyone else, after a bit more digging i found that 99% of other mics will work as long as its a normal 3.5mm Jack connection , in my case the guy is sending out the origonal one.

Im only 20 , look about 17 and having only had the car 4 days iv already had 2 shops full of people stare at me getting out the car and proceed to stare at me and wispering as i walked round the shop Had a group of people in a restraunt looking at it through the window then when they noticed me getting in it they all pointed and were talking amonst themselves And on my way from the pictures i had the window down and heard a group of people ( we know of each other but not to talk to ) realised who i was and i heard one say "what the actual F*%k" Loving it There was a scary moment when me and a mate got out the car to go for a pizza , i was paranoid so went back to the car to wait for him and a couple of drunkards were extremly close to the car not realising id gone back to it when i heard one say did you see who got out that , to which his friend replied/slurred "Yeah they looked like 10 !" glad they wernt the jealous type ,thats my main worry at the moment

Thanks for that quick and great reply Forgot about the AEM intakes il have to take a look at the Z's options from them now ! Its the appearance of the kit that i find off putting with the JWT as it really does look like an eBay/Argos thing were as the AEM and K&N Stuff normally come with a chrome/colored pipe and surround for the filter and have heard and used the brand. Id like something esthetically pleasing as well as sound and slight performance and at the same time dont want to waste my money if iv got it wrong with the JWT if that makes sense !

Just wondering coming from one heavily modded car to fresh one , why is it most seem to go for the JWT Popcharger over other similar induction kits , or a brand like K&N offerings ? On the last forums i was a member of people went for branded stuff and would have seen the "pop" charger as something that would be for sale in Argos for £25 clipped on the standard intake. Curious as i was just looking at a few.

Iv a new double din unit that has Bluetooth built in but the person i bought it from didn't include the Mic , Does anyone know if any external mic will do the job or do these type of things need specific brand by brand parts ?

Hi Guys , As a slightly more expensive option to a radio transmitter i bought a Meos 7 from eBay ( Don't worry it was an auction so didn't pay £200 ! ) on the basis it had a nice looking GUI and could at least play my iPod through it and a few videos via SD. Looking up what i now need to fit it as an afterthought and apparently there is 3 wires coming from the units Loom for steering wheel controls , I assume ( Clenched ) that i will be able to splice into somewhere on the existing wires taken from the standard unit and that would be that ? Iv looked around the Web for a few hours now and noticed the adapters you can buy for branded units, unfortunately there aren't any specifically for this one. In return il post up a full review of the unit , fitting and how it works with the Z , full of pictures and vids as i have found a few threads on here asking about them

Cheers lol , Well i tried an itrip thing but it kept disconnecting and found a Meos ( China think ) going cheap on eBay in the UK so bought that for £120 , If its crap il try and sell it on as they seem to go for that price on average second hand. Im about to put a post up in the ICE section so you can follow up my experience there !

Cheers guys , well im not fussed about satnav as already have a decent tom tom , Main reason for wanting one was for the ipod control and to be able to store and play my music as music videos on the screen

Been looking at those but iv only around £200-250 to play with so have jsut been keeping an eye out for a second hand unit , I know i shouldnt but those China jobbies are looking liek a good tempoary solution
