Just finished reading all those pages...! That first vid you posted ages ago of the amuse car up on the ramps was what convinced me I eventually wanted a 370z. Awesome no-compromise attitude on the build I just wish I had a 370 to fit all the bits that keep coming off it! I vote twin for the exhaust....only reason to have quad is if it's one of those electric ride on kids supercars!

What's the point in replacing these? Do they fail structurally or is it merely due to the level of corrosion? Are they easy to change- ie bolts only?

Decided to go for some bilstein dampers in the end as most of my driving is road. Lovely things these though.

Thanks Ross, sounds good. Yep, EMP/ Top Gear are a good place- although they wouldn't modify the existing pipes (for fear of damaging them) they may weld some new tailpipes on so may well contact them Monday.

Thanks. I'm actually after these as I love the damping control and tein in general. My issue is that I an only just get the car in at work- Any lower and I wouldn't get in the car park....and most decent set ups drop by 30mm etc. I will check that they will ride at standard height- if so I'll have them...

Are the Teins height adjustable? What's the range if so and if not- what's the drop? Thanks.

Down in Hertfordshire....how easy is it to laser etch stainless steel/ chrome? It's marked nismo on the tailpipes and I'm keen not to loose that. To be fair though as I'm about to take a dremmel to it to cut the inner sleeve off I may end up having to weld anyway if that doesn't work.. I have asked one place who weld exhaust but got the old 'won't touch it as it's not our stuff' line (top gear, st Albans).

Yeah, that currently what I'm thinking about now. Tbh the sound is so good on the nismo it's gonna be a shame to have to change it just because of that.

I've had an issue with the tailpipe on my nismo (weldina) back box (inner sleeve of tailpipe has detached) and sadly they are rarer than a very rare thing to get hold of. If anyone has a backbox alone (miltek, akrapovic, nismo) or similar available- or even where to get similar let me know. Demon tweeks want silly cash and you have to buy the full system for miltek which obviously I don't really need. Thanks!

Is that the rev limiter or where the red starts on the dial? Reason I ask is I think my de car may have had a rev-up tune but don't know how to tell....

Probably Heat shields on the cats- large jubilee clip is the cheap option (and lasts years) although second hand standard cats are cheap.

I bought my immaculate 2004 uk car for £8000 when it was 7 years old. To get a similar 7 year old (2007/8) car now....seems higher. The HR engine does seem to make quite an impact on price. I'm looking at 12k for a late HR from the garages and good private sales of such cars seem rare. Issue is that there is nowt wrong with mine- meaning that making the change would be a luxury! Also surprised that 370z prices are remarkably stubborn for a large engine sports car...

I have one and have seen them come up for around a grand second hand (2k new). I'm always worried that if anything happened to mine if never get another! There was one on here a few months ago actually. Good luck- the sound is worth waiting for ....search for 'weldina' too, this is what Japanese Nismo is stamped.

Anyone know somewhere I can get decent led bulbs from? Ultraleds used to do them but there stopped that range now Anything like ebay is 12v rated and blow because the z spikes to 14.1v.... Specifically I'm after tail lights (ie the bulb that's on when your front lights are on) and the number plate ones. Thanks!
