My Black Edition's interior was my favourite of the three 370Zs I've had. I'd happily fit a set of the seats in the Nismo. -
Good points in your original post. It's easy to get hung up on 0-60 times etc but there's more to enjoying a car than that.

One thing to bear in mind is that the Nismo Z needs some fairly hefty exhaust tips or the exhaust might look a bit lost under the rear diffuser. Not seen a Cobra exhaust in the flesh but it looks to have quite large tips so should hopefully look ok.

Might find this worth a read. http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/83723-my-nismo-given-the-cobra-and-stillen-treatment/ I've been very pleased with the Cobra HFCs and they are supposedly less likely to cause issues at MOT than the Berks. Be aware that you will get some rasp by adding the HFCs and it will be quite loud on cold start.

No. But you need to be aware that some people do have a specific problem with fitting a Stillen exhaust and high flow cats. The cats can push the exhaust down so that it vibrates on the cross brace. I was lucky not to have that problem but it's worth speaking to Will - he had to remove his HFCs. -
I probably did it the wrong way around. Bought the car then joined the forum for tips and information. The only forum of any kind that I visit regularly, and the only forum I participate in. Only downside is that it has led to me spending a lot more money than I otherwise would, e.g. once you read that the 370 needs a better sounding exhaust, that's it - goodbye £1k. ....once I saw the pics of GMan's new Nismo....etc etc.

Mine was on for a few weeks. I thought the sensor was faulty but when the car was serviced it turned out the front left tyre was very slightly down.

1) A large number of people who were bored at home or work expressed their views on a range of issues, frequently using spelling, grammar and punctuation that would suggest our system of education is on the verge of collapse. 2) One guy who must be very well off indeed spent a massive amount of money modifying his car to the point where it no longer has any original parts. 3) Ekona and SMD continued to court controversy by reminding us all, regularly, of all the cars that are better than a Z. 4) A guy called 'DBlock' upset some people, got banned, came back, upset some more people, then got told to go away again. 5) I made myself very unpopular by suggesting that Jeremy Clarkson is not in fact a genius of modern entertainment, but a bigoted buffoon. Thinks that's about it....

Not sure when it's supposed to be released. I believe one of our members, Dan/Ekona has arranged a test drive so he might know.I guess it might not be until next year....

My Nismo given the Cobra and Stillen treatment....

I keep trying to get a video from in the car but my other half isn't the best camerawoman! Last time I just ended up with a video of her feet Will see what I can do. She reckons it's too loud on cold start (it is pretty loud to be honest) but it quietens down. The big difference to the Stillen with stock cats is on hard accelleration - you get a sort of howl with the HFCs which I really like. You do also get some rasp though. I'm used to it now though. Bottom line is if I had to take the HFCs out tomorrow I would still be very happy with the sound. I never felt like adding HFCs to the last car which had the Stillen on - they just happened to go on the Nismo before I had the exhaust fitted. Didn't notice a difference with the filters to be honest but they're supposed to be good. I think the stock Nismo filters are the same as the standard car's. -
Definitely worth it for me. The fact that I've gone from 370Z to 370Z to 370Z Nismo will give you some idea of how much I like these cars. The Nismo has been by far my favourite. Whether it's worth the additional money is entirely subjective. It's been worth it for me in many ways (especially the handling, the looks and the positive attention it gets) and only disappointed me in two - I don't like cloth seats as much as the leather ones in the standard car and I wasn't happy with the exhaust note (the latter has now been fixed). Worth being aware that there is a newer variant of the Nismo due out here shortly. I won't be getting one though - I hate what they've done to the look of the car and it's exactly the same engine, so no power increase. It does have much nicer seats though and some people prefer the new look. If both the standard car and the Nismo are within your budget I'd follow the suggestions above - see and drive both cars, then decide. You may get a good deal on the current Nismo when the new one comes out but I don't personally see the prices dropping much; the last time somebody checked, there were only 65 Nismos registered in the UK. Good luck with finding the one for you. Here's a couple of Nismo shots to mull over and one of my first 370 to compare against.........

There is at least one thread with a list of issues to watch out for but I couldn't find it, so here goes as a starter for ten (the good news is there aren't that many common issues at all. I've also included some general info to be aware of). 1) If a 370 was built before a certain point in 2010 it will have been subject to a recall for a major issue related to the steering lock, which can prevent the car from starting. You would need to make sure the work had been done. 2) Quite seriously, nobody (or at least nobody on this forum that I'm aware of) likes the 370's stock exhaust note. It sounds pathetic. You will want to budget for a replacement system so that your sports car sounds like a sports car (£800 upwards for a decent system) 3) Check for wear on the alcantara parts of the interior and scratches on the interior plastics 4) Weak boot springs - check that the boot opens fully when the button is pressed. Not a big deal but it does affect a lot of cars (it's happened with all three of mine). It shouldn't be a deal breaker - it just means you need two hands to open the boot or you can get the springs replaced (there is also supposedly a fix involving inserting coins under the spings but I've never bothered trying it) 5) Check the side skirts and bumper for stone chips and the wheels for scratches and poor refurbishment work. The 370's wheels - silver and dark colours - are a two stage finish meaning that some refurb' outfits struggle to get a proper colour match. Some stone chips are obviously inevitable, but the bumper and side skirts can get quite a lot of them - worth checking those areas carefully and the brake callipers. The wheels are a big part of the car's look and they don't look good if they're scratched up. 6) Not sure about your BMW, but be aware that you need to use 97RON petrol or above (the filler cap says 98 but 97 is fine) 7) You're unlikely to get more than 15,000 miles out of a set of tyres. Budget in the region of £800 for a decent set of replacements (Michelin Pilot Super Sports are very well regarded on here) 8) Pre 2010 cars have an older version of the sat nav (lower resolution and non-touch screen - perfectly fine though) and no USB for Ipod (etc) connection (there is an analogue connector but it means you have change tracks on the Ipod/MP3 player rather than on the Nav unit itself) 9) Rear visibility is pretty much non-existent. Later models - GT Edition and Nismo (and possibly now the standard GT pack) have a reversing camera. For older cars you can get a very good kit to fit an integrated reversing camera to any 370 that has the post 2009 sat nav referred to above. I don't think it can be done easily on pre-2010 cars though. I had the kit with my previous 370 and it was as good as the one that came with my Nismo. Another option is parking sensors (or just parking/reversing very very carefully)! I'll leave others to add to the list.....

I hate waiting for things. Our car was briefly a dealer demonstrator in Yorkshire. When we decided to get it late last year we were originally told we'd have to wait until February this year to collect it as they needed to keep it for six months in total. In the end we persuaded them to let us take in early December and they put it in the showroom until we collected. I had the pick-up date marked on the calendar and was literally counting down the days. Conversely, when my other half got her new Aygo she just picked the one they had in the showroom. Signed the papers on a Friday and picked the car up the following Friday. If only it was always like that! I think you'd regret it if you gave up now. If it's the car you really want, just hang in there.

Being similar to Halo would be no bad thing in my book. I still prefer the original Halo to pretty much any other game I've played in 30 years. I wouldn't be put off by just the reviews. Having played the game quite a bit now I'd say the reviews are overly harsh. It's not perfect by any stretch but it's a lot of fun and there are plenty of ways to play it.

That white 370z happens to have been my first 370Z. It was a GT Ultimate model. I only discovered it had been on the programme some time after we bought it from a dealer in Winchester
