    370Z Nismo

Yep - there's a thread about it in the Announcements section. I won't be rushing to change mine - not keen on the changes except for the seats.
  2. 1) Not sure what you mean but if you are wondering whether the Stillen without a cat change still sounds great - yes it does. It's a fantastic sounding exhaust on its own. Sporty and quite deep but not too loud. 2) Got no reply to that except the obvious - if you don't like the look of the Stillen pick a different exhaust, although I think you'll struggle to find one that looks as close to the stock Nismo exhaust. Chances are you are going to have to compromise between a more visible back box or tips that look quite different to the ones on the Nismo. The Stillen back box is more visible (doesn't bother me at all) but the tips look really similar to the Nismo system.
  3. Having spent some time recently in a more 'normal' car (our lil' runaround Aygo) I've realised how much I like the 370's manual box. The Aygo feels very loose and imprecise in comparison.

I added Cobra high flow cats hoping they would improve the exhaust sound to a level that I was happy with, but they didn't. I wasn't looking for anything really loud but for some reason the cats made only a marginal difference to the sound of the exhaust. I now have a Stillen exhaust paired with the Cobras. I'd probably be happy with the Stillen alone but together they make for a great sound (although my girlfried doesn't agree). I guess you might get better results with different HFCs.
  5. That didn't take long. Good luck with the house buying.
  6. Quietly like the guy in the original post (but probably wouldn't be as funny without the accent).
  7. Come on then.....what's next or are you keeping it secret for now...?
  8. Er. No. You wrote 'Absolutely' indicating that you agreed 'absolutely' with Flex's post. I didn't agree with his post (i.e. that the gadget is a step in the right direction), so I didn't agree with your absolute endorsement of what Flex was saying. But hey, never let what you've written get in the way of having a little dig And I love the internet, gadgets, media etc. Just think there's a time and a place...
  9. I think it's bad in principle because it validates inappropriate behaviour. I don't want to see gadgets that imply you can safely do things you shouldn't be doing at all. (And I'm not convinced it would be significantly less distracting). I'm not having a go at your views - we just see this from a different perspective.
  10. Does seem to be a bit of an anomaly re the mileage quoted / mileage added figures, but really good ad apart from that - Good luck selling. What's next?
  11. Whilst I agree 1000% with this, I think you need to understand the total and under dependence the younger generations have on social media. Now if this helps save lives because the little tweeters aren't looking down at their phones and cant be made to stop doing and it actually makes things safer then how can it be a bad thing? Absolutely Doesn't matter what a load of 20/30/40/50 or even 60 something's think on here about social media, it is here to stay, a few years back nobody saw the point in text messages but with 4G and even better coming there won't be anywhere to hide from the interweb Sorry. Not with either of you on this at all. The logic appears to be - people use social media a lot therefore it isn't acceptable to suggest that there are circumstances in which social media shouldn't be used. There are many situations in which any rational person would say it's inappropriate to be checking texts etc and driving a car is just one of them.
  12. I know this is a car forum but this is my favourite thread by a mile
  13. Ok. Off the top of my head..... GT Ultimate variant needs to be added. (You've got the special yellow one but they were available in the other colours). Same as a fully loaded GT but with addition of tan/orange interior leather and alcantara interior. Probably more accurate to describe Black Edition as '40th Anniversary Edition aka Black Edition' 370 of them released in Europe Number plaque on strut brace Available in black (not sure exact name) and Quartz with smoked chrome colour wheels Nismo Worth adding Reversing camera as standard Different Bridgestones to the ones on the standard car (will look up the name later) Alloys are dark colour and Nismo branded Seats are 'Nismo' embossed Bodykit comes with black accents with red detailing Number plaque on strut brace GT Edition dates... Not sure if they are still being made To answer your question, the coupe is also available in Black Rose Re your Connect Premium question - I think the reversing camera only started to be standard with it from the GT edition onwards.
  14. Nice work. I'll have a look and see if I can suggest any additions. Perhaps this should be the start of our very own buyer's guide.

    370Z Nismo

I don't normally like silver cars one bit but it looks very nice.
  16. Kind of, but it's still missing special edition data on: 2009 Ultimate Yellow Black Edition Nismo Just really annoying having so many iterations to deal with, even if Zeds are extremely homogeneous by German standards. Sounds like we need a Dynamic Turtle to write the definitive UK guide then
  17. My late Father served with the RAF at Marham in the 1970s. He was part of the crew of a Victor. It's fantastic that there is a Vulcan flying again, but it would be really great if the mighty Victor was still flying as well. They last saw service in the Gulf war as tankers and now only do taxi runs.
  18. I see that one of the critically important life changing issues that this device is portrayed as existing for in the promotional material is so somebody can invite the beardy twit out for a coffee. I really don't know how we survived for the thousands of years during which such important issues couldn't be communicated to us instantly. This daft gadget just underlines the totally incorrect belief that reading texts, tweets (whatever) about ridiculous trivia is so important that it can't wait until we get home or stop the car somewhere safe.
  19. I also like the red Nismo but with the accents. Shame we only get the three colour choices. What colour is yours? (There are very few registered in the UK so you may well be the first female owner).

At the last check there were only 65 Nismo's registered in the UK so we're a rare breed
  21. Fair play. Enjoy the car.
  22. Nice car is definitely a red rag to these cretins but I've also seen a few very ordinary cars with obviously deliberate damage. Words can't describe how low I think these sad f'ers are.
  23. In all honestly I just couldn't live with Beemer - just something about the look of it that leaves me totally cold. But I get why you've given up on the 370. As I said, I think you've been very unlucky - the experience of the great majority of people on here does not mirror your own. Anyway, I hope you have a better experience with the new car. I do recognise the customer service gripes though. My experience of Nissan dealers is they're very helpful when you're buying but much less interested if you have a post-sale issue. When we picked up the Nismo (which was briefly a demonstrator) we discovered on the drive home that the mirror built into the sun visor was broken. Doesn't sound much but it's an integrated part so a £200+ fix to replace the whole visor. It took a lot of badgering, complaining and threats to escalate the issue before they finally admitted they knew it was broken all the time and didn't tell us. Eventually got them to pay for a replacement visor but it was very hard work. Poor service for such a pricey car.
