  1. Blimey...this thread is still going.
  2. Agreed but on the few occasions I see another zed out there I won't be deterred and I shall continue to in the hopes one day my enthusiasm will be reciprocated...... Come on forum members and enthusiasts there has to be at least one time we'll pass each other and give a or a look out for me I'm the waving, smiling chap in the silver 370 I'm always up for a wave (so long as my slow brain remembers to make me do it)
  3. Thing is, we don't own super expensive or incredibly exotic cars so chances are that in addition to us friendly enthusiasts there is a large proportion of owners who don't feel quite as enthusiastic about being part of the 'club' as we do. Their loss.
  4. I've read mixed reviews about HKS exhausts, but they certainly look the business. There was a video on YouTube of a UK 370Z owner who had the HKS Super-Sound system fitted by Abbey. That sounded good. But for the money, and considering the potential hassle of sourcing one over here, (not sure that Abbey even supply them any more - I think they've moved over to Milltek) you'd be better off going for one of the more readily available systems. There's a ton of choice - check out the 'Tarmac Sportz' website, for example. http://www.tarmacspo...47-09b52eb6090b Be aware that there can be minor fitting issues when fitting an after-market exhaust to the Nismo. They're usually fairly easy to solve though. You might want to have a look at my thread about fitting a Stillen exhaust and Cobra high flow cats to my Nismo (definitely well worth it, despite being quite pricey). There's a brief sound clip at the end. http://www.350z-uk.c...llen-treatment/ The Stillen is a great choice - even without the high flow cats it sounds really good. It also has the advantage of looking similar to the stock Nismo system when fitted. One or two of the popular systems, such as the Invidia, might not look as good on the Nismo as they do on the other 370s, due to the design of the exhaust tips. I think the Nismo needs quite hefty looking fully round tips to fill the rear diffuser or it might look a bit odd.
  5. There was a survey in the media recently about more and more couples choosing not to have kids (I'm one half of such a couple) and one of the reasons given was "our car only has two seats".
  6. Yep - seen some pictures with brown hair. I actually prefer that usually but I think she looks best with the blonde hair....
  7. I reckon she Is by far the best looking woman on TV. But my fave character acting wise is the guy who plays Tyrian (the dwarf). Excellent actor and great character.
  8. I see there is a guy on page 13 claiming to have gone from 326 to 370bhp with a few mods. Must know something the rest of us don't to have made those gains........or he's talking out of his bottom The weird thing I find about the 370 is that while you can't deny it's not been a success in terms of sales, they always seem to generate very positive reactions when people actually see them. There's a new Cayman, two TTs and a nice black GT86 in our little road and I swear to you that the Z is invariably the car that people stop to look at (and take a photo of in the case of one guy last week).
  9. I used to deal with complaints in the organisation that runs the courts (HMCTS). Every once in a while there would be a complaint from someone who's relative or loved one had been summoned for jury service despite having died some years earlier!
  10. I may be in for some stick for saying this but I don't think I'd go for a remap again. The remap on my previous 370 cost in the region of £400+ and I'm not convinced that the difference I felt in driving the car was worth that outlay. That's not in any way a criticism of the work, which I know was first rate (and done buy a great bunch of guys at Abbey). It just felt like a lot of money for a difference that felt to me very subtle and which I very quickly ceased to notice.
  11. Shame we've nothing to land on it anymore.
  12. Yep. They're a nightmare to remove if they dry.
  13. Interesting thread and great pictures.
  14. I looked at them when I was researching exhausts for my previous 370. Superb quality but very pricey compared to most other systems.
  15. I had a similar reaction when I said I wanted the current car. "What you want to change the car again....already!? But it's the same car with a big shelf on the back".
  16. Can't argue about the seats - I want some!
  17. I did one of those one week intensive courses. Major stress!
  18. oh bugger - was really hoping this would stay in the USA - 'cos launching it here is gonna create a lot of rows in my houshold Yeah when you're missus realises you bought the wrong Nismo
  19. It's quite fun to have a go at the online theory tests and see how you do. I did them to death when I was learning about 4 years ago: https://www.gov.uk/practise-your-driving-theory-test
  20. It depends on what you're trying to address. If it's just the usual stone chips on the bumper then you'll probably be ok with the tooth pick approach, but you could also investigate a solution called Chipex which works quite well for chips (just Google it). Anything more than a chip and I'd be quite wary about trying to repair it yourself. I posted quite some time ago about wasting about a £100 on products to try to mask a small but quite deep and noticeable scratch I got on my previous 370Zs door from a lamp post. In the end I couldn't get a finish I was happy with and ended up getting it sorted by a bodyshop. Yes it was expensive but the result was a totally invisible repair - well worth the money for me as leaving it as it was would have bugged me to death.
